As this was the second time I did this tour with Cosmos my expectation was really high. It didn't only meet it but exceeded the expectation. I noticed some difference in the itinerary as last time it was just the start of Spring and Winter conditions were apparent. But this time I really enjoyed the Autumn weather. Our Group of 44 mostly Australians read more got along really well. No issues of lateness, we were all punctual and on many occasions left to our new destination early. We were so lucky to have the best tour director and coach driver. We all loved Patricia and Antonio. When I said the 'best' it all wraps into one - what you need and want them to be in order to have the most enjoyable experience in touring. Accommodation was top of the range as many times our hotels were upgraded.
One optional excursion that many of us were not happy with was the Greek Island cruise. We found it over priced and we were taken to islands just to see souvenir shops. The excursion to Monserrat Mountain in Italy should not be missed. Versailles Palace and Schonbrunn Palace are almost the same. I just wish that the 4-hour Sound of Music Tour in Salzburg, Austria, can be offered as optional. This was my third time in Salzburg and I was unable to take it in on my own as the Salzburg stay was only for 3 hours. As a whole I enjoyed more this All About Europe tour (previously named European Masterpiece) taking it the second time.

We had a great time on our holiday and have the following suggestions that may help future trips.
I suggest that Cosmos (or Global) highlight the risks associated with the bushfire season in Canada. This has been a regular problem for three years now and significantly detracts from the scenic expectations of the whole tour. I understand that it is read more a natural issue and beyond anyone's control but a warning may have helped when selecting a date for the holiday.
Our tour guide and driver were fantastic and hotels were great with one exception. We would not pick a tour again that included The Sandman Hotel in Vancouver. The room was too small (could not open two suitcases) and very noisy.
On any future cruise we contemplate we would need to know how it interacts with other cruise line timetables. Arriving at small towns (eg: Ketchikan) with four other cruise ships does not allow an enjoyable port experience.

We would like to thank Georgie again for a wonderful job organising everything for us and going out of her way to see to the small details. It was a wonderful 8 day tour a little bit rushed in places but all the hotels were of good quality.
This is my fourth booking with Cosmos & Global Journeys and as always, it has been amazing! Very well organised, planned and executed. Been to many countries, stop overs at many towns within the countries, places of interests and shared plenty of fun and laughter with tour group. All of this would not have been possible within a space of 23 days if read more it had not been with Cosmos & Global Journeys.
The coach was clean, comfortable and the driver was very experienced. We were told only he could have driven through the very narrow cobbled streets in the little towns and traffic in big towns with such ease. The tour director was was always around to guide us, give clear daily instructions and preview places we were going to visit etc. The hotels were mostly 3 stars which is fine with me. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although some of the tour members found some of bathrooms slightly small. I'm very happy overall as it is worry free holiday as Cosmos with it's years of experience has put together a great holiday package.

The highlight was definitely the Swiss Alps but the whole tour was interesting and visually stunning. Our tour guide was always helpful and polite and there was never any need for berating the tour group as we were always on time and we all seemed to get on well, especially towards the end of the tour when we knew each other better. I would definitely read more book again with Global Journeys.

My husband and I had a great time on our tour. The pace of the tour suited our needs and our tour director Brad and our driver Mickey were fantastic. Thank you to Madeline for making the booking process so easy. Words cannot describe the beauty of Canada and Alaska and I would encourage anyone thinking of doing this tour to do it.

Overall the tour was amazing, well organised, great guide with great knowledge, bus driver very competent with routes felt safe at all times. Cosmos staff at hotels and on excursions were great very informative and organised. Hotels during the tour were mainly good had one that was very poor, meals supplied were reasonable we all enjoyed breakfast in read more all hotels. Enjoyed the optional excursions, they were well organised and well worth doing as we did every one, it added to the cultural experience and was well explained by our guide at the beginning of the tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would look at another Cosmos tour in the not to distant future. A big thankyou to Juliet Scott for handling the booking and any queries we had. Was an amazing experience that will remain with us for the rest of our lives.

While the overall tour was good, there were some highs and lows on the tour. The highs are definitely the two days spent on the Rocky Mountaineer and the seven day cruise on the Volendam in the inside passage. I opted for the Gold Leaf experience and was really pleased with the whole experience except that I could not understand why we were sent to read more a different hotel than the Silver Leaf guests which was a shuttle bus ride of twenty minutes out of town. The seven day inside passage component was absolutely fantastic. Each stop was long enough to do side tours or activities with enough time to see each downtown area with gift shops and eateries before re-boarding the ship.
I felt the coach component was a little hectic with a couple of really early starts and a couple of long days on the coach, one which was a result of a road closure due to forest fires which was no fault of the tour company. I would like to mention that while all the hotels were comfortable, three of them were not air conditioned and as the temps in each area at the time were quite high it meant that the rooms were both hot and stuffy unless you had a good breeze and could open your windows which was not the case in all instances. We were upgraded in Jasper to a beautiful hotel, The Jasper Park Loge which is a Fairmont hotel but one of the three hotels that were not air-conditioned. This hotel was also out of town and required a shuttle bus to get back to town. I can only say that after a long day on a coach the last thing I wanted to do was get another bus so that I could visit the local area and eateries.
Unfortunately due to the forest fires at this time of year some areas were hazy and the full benefits of the views could not be fully appreciated but overall the scenery was still fantastic and I am really glad that I took this tour.

We chose this tour because it went right around the island of Ireland, including a visit to Northern Ireland. The scenery was spectacular and we were fortunate to have fine weather most of the time, with just light showers on a couple of days. Highlights included the Cliffs of Moher, the Dingle Peninsular and the Ring of Kerry. The Irish are a fun read more loving people, are very hospitable and it's easy to understand why they are so proud of their country.
The accommodation was of a high standard. We have travelled with Cosmos before and be aware, that to maintain a reasonable costing, accommodation is sometimes outside of the main city area. This fact often forces people to join the optional evening tours (which are sometimes expensive), as there may be otherwise few venues to dine at. When travelling, hotel location is not a problem, but on the last night, our hotel was situated a good forty-five minute drive from Dublin City and not on a direct path to the airport. We stayed at a different Dublin hotel on the first night and this hotel was directly on a route both to the city and to the airport.
Breakfast was included each morning, which is always a bonus and was a reasonable standard. We thoroughly recommend this trip for its variety and pace. Some roads around the Dingle Peninsular were quite narrow and high, but we cannot speak highly enough of the skill of our driver, Philip. Our guide, Liz, would have to be one of the best. The trip was excellent spoilt by a disappointing last night stay at a hotel where the bedroom was a joke, could hardly fit our suitcases in and we also could hardly move around. Everybody was complaining. Not good!!! Our guide and coach driver were excellent.

The whole experience was wonderful. From when we were greeted by our tour director Alma till we disembarked from the ship at the end of the cruise. Everything went smoothly, and we didn't have to think of what we would do next, because it would be explained by our Cosmos guide very clearly, and always answered our questions. Accommodation was very good. read more Extras were the best. Alma our guide was able to talk some hotels to supply continental breakfast, a bonus.
The ship Nieuw Amsterdam was a lovely ship, although we had an inside cabin, it didn't matter. There were plenty of vantage points, and decided to hire a cabana for the week (very much worth it). The ships decor was lovely. The food outstanding. All in all it was a brilliant time away, both land and ship tours. I would recommend it to anyone. Anything I saw not right, was minor.

I would gladly do this tour again. So many beautiful places in a short time. Stayed at the airport hotel in Amsterdam so you take the free shuttle to Amsterdam airport, then the train to central station (about €4). A very good easy pace tour, not too early starts which can be annoying when your on holidays.
The BIG downside was what all 46 travellers read more decided - the tour guide had never done this tour before and gave us NO info about Holland in any way, shape or form. She did however spend hours telling us we had to tip her €5 euros a day and she was very busy every night doing paper work for our group. She said that we had to write excellent on everything on the customer survey form as her job depended on it, and how she only got commission and not a wage from the company and so much other rubbish. Everyone was talking about this during the trip.
It’s a pity that a tour and country so amazing was spoilt by a hopeless tour guide. We had a guy from the USA who was there on a free trip because he was one of the top 10 sellers of Cosmos tours, and even he was amazed at the rubbish that came out of the tour guides mouth. As I said a wonderful tour, I just hope you don’t get this tour guide on your trip.

Had a wonderful time, in fact the time of our lives. Highly recommend. Mark Love, our tour guide was exceptional. Excellent local knowledge, exceptional interpersonal skill, the tour was conducted like a well oiled machine. We had a great tour group, and everyone on our tour had a great time. Beautiful country, excellent paced tour. Thanks also to Terry our bus driver.
This 12 day tour was a fantastic way to see the highlights of the southwest in a short space of time. Grand Canyon was a personal highlight for me. Unfortunately due to wildfires we couldn’t go to Yosemite but went to Sequoia National Park instead. Our tour guide, Craig was fantastic! He was knowledgeable of all our stops and kept us entertained the whole trip!

The highlights for me were visiting Santa's Village, The Midnight Sun & the Optional Geiranger Fiord Cruise. I also enjoyed the cities of Helsinki where I had 4 extra nights & Oslo where I enjoyed 2 extra nights at the end of the Tour. I thought Finland was quite boring until we crossed the Arctic Circle to Santa's Workshop, I was a big kid sitting read more on his lap for a photo!!! Overall the trip was great except for 4 Hotels for Single Supplements which seemed to be below Cosmos standards, I would class them 2 stars, all the other hotels were great. Thankyou Madeline for your great help with my bookings.
I had a wonderful time on the 13 day tour of Vancouver, the Rocky and Blackcomb Mountains with our tour guide Sharon Sawatzsky. The Canadians are blessed with such a beautiful and picturesque country. The mountain scenes are majestic, magnificent and marvellous. Also, the Canadians take such a pride in the country with the cities and towns, an abundance read more of floral displays in the form of gardens, and floral boxes and hanging baskets galore. The chain-saw sculptures were also something to admire too! The icing on the tour was the visit to the Butchart Gardens, Victoria. I really went for it and got almost everything covered in 1 1/2 hours as well as the gift shop, only realising later that I missed the Mediterranean Garden. But, never mind. I would go back there in a heartbeat.
There is only one minor criticism and that was an overload of commentary from the tour guide towards the finish. However, I understand that with that kind of 'everyman for himself tour', the bus is the only time she could get us together.
I was most impressed with the COSMOS tour. I went for almost everything on the additional excursions except for the trip to Grouse Mountain, which was cancelled for the 24th July, the Tree Trek Canopy Tour as there was a clash with the Zip Trek Bear Tour and the Peak2Peak Gondola Tour, which for me changed to the Gondola excursion up to the mountains as the Peak2Peak was out of order. I also did not do the Panoramic Seaplane Tour in Victoria as I was very busy with the Marine Wildlife tour and Whale Watching and the Harbour Boat Cruise in the evening as well as shopping for a new suitcase as the lock broke on mine early in the trip. All up I spent $1,480 on excursions.

Great guide and a great trip to get the vibe of all the big cities with support. The salt mine trip and the Auschwitz tour were eye opening. The guide was exceptional in solving issues with health and problems in the group. The boat trip on the Danube was an optional trip that was perfectly arranged and a beautiful highlight. The friendship within the read more group is a lifelong opportunity of cohesion. The accommodations we stayed in were of great and good allocation. The shared meals were fun together but some dinners were below expectation. Overall a great trip ready to try the next one.
The tour exceeded our expectations. It was very well planned and organised and the tour guide was excellent. Tamas had a great personality and good sense of humour which made the trip atmosphere very pleasant. The bus driver Givanni was very skilled and made us feel safe and comfortable in the narrow roads between Italy and Switzerland. The hotels were read more good and an excellent group to be with.
