Wonderful Tour across USA 11 Trans-American Adventure , WA, Australia, Jul 2018
A pleasant trip across USA from New York to Los Angeles, with a mix of cities, desert and national parks. Learnt about the history and culture of America through our tour guide who was very informative. However, the farewell dinner was a shame after such a long trip. There was no space in the restaurant and the food was disappointing. To make matters read more worse, the waiters were rude and disrespectful. It was not the best way to conclude our trip.
Irish Explorer   4 Irish Discovery , QLD, Australia, Jul 2018
This is a great tour if you want to see all of Ireland. Northern Ireland (Belfast) was particularly interesting due its the political history and our visit to Giant’s Causeway was quite spectacular. The rest of Ireland didn’t disappoint either - the beautiful town of Killarney, the Cliffs of Moher and kissing the Blarney Stone were just some of the read more enjoyable experiences on this tour. Kevin the tour director was extremely knowledgeable, and very witty which added to the overall enjoyment. The coach was extremely comfortable and included WiFi and individual USB ports for recharging phones etc on the go. However, there are some long stretches onboard the coach that can be a little tiring and tedious at times but that is part of touring I guess. Sean, the driver ensured a safe journey.

Most of the hotels were comfortable and centrally located although the final hotel was way out of Dublin which was most inconvenient for those transferring to the airport or back into Dublin. Some optional excursions were on the expensive side, so these need to be carefully considered. Thanks must go to Global Journeys in particular Jemma, for her efficient, thorough and speedy response to my booking request which was made as a last minute decision.
Great experience with wonderful scenery 3 Exploring America's National Parks , QLD, Australia, Jul 2018
This tour gave us a great experience of a number of national parks. The tour director and driver were great. Some days involved a bit of driving but that was expected. The scenery made up for the longer trips.
Cosmos - South Africa: From the Cape to Kruger   8 South Africa: from the Cape to Kruger , TAS, Australia, Jul 2018
This tour covers the history, culture, geography, culinary and wildlife diversity of South Africa. After a walking tour of the historical landmarks of Cape Town, we rode the Cable car to the top of Table Mountain for breathtaking views of the city. In the afternoon, there was a Peninsula tour which travelled through coastal towns to the Cape of Good read more Hope, the southwestern most part of the African continent.

The optional tours were on day 3 to Robben Island or wineries but we opted to take the Hop On Hop Off Bus (stop was around the corner from the hotel ), and visited the Kirstenbosch Gardens, World of Birds (also has animals) and the V & A Waterfront.

Along the Garden Route, attractions visited included a colony of African penguins at Stony Point, the limestone formations of the Cango Caves, an ostrich farm at Oudtshoorn and a chance to try ostrich meat for lunch and retail therapy in the shop, and oysters and champagne on a lagoon cruise in Knysna. Shakaland gave an insight into the lives of the Zulus and we enjoyed an energetic dance performance. The first game drive was in Hluhluwe-Imfolozi and a chance to see the wildlife. Many hippos sighted on the Lake St. Lucia Estuary cruise. In Swaziland, stops at the Swazi-Candle and Ngwenya Glass factories was a chance to buy some wonderfully crafted items and support local artisans.

Unfortunately, we were not advised that we would not be doing any safaris in the Kruger National Park, as stated in the itinerary, which was a great disappointment to everyone. Instead, we went to the Bongani Mountain Lodge, which had excellent accommodation in separate huts and BOMA dinner each night. We went on two morning and two evening safaris and saw three of the Big 5-rhinos, elephants & Cape buffalo, as well as giraffes, zebra, wildebeest and several species of antelope. No big cats sighted, which we would have seen in Kruger. During the drive along the Panoramic Route, we stopped to view the dramatic landscapes of the Blyde River Canyon, the Three Rondavels, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and Lisbon Falls. Last day was a drive back to Johannesburg via Pretoria.

This tour has a maximum of 20 people but as there were only 14 of us, our transport was a 19 seater minibus, which was uncomfortable, with things missing or broken inside. Not the deluxe motor coach, as stated in the brochure. Our two drivers were excellent though. Due to British Airways changing our flight to Durban to an earlier time, we did not go to the Tsitsikamma National Park. This was only the third tour, so Cosmos will hopefully take note of the feedback we all gave and improve some aspects of this new 2018 South African tour.

Our tour guide, Taki, was a sight to behold in his ‘lucky safari pants’, but a more experienced and humorous guide you couldn’t wish for. His commentary ranged from historical & social events, points of interest to his concern for rhino poaching, Always helpful, Taki went out of his way to add extra experiences for some or all of us. Everything was seamlessly organised by him, which made this tour enjoyable.

This may be a budget priced tour but you will experience many of the same places as the more expensive tours. Most of the hotels are very good and comfortable with lovely staff. There are no clocks in the rooms, so take a travel clock, and very few have a fridge but ice is available. Best time to go is in the Winter months as the animals are moving about or in Spring, when the wildflowers are blooming. We went in July and it was pleasantly warm. You will certainly get a good overview of South African on this trip.
Best operators provided for a fantastic trip   1 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , VIC, Australia, Jul 2018
Looked after like royalty on the Rocky Mountaineer and the service on board the Volendam was next to none. The Cosmos tour provided the best guide and driver and we stayed in some superb accommodation.
Wonderful tour of the Baltic States, Russia and other countries 4 , New Zealand, Jul 2018
What an amazing trip! We saw so much... every country had its own special highlights... never a dull day. Our tour director was excellent, so well organised and tuned into the groups needs. There were 44 altogether and we all got on so well, there seemed to be just the right mix of lunches/dinners together where we had opportunities to mix with the read more other tour members.

We were surprised to find the temperatures much higher than you would normally expect, but we all handled it well and our bus was always the correct comfortable temperature. Our bus driver was amazing... nothing was a problem for him and he had our bags inside our hotel in no time. All our hotel stays were convenient for us to do some exploration if we ever had some free time and our tour director was always in the lobby with maps and suggestions on how to best spend our time. It was simply an amazing trip... Thank you to all those involved in the planning of it.
Easy holiday in Pricey but Wonderful Destinations   8 , NSW, Australia, Jul 2018
The booking was easy and the Global Journeys consultant, Jemma, responsive to our questions, clear and helpful. The tour itinerary, Viking Explorer, was good. The Stalheim accommodation & included dinner was outstanding, and the Bergen and Oslo accommodation were handy to the centre of the cities. The Bergen accommodation also provided pushbikes free read more to ride around the cobblestone streets (which were relatively quiet compared with Amsterdam and Copenhagen). Some accommodation was out of town, but our tour director helped with how to get into/out of the centre of town or what to do nearby.

There was a good mix of included activities and most optional excursions were good value, except for the dinners, which were expensive and not very good. The Flam Rail and Fjord cruise were exceptional. We also enjoyed the walking tours. Our tour director was great at finding us WCs and added a wonderful stop in the seaside village of Fjallbacka. The porterage service was welcomed, as it saved us having to lug our bags up stairs. We usually travel independently, but found there was enough free time on this tour to satisfy us, and most others on the tour were likeminded.
Ontario & French Canada 1 Ontario & French Canada , NSW , Australia, Jul 2018
This tour is a perfect way to explore Canada. Our tour director Marisol was awesome, very knowledgeable, witty and well organised. History of places were well explained, we were given tips on where to go and eat, answered all our questions and were given enough time in attractions. Excellent driver Steve always ensuring our safety getting on and off read more the bus. Great optional tours. Hotels were in good location just walking distance to downtown. I just wish breakfast was included.

I booked this tour online with Global Journeys and Madeline handled everything and answered all my questions right away. She made my life easy organising this trip. This was my third tour with Cosmos and I'm quite happy with their services.
British Ireland Bus Tour 6 Grand Tour of Britain & Ireland , QLD, Australia, Jul 2018
Great trip to get a quick look at some places in England and Ireland. Some places I would have liked to stay longer, but it has given me a taste of what England and Ireland has to offer.
Canadian & Alaskan Masterpiece 1 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , NSW, Australia, Jul 2018
Great time of year to travel to Canada and Alaska! Weather was spectacular!! Loved the cruise especially timing it after the land travel as it was a bit more relaxing. Wasn't impressed with the tour guide. His knowledge of the Rocky Mountains was excellent but he seemed to lack organisation at times. Have been on other tours with another company and read more the tour guides there were excellent so it was disappointing to have this guide.
Canadian and Alaskan Masterpiece July 2018 5 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , New Zealand, Jul 2018
The highlights were the Rocky Mountaineer train, Lake Louise, the Columbia Icefield, and stopping at the little towns along the way. The cruise was magnificent. The weather was amazing and the accommodation was awesome although we thought the Sandman Hotel units were very small (but clean and tidy). Our tour leader tended to talk too much at times with read more some information overload but it was still nice to have someone on board who knew the area when we were travelling on land.

We would do the whole tour again without hesitation. The minor low lights were insignificant. We met some lovely people through the tour and have even exchanged email addresses. The land tour was go, go go. Bags out at 6.30am and on the bus by 7.30am. But for us this was all part of the excitement and there was plenty of time to cat nap on the coach. Being the first tour package we have done it was awesome.
Great price, better that even going directly with Cosmos!   4 , QLD, Australia, Jul 2018
The weather was perfect in July. Occasional light rain at night. Hotel rooms were occasionally small but nice bathrooms and very clean beds. Go up a level from Cosmos to Globus if you want better hotels. Easy transportation from all hotels to tourist sites or shopping. Comfort stops about every 120-150 minutes. Good walking pace with informative local guides.
Irish Explorer 1 Irish Discovery , NSW , Australia, Jul 2018
I recommend this trip for travelling to Ireland. It gives you a good overview of the country. The optional extras like the Guinness Brewery Tour were great. Our guide, Carmel, was fantastic. Her knowledge of Irish history was immense. Our fellow travellers were a fun group with lots of laughs. I would definitely recommend booking with Jemma Rosen and read more Global Journeys who made the whole process easy. This is the second time we have used Global Journeys, and will be back!!
Italy & Greece 1 , New Zealand, Jul 2018
Mixed feelings on the tour. Wasn't quite what we thought it would be. Great group of people, lots of laughs!
Some accommodation was a bit average and hotel staff not helpful. What was included was not that good at times but the pricey extras had to be done to make a town worthwhile.
Great Tour 4 Focus on Scandinavia , NSW, Australia, Jun 2018
One of the best holidays I have had. Booking with Global Journeys was not only the cheapest but they responded to any questions and it was a good booking process. The 12 day tour covered a lot but was excellent in terms of coverage, both cost and the three countries, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
Exceptional Experience 3 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , QLD, Australia, Jun 2018
The holiday was a wonderful experience. Thank you Hannah from Global Journeys for your usual attentive care with our holiday bookings including the extras you arranged for us. There is a reason we have come back to you over and over again - you handle all arrangements with professionalism and attention to detail.
Ontario & French Canada 4 Ontario & French Canada , QLD, Australia, Jun 2018
I would recommend tour groups between the ages of 35 - 50. This trip was good but due to the age of some, not everyone participated in the active activities therefore losing the group networking. The accommodation was in excellent locations however fridges would be more helpful.
Alaska and Yukon tour   11 Alaska & the Yukon with Alaska Cruise , VIC, Australia, Jun 2018
On our Alaska, Yukon, Canada trip we had the most amazing guide, Wade. I cannot speak more highly of him he made everything come alive and there was passion in the country we saw. We saw such a diversified lot of country and the culture of the land which was most interesting. Even though we had to buy most meals this was OK as we didn't overeat so that read more was a bonus considering we were going on a cruise for a week after the tour.

It was fast paced but we were given lots of breaks on the coach so no time for the joints to set and stiffen up. Our days were filled with places of interest especially the days of long travel it made you feel as though it wasn't just bus sitting but we saw things. Wade played a few documentaries which were applicable to each place and gave us the history of the area which made our visit to places more meaningful. Overall it was an awesome trip and I would recommend to any age to go on.
A relaxing and enjoyable holiday with a great tour guide and group of people   4 Canadian Train Odyssey , NT, Australia, Jun 2018
We loved the misty mountains and pristine crystal clear blue lakes, it snowed in summer so we had a cold couple of days in the mountain region. The train journey from Toronto helped us realise that Canada is big, with miles and miles of forests, rocks and lakes. We saw some wildlife and enjoyed the National Parks before ending the tour in Victoria and read more Vancouver. We had a great group of people and a lot of fun and camaraderie, and our tour guide and bus driver were excellent.
Seeing the best of France 4 Grand Tour of France , NSW, Australia, Jun 2018
We agree that it was a good time of the year to be doing our holiday as the weather was fine and very clear for the whole of our trip, this is a plus for getting max enjoyment. The organisation of the tour in regards to where we went and when was very good. The tour leader we had was very good and her knowledge of the country and all parts of the trip read more was outstanding. She tried hard to gel the 37 people from all places and countries around the globe.

The bus driver Angelo was outstanding, I salute him and rate him 15 out of 10. Accommodation was very good and we did not have any complaints and it was very appropriate for the requirements. Overall we saw a great deal of France and in a lot of circumstances it was very inspiring and gratifying to be able to see and witness some of the places and monuments in France. We would thoroughly recommend this trip to others as a way of seeing a lot of what France has to offer.
