Arrive in Edinburgh, the historic capital of Scotland, where rocky hills, towers in the distance, and the shadows of history can be seen around every corner. With no scheduled sightseeing today in consideration of varied arrival times, take some time to discover Scotland's capital for yourself and see how medieval crossroads blend seamlessly with a vibrant modern energy.

This evening, join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner. (D) Stay: Apex Grassmarket (2 Nights)

Start the day with a panoramic and walking tour of old and new Edinburgh, exploring Georgian architecture, writers and monuments, alleyways and hidden passages, and the dark and mysterious side of the city. Then, walk up the Royal Mile to enter Edinburgh Castle, home to the Scottish Crown Jewels.

After a guided tour of the castle grounds, enjoy time to explore the city as you wish. Later this evening, take your seats at the spectacular, world-famous event, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. (B)

Say goodbye to the rolling hills of Scotland while traveling south on a local passenger train to York.

After you arrive, join a walk to get familiar with York's streets before taking some free time to enjoy lunch on your own. After an afternoon visit to the magnificent York Minster, the rest of the day is yours to explore independently.

Then take a scenic drive to the picturesque town of Llangollen. Stand on the bridge to watch the fast-flowing waters beneath and take in the hustle and bustle of this charming, popular town. (B)

Step back in time on a journey through the English countryside to Stratford-upon-Avon — the Bard's birthplace. Join for a walk through the town's busy streets and then sit down to a traditional English afternoon tea. Tour the childhood home of William Shakespeare, and take time to explore this historic market town on your own. (B/L) Stay: Hotel Indigo

Bid farewell to Stratford and travel to the esteemed capital - London. Upon arriving in the bustling Covent Garden area, take some time to have lunch on your own. Then, join a local guide for a three-hour walking tour, taking in the iconic landmarks of Westminster from the outside, including Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, and Buckingham Palace.

Explore one of Britain’s most visited historic buildings, its precincts, and the State Apartments, which house a delightful collection of Royal art treasures. Enjoy time for lunch in the quaint town of Windsor before heading back to London.   • On arrival you will be greeted with a glass of our own award-winning sparkling wine followed by a talk led by Chris, the vineyard owner, who will show you the vines, explain how they are grown, then will move into the winery where he shows the equipment and explains how the different wines are made. Returning to the winehouse/marquee where your evening meal will be served, there will be opportunity to taste 3 award-winning Latimer - white, rose and red - wines during the course of the evening with Chris explaining them to you.
