Firstly I have always used Global Journeys in Noosa for my tour bookings and really love using this company. I have travelled with Trafalgar four times previously and had a wonderful time. Sadly they couldn't accommodate my request as a solo traveler. So I went with Globus, which was a completely different experience. Globus is supposed to be a step read more up from Trafalgar, yet I found no difference in the standard of accommodation or the coach. There were more evening meals included but that was paid for in the increased cost of the tour.
Globus appears to provide a different service to Americans than other nations. We the 'non- Americans' - noticed that the American tourists were all carrying wheeled carry-on luggage. These bags were loaded on and off by the driver. I had phoned Globus Australia to be told very firmly there were to be no wheeled carry-on luggage, with all other 'non- Americans' stating the same ruling. Struggling through airports and ongoing travel with a handbag and shoulder bag was extremely difficult.
Norway was a beautiful country, and the pace of the tour was fine. Although the guide kept quoting all costs in American Dollars or Euro; Norwegian the currency is Krone. It became rather frustrating to be converting from Euro/AUD. The accommodation was clean, though the rooms were extremely small, they did provide some spectacular views! The coach was very full, more so than the Trafalgar tours with seat rotation a time for aggression. Quite upsetting at times. Now that I am home and reviewing the photos, I can appreciate what an awe-inspiring country Norway really is. I wish the tour guide had been able to generate more interest and enthusiasm in the history and culture of Norway. Absolutely include Norway on your tour list. But my opinion is as a 'non-American' not with Globus. Tusen Takk!!

This journey was dream like. I couldn't have asked for better weather, nor a better tour director and driver...and my travel mates were amazing! We got to be great friends by the end of the tour. I cannot say anything negative about this gorgeous and breathtaking tour.

Globus tours are no where near as good as Insight Vacations. Very few meals included but Whistler was the best stop we had. Rocky Mountaineer Gold leaf train trip was a total waste of money, service was horrible, Glass roof was dirty and scratched, meals were ok but once back in the sitting cabin your lucky to get a drink.

Amazing trip with Globus on safari to Kenya & Tanzania. Both tour guides were very efficient & organised. Drivers were good. We were the only Australians. Other guests were Canadians & Americans. Found a tour group of 20 might be a bit too large to be called a "small group tour" Would suggest max 12-16 people. Definitely need to do this at least once read more in a lifetime as it is absolutely mind blowing how close you get to the animals

Great Canadian Rail Journey with Alaska Cruise

I found this trip advertised on an app on my phone. 21 day great Canadian rail journey with Alaska cruise. I contacted Global Journeys and talked to Georgie Walpole who organised the total holiday for my wife and I and what a holiday it turned out to be. Highlights were Niagara Falls, the CN Tower meal at the rotating restaurant, train from Toronto read more across to Jasper. The food on the train was top quality with local produce as we crossed the country. Our Globus tour guide has been guiding this particular tour for over 10 years and had a lot of knowledge that she gave us. From Jasper to Victoria Vancouver island we travelled on a bus. We only had 25 on the tour so we all became friends. Like a small family.
Butchart garden's was a highlight on Vancouver island. What a magnificent garden. A must. Our final part of the tour was the inside passage on Holland America Line. The ship was great. The restaraunts and entertainment were great. We were lucky enough to see whales breaching. Seals and sea otters. I could go on and on but I recommend that if you get a chance to see Canada this is the perfect tour to take. Thank you Globus.

Our 12 day Globus tour of the Canadian Rockies was excellent! Our Tour Guide (Shelley) and driver (Doug) were real professionals! Rocky Mountaineer and Lake Louise absolute highlights! Fairmont hotels particularly Chateau Lake Louise and Banff Springs Hotel were wonderful!
The good comments are of the scenery, castles, old cities and some very nice and entertaining fellow passengers. Laszlo our driver was exceptional with his skills ,safety and baggage handling. Anna our hostess left a lot to be desired. Her lack of commentary except for her written script was very noticeable compared with some other trips we have been read more on. In fact when we were seated near her and Laszlo we could hear him prodding her to mention and point out various things. She would get annoyed with him in response. Quite often her commentary when approaching a city was too late and we would be pulling up before she had finished. She quite often changed her mind about meeting up times and localities at the last moment and some people had already wandered off. Overall I regard Anna as lazy and this was little more than an all expenses paid shopping trip for her. Accommodation was very good overall except NH Hotel at Niederrad. When we arrived 2 days prior there was no porter, no lift operating and we were on the 3rd floor and no dining room open.
While planning my holiday overseas with Georgie from Global Journeys we had a 12 day gap between two tours and I was asked if my wife and I would like to go to Greece for a tour. I jumped at the chance. The tour started in Athens Greece for 3 night's in a great area. Close to shops and restaurants. Easy to walk around. We had the opportunity to visit read more all the popular tourist attractions that you thought you would never see in real life. We were given a tour guide for the duration of the trip. She was one of the best guides we have had. She made us feel safe and secure and made us feel special. We travelled to Mykonos and Santorini 3 night on each island in five star accommodation. My favourite part was the lost city of Atlantis. Mind blowing. This was a trip to remember.
Besides the weather, it was a superb great time. We had the best tour guide you can have. Rosanne was reading and telling lots of local histories about the area Clans were just passing through. She had the great sense of humor and story telling. Really enjoyed the whole trip.
Well put together trip with Globus. Basics like food and accommodation were excellent. The tour guides and drivers were so knowledgeable and went one step further every day. Never hesitated to reward them at journeys end. As for the trip itself - at the end of a long exciting day what could possibly surpass that? Another hassle-free booking with Jemma at Global Journeys for the Globus The Sicilian small departure tour. We had 22 in our group that all interacted well and our tour director Nives and Dario were outstanding, often dropping suitcases at our hotel while we were doing a nearby guided local tour. The pace was excellent, just enough time to explore read more each location...but not dragging on too long ...highlights were a market street food lunch, Mazara del Vallo walking tour, optional Palazzo visit in Palermo, Savoca, Ragusa, and Giardini Naxos. Our hotels were beyond our expectations as were the included meals. It targeted all the places I wanted to see and more.
This was my 3rd tour that I've booked with Georgie at Global Journeys (and first Globus tour). There were 35 people on this tour including 6 solo travellers of which I was 1. Very professional and informative Tour Director Kaeleigh and safe driver Alistair. Some hotel rooms I had a single bed in a small room. Outside of Glasgow and Edinburgh the hotels read more were of a basic standard. However, clean rooms and hot showers. Breakfasts not nearly as good as those in Europe on my 2 Cosmos tours. Lots of included 3 course dinners of varying quality. The islands were my highlight: Orkney, Skye, Mull and Iona. We visited quite a few castles and did see a few Highland cows! Weather in Scotland was cold, wet, sunny, really 4 seasons in 1 day - you learnt to be prepared for all weather!

Hannah Campbell from Global journeys was an excellent communicator. The information provided was clear and concise, the email responses prompt. The entire experience was smooth and worry free. The tour was fantastic. The Canadian Globus tour guide, ue Landry, was fantastic. The Holland America cruise was amazing. We would definitely recommend read more this tour for those who love to see beautiful scenery, eat delicious food and enjoy someone else guiding the way!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Great Britain & Ireland tour. What an amazing experience with a lot packed into the tour as expected after studying the Itinerary & information provided. Booking the trip online through Tracey at Global Journeys was absolutely hassle free and highly professional with all expectations met "highly recommended". Our Globus tour read more and guide were well organized and very professional. However, at the start there was not a meet and greet organized for the group and as such it took a couple of days for the group to gell and the same with the last night dinner, The group had to organize our own, very poor cost cutting on Globus's behalf! Mostly the accommodation was at a good quality standard but needs to be updated in some locations. The fellow travellers comradeship on our tour was excellent with ALL getting along fabulously.

A well organised and worry free trip. Thank you to Georgie for your assistance with all booking details. The Globus guides where extremely knowledgeable and well organised and provided assistance when needed. The itinerary was perfect for our interests and hotels used by the tour were excellent. The 7 day Aegean cruise on Celestyal worked well, read more although the islands at this time of year have too many ships visiting the ports of Santorini and Mykonos, hence overcrowding was of concern. Celestyal were able to stay in some ports longer than the bigger ships which proved to be a bonus as after they had departed the towns went back to being pleasant to walk around. Would highly recommend this trip.

This was an amazing trip with a wonderful knowledgeable guide and outstanding driver. The itinerary was excellent and we saw and large amount of Iceland in the eight days. The highlights for me were seeing so many amazing waterfalls and as a bird lover the puffins were just delightful especially seeing them so close. The tour included whale watching read more and we did see a whale. The icebergs on the lake were also a must see. Iceland is an amazingly beautiful country that I would recommend a visit, but bring a down jacket, even in summer.

We just finished what was a wonderful holiday. Canada and Alaska were absolutely spectacular and the trip was made all the more enjoyable by the great organisation of Global Journeys. Everything occurred as planned without hassle. Hotels were first class and the sights visited magnificent. The Rocky Mountaineer, inside passage cruise combination read more is one not to be missed. The small tour party also made for a more personal and enjoyable experience. Rachael at Global Journeys was terrific in arranging everything just as we wanted and our Tour Director Mark went above and beyond to look after us and ensure we had a unforgettable experience. We strongly recommend Globus and look forward to our next holiday arranged through them.

The holiday was fantastic, especially the Rocky Mountaineer trip and the tour bus. The guide was so professional and helpful at all times. Accommodation was outstanding. The Inside passage cruise was very good except that our room stunk of sewage from day one despite the efforts of cabin crew spraying toilet spray every morning and night, Also the dining read more room needs a shake up. Meals were cold due to them being pushed out of the kitchen and left on tables before being served. Also they tried to overcharge me $94US for drinks.
Had an amazing trip touring California. It was very full on but we saw and did so much. We could never have organized this on our own. Loved everywhere that we visited but highlights were Yosemite and the Hearst Castle. Also, lucky enough to see a bear, whale and dolphins. Accommodations were excellent at all stops as were breakfasts and tour dinners. read more Coach was very comfortable.
Our guide, Craig was bursting with information and knew so much about California past and present. No question was left unanswered. He was so likeable and had a great sense of humour. Loved his choices of music too. Markus, the driver was also very lovely and our safety was his priority at all times.They would detour to make sure we didn't miss anything. No complaints from us and would definitely recommend.
