We really loved the tour and it achieved everything it boasted. The pace was busy but we knew it would be. Highlights were all the major capitals - Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Amsterdam. Our Tour Director was excellent. She really knew her business, was very helpful and gave us many interesting history lessons. We felt that Cosmos was a good company read more and very professional. The hotels were okay; some of the locations were ordinary as they were a bit out of town but in these instances we were usually dropped off for a few hours and then picked up to be taken back to the hotel. Our holiday covered all of September and we could not have wished for better weather. Our fellow passengers were a mixed bunch and apart from the odd one, everyone got along very well.
This trip encompassed a small taste of the French province of Canada leaving you wanting more, which I think was a good thing. We were not rushed as we spent two nights at each hotel, the hotels and locations were very good allowing plenty of time to explore each city, and basically, that's how the trip went, we had lots of our own time to seek out read more what inspired us to come to this region of Canada. The trip itself bought you to the Hotel and you could do as you wished. There was little by way of group involvement other than the Niagra falls tour, and with no meals preorganised as part of the trip, most often you were pointed in the direction of some good restaurants and set free. Although this would suit some travellers, being part of a tour group it gave little time to socialize and mingle with other group members. The three optional activities in the last two days where organized meals were set, and we could sit and get to know each other, which was great. Though I felt this was at the wrong end of the trip, we should have had at least one night of a group dinner to socialize at the beginning of the trip, their allowing us to bond. Aside from the days on the bus (where most people slept) interaction within the group fell a little short for me.
For me, the trip was most enjoyable and it will certainly entice me back to this region of Canada to experience more.

We finished this tour last Sunday and it was really up there in enjoyable experiences. I had really only gone along for the ride as my husband wanted to do it but to my surprise I enjoyed it as much. A word of warning though is that it is very hectic, having to be on the coach ready for the road by 8am most mornings and not getting to our hotels sometimes read more as late as 6pm. The majority of nights are single stays so the double nights were much appreciated. Of course not all of Route 66 still exists and it is sad to see the towns that are dying or have died when the interstates opened up. Lots of towns have pulled out all the stops to encourage the tourists to visit and the murals are truly amazing. John our guide and Craig our driver (both very good) and the group of passengers melded well. I would do the trip again in a heartbeat, even with all the on and offs the coach each day. If you want to do then don’t wait, book it.
Great trip, great value, all went well thanks to an amazing tour guide Julian. Very busy tour, not for people who have difficulty walking. We had the usual whingers but they didn’t spoil the trip, well done Cosmos.

Yvonne was so helpful and prompt in sending us information and documents. She made sure that everything was in order before we left. Our Cosmos tour with the Rocky Mountaineer was a delight and well organised. Our tour director Annette and driver were very knowledgeable and helpful. Our cruise on Holland America was just restful and wonderful to end read more the 19 day tour. The accommodation on the tour was excellent and very convenient to access food and meals. A very memorable trip and will look forward to future travels with Cosmos and will not hesitate recommending them to our friends.

Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise

We had a wonderful trip beginning with the Rocky Mountaineer. The local guide with Cosmos was very organised and helpful and made the trip run smoothly. We were lucky we had a group on our tour of mostly Australians in the same stage of life that all got on very well together. Of course the scenery was stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip.
It was a very good trip. I suppose my negative would be that people like myself who paid the single supplement fee didn’t get any priority as far as hotel rooms were concerned, for example one lady on the trip who hadn’t paid the single supplement was lucky enough on two occasions to get a much better room than those (namely two of us) who had paid read more the extra. This was frustrating to see, so I do think Cosmos should look into that. Apart from that it was a great trip, but the food was only just adequate.
(GJ. Hi Eileen. Paying a single supplement guarantees you your own room. If you choose not pay it, then Cosmos will try their best to match you up with another traveller. Occasionally there aren't any other solo travellers, and so you get a room for yourself without paying extra! More often than not however, that isn't the case. This is the same policy as all Operators we are aware of. Hope that helps.)

This was our 4th tour with Cosmos and we were not disappointed. Very organised tour guide. Pace was quite slow allowing plenty of time to do your own thing. Cruise was good but being a smaller boat the activities on board were not as good as previous cruises. In saying that the smaller boat was able to dock at every port when another larger boat missed read more the port of Juneau due to size and weather. Our tour did not include the Rocky Mountaineer and we felt we saw as much including a bear beside the road.
I have travelled many times over the years with Cosmos & always found their tours to be excellent value for money, well planned & professionally executed. This tour was no exception & I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful opportunity to visit a very special part of Italy. The tour guide, Flora, was excellent in every way.

My wife and I recently did the Focus on Scandinavia tour with Cosmos. From the moment we arrived in Copenhagen until our tour end in Stockholm, everything was perfect. The tour bus was comfortable and the hotel locations were mainly excellent. Our tour director Iris made the trip so enjoyable and stress free for everyone. Our highlight was the cruise read more on the Sonjefjord. Just stunning. Thanks to Yvonne at Global Journeys for such brilliant organisation of our tour.

The Canadian Rockies with Alaska Cruise

We were first timers for booking a tour so we didn't know what to expect! What can we say, besides it was a fantastic way to spend 3 wonderful weeks in 2 countries. From the booking of the tour with Jemma who made it so effortless to a great tour guide named Brad we couldn't have asked for more. We made great friends on both the bus and cruise and got read more to see so many different things. The bus driver was always accommodating and made sure we stopped and saw any interesting things along the route. We always had a laugh and were part of a great group however there was plenty of time to do your own thing on those free days. This is certainly a time I will cherish amongst my fondest memories. Thank you to everyone involved!!
Great time. The guide was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. The hotel choices were excellent. The places we went to see were beautiful. Will definitely book our next trip with Yvonne Brookes from Global Journeys.

Good value, would use Global Journeys again. We liked to commentary in the coach throughout the English countryside. The highlights were the optional tour of Windsor Castle, the amazing Edinburgh Tattoo and the Cotswolds. (Ed. This trip changed slightly in 2019, so this review is based on the previous longer itinerary)
The Cosmos 11 day Norwegian Fjord tour was good value, considering how expensive Norway is. The pace was easy with several stops each day to get off the bus. All the hotels except for one, were very good with beautiful breakfasts and 4 included dinners. The tour comprised people from Australia, New Zealand, England and the United States. Our tour guide, read more Ausra, was very organised and gave us useful and helpful information for each town we stayed in. We visited all the major sights and the itinerary was flexible enough to accommodate the weather when necessary. This was our 4th Cosmos tour and we would certainly consider using them again.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Cosmos Norwegian Fjords tour that we took in August 2018. Norway has beautiful landscapes and lovely fjords, but food prices are much more expensive than in Australia. We were happy with the excellent service from the tour director and very capable driver. I think this tour is good value for money, the hotels read more are mostly 3* but Cosmos booked us for one night in a 4* hotel in Geiranger (Hotel Union). The included dinners offered a great selection, either buffet-style or three-course meals. The group was a mix of mostly middle-age and above, with some younger ones, and they came from UK, USA, Australia, and Thailand. Thank you Georgie for organising our holiday, for your attention to detail and friendly reminders, it made our preparation easier before departing for the tour.
Highlights were the national parks, all four of them. I was surprised at how nice the city of Chicago was. Mall of America was a shoppers paradise. Accommodation was good and nice and clean, especially in Chicago with the big bed. It was hot in Las Vegas and I saw Human Nature, the best show I saw in Las Vegas.
We met up with our tour guide Sue and driver Keith (who had worked together before) in Vancouver. Sue's knowledge and Keith's very good driving skills and knowledge of the area we were travelling made our 13 day tour exceptional. The other guests on our trip were all in good spirits and we all got along, mostly due to the way Sue and Keith interacted. read more The accommodation was great for a lower costing trip, the inclusions were good and we learnt so much about Canada and the Rockies. I would recommend this Cosmos trip to anyone wanting a good all round experience. Breakfast was not included, to keep costs down. My only suggestion to Cosmos would be to add an additional charge for breakfast if one desired. Some of the driving days made it a very early start to get outside to purchase breakfast.

This tour is good if you want to see a lot of Britain in a short period of time, so be prepared for many hours on the bus and quite short stops. The coach was modern and comfortable, and both the driver and our guide were very friendly. The accommodation was also very good throughout the whole trip. It is quite expensive though, and you could do the read more same trip (using public transport) for a lot less money - specially as a couple sharing the hotel cost. But if you like the social bit with group travel and the knowledge provided by the guide it's worth it!
We thoroughly enjoyed our bus tour to Central Europe with Cosmos. We have travelled with Cosmos many times now and always find them good value. We get to see the most interesting and popular tourist attractions in a very organised way. Accommodation was of a high standard although not always in the centre of the city. This meant on occasions we made read more our own way on public transport which we quite enjoy. Our tour guide Sandra was very knowledgeable, likeable and totally organised. The bus driver was professional and very skilled. We would highly recommend Hannah at Global Journeys for the efficient way she handled our booking.
