Wonderful tour of Britain & Ireland 0 Britain & Ireland in Depth , VIC, Australia, Jul 2025
This tour was booked with Hannah Campbell (Senior Travel Consultant) at Global Journeys around April 2024. The tour at that stage was a 'planned departure', however, Hannah kept monitoring the tour & was very quick to inform us once the tour converted to a 'definite departure'. This allowed us to book our airfares. Hannah also kept us abreast with any read more minor tour changes & provided us with all the documentation for the tour, including all the 'optionals' & their prices, about 5 weeks before the tour commenced. The level of customer service was par excellence & is why we are return travellers to various tours facilitated by Global Journeys. All potential travellers to all parts of the world, please do not hesitate to contact Hannah Campbell at Global Journeys for a well-priced quote incorporating all available discounts, followed by superior customer service.
Excellent trip of Germany 0 German Highlights , NSW, Australia, Jun 2025
The coach trip was excellent, our guide Andrei was excellent with an incredible knowledge. The Hotels were of a high standard. The included meals were all excellent. A reasonable amount of walking involved (ie. coach drop point- walking an old town-return to coach pick up over cobble stones).
Amazing 0 Classical Greece , NJ, United States, Jun 2025
Ethan was excellent, he was able to make my dream vacation come true. From hotels to meals and flights they took care of everything.
Portugal in depth   0 Portugal in Depth , TAS, Australia, Jun 2025
Wonderful experience with the very professional Globus staff. We travelled to so many places, entered into buildings that I would perhaps not have given a second look at to discover beautiful gardens and architecture. We even back in time to working townships from the 10th century .I would not been able to have covered the breadth of Portugal nor learnt read more so much history as I did with the Global staff. I met many fellow travellers who said they only do Globus tours, I am now a convert to bus trips!
Sensational Tour Guide 0 Scottish Highlands & Islands , NSW, Australia, May 2025
Just returned from a wonderful Globus trip to the Scottish Highlands and Islands. Without doubt, the best tour guide I have ever experienced. Roseanne was a walking fact book, her knowledge of history was outstanding and every day was filled with great humour and professional presentations. Simply superb. Tour pace was very steady, hotels in the main read more were a good standard as was food. Our driver, Wayne was excellent. The only disappointment was the size of the group which had 28 people which seemed large for a small group tour.
Wonderful 0 The Classic Lodges & Parks of the West , VIC, Australia, May 2025
Great trip. Brilliant guide and driver - nothing was too much for them. Great scenery and evntd. Hotels wonderful. Was sooooo much fun. Thank you.
Beautiful Palaces, Vistas and Music   1 The Best of Austria & Switzerland , NSW, Australia, May 2025
Our thanks to Rachael from Global Journeys who did a fabulous job and paved the way, to help us effortlessly join Globus the Best of Austria and Switzerland Tour. We had been to Austria and Switzerland before and were so impressed, we wanted to see more. The highlight this time was spending more time in the spectacular mountains - going up the Matterhorn, read more Mount Pilatus and Hitler’s Eagle Nest. We really enjoyed this tour but found the Local Experts, although they were fabulously knowledgeable, they ended up being an information overload and quite draining. Also, some places had more time allotted than was required, by our group. Both were subjective of course. All in all, an amazing experience.
Scottish Fling 0 Scottish Highland Fling , VIC, Australia, May 2025
The weather gods were with us for our amazing 10 day tour of Northern Scotland, from our starting city of Edinburgh to our end point in Glasgow. New to us was a visit to Orkney, Mull and Skye, which we enjoyed immensely, particularly our visits to ancient Nordic and Viking sites. Our tour group of 38 people consisted of a mix of American, Canadian read more and Australian folk, so the conversation between cultures was both lively and interesting. Yes, there were minor comments about our many accommodation stays at times...but hey!... these buildings are over 200 years old, and it is a bit ridiculous to expect modern plumbing, modern lifts (where would you put them??) and level floors in rooms. This is the experience of 'travel'. Our rooms were always extremely clean and beds generally comfortable. The included breakfasts were well catered for with a wide variety of choices (toast is a bit of a 'miss'), and the included lunch and dinner options were generally very good.

The pace of our tour was good...some early starts to accommodate time schedules of the providers we were working with, and most of our arrival times at our next destination were about 4pm, which gave travellers time for a rest before dinner. We could not find fault with our wonderful tour guide, Dawn, who right from the moment she introduced herself to our group, was extremely well organised and totally on top of our schedule including posted notices with details of the next day itinerary where we could find it. Dawn was excellent providing us during our bus time, with an amazing overview of the next place we were visiting. Including the historical facts and folklore stories, weaving a wonderful tapestry of what we were seeing and its' importance in the lives of the people and and their culture through time. Dawns commentary was extremely well researched, consistent and at times, quite humerus! She was our 'mother hen' and we all felt safe and cared for during our tour. Thankyou Dawn! Our coach driver, Mark did a remarkable job driving us around for 10 days, quite often on difficult roads and in difficult weather and traffic conditions...including helping us down those high bus steps, and unloading our luggage. Thanks Mark! Overall, we both had a comprehensive tour of Scotland, and we felt that the company provided a very good value for money experience.
Sensational Sicily 0 The Sicilian , ACT, Australia, Oct 2024
A late review addition, we meant to do this a while ago and just forgot! We had originally intended to do this tour in Sept 2020....and only got to do it in Sept 2024 - damn you, covid...! Remarkably, this ended up being the identical tour, with the same departure date! This was an amazing tour, one we had wanted to do for a very long time. Tour guide read more Gigi, and driver Pietro were fantastic from the moment we arrived. Gigi did an amazing job looking to accommodate so many different needs across the tour, and Pietro was brilliant and professional in getting us to each destination safely and on time.
Highlights were everywhere, with Palermo, Taormina and Erice the standouts. Highly recommended.
Portugal in Depth 1 Portugal in Depth , QLD, Australia, Sep 2024
A comprehensive tour with a very knowledgeable guide in Pedro. The whole itinerary was enjoyable. Whilst so many, the cathedrals and castles were stunning and scenery breathtaking. A highlight for me was Porto - it has been my screensaver for several years! A trip not for the faint hearted with cobbled tile pavements and at times challenging steps into read more buildings. Accommodation in Lisbon at the Hilton felt like a prison, stark black corridors on each floor with room numbers impressed into the carpet at the door. Globus we arrived early and you offered transfers airport to city for A$80 pp each way! The airport was less than 10 kms away and organized transport could be booked for A$40 a car each way - not nice. The group of over 40 was a good one - everyone mixed and proved good company. (GJ. Organised transfers offered by the operator will always be more expensive than local transport options which is why, if tour clients are confident travellers, we recommend catching an Uber or taxis in most cases. However, some clients prefer the safety and knowledge that everything is pre-planned and pre-paid before they arrive.)
Enchanting Canyonlands with Globus 0 Enchanting Canyonlands , NSW, Australia, Sep 2024
The scenery was sectacular and our guide was erudite, informative and catered to our interests. The itinerary was well organised, accommodation in varied and interesting locations, very good standard. An excellent trip I would highly recommend to travellers wanting to learn about how nature sculpts our landscape and how fauna, flora and people adapt. read more I would recommend Globus consider alternate accomodation in Las Vegas, Treasure Island is rather tired.
Spectacular Alaska with Alaska Cruise 0 Spectacular Alaska! with Alaska Cruise , Victoria, Australia, Sep 2024
Land portion of the trip was awesome as were our guide Wade and our driver Maurice. The cruise part was also great and we were treated exceptionally well.
Touring Around Alaska by coach and cruising from Whittier to Vancouver 0 Spectacular Alaska! with Alaska Cruise , Victoria, Australia, Sep 2024
Firstly the coach tour was sensational with many thanks to our exceptional tour guide Wade and our coach driver Maurice. Wade provided a great insight into Alaska past and present and was very knowledgable and very well organised as well as being a friend. Maurice's driving kept everyone so calm and he to had the coach very clean and was always there read more for us if we needed and answer or guidance. The places we saw visited and the things we saw were truly amazing and Wade's suggestion to fly by light plane around Mt Denali was one highlight for us as were the Glaciers, wildlife, accommodation and people. The boat cruise with Holland America Nieuw Amsterdam was relatively smooth sailing and everything was catered for onboard. The towns and places we visited were interesting including the glaciers again and the wildlife, scenery, entertainment, food, drinks.
Our Long Awaited Alaska Trip Did Not Disappoint   0 Spectacular Alaska! , Christchurch, New Zealand, Jul 2024
Globus truly gave us The Spectacular Alaska Experience. Our tour director, Todd and driver, were friendly and accommodating. Both were knowledgeable providing information and history on the areas as we traveled in the motor coach. The accommodations were comfortable, and it was good having on site dining options, as on some evenings we got to our rooms read more quite late. Not that you realised as it was still light through to 11pm at least! The arranged excursions were all great and gave us the experiences we were after.

Our viewing of wildlife was not as frequent as we had hoped. It is just luck being in the right place at the right time. We did see Moose, Caribou, sealions and sea otters. (Take your binoculars). Our highlight was on the last day on a cruise into the Kenai Fjord where we witnessed a group of humpback whales bubble feeding on a shoal of fish. Truly amazing. If considering this tour, or any trip to Alaska, their sunny days are rare with most days cloudy and/or wet. This can mean the mountains are not visible at times and you need more warmer clothes than true summer ones.
An Amazing Holiday   0 Spain, Portugal & Morocco , VIC, Australia, Jul 2024
It was an enjoyable, interesting and a hectic tour. We enjoyed very minute of it and look forward to joining Globus again soon. Julian our tour director was an wonderful guy from Madrid, he was very helpful along with all the other local guides. Mohammad, local guide in Morocco gave us a lot of inside information on the culture, history, how the read more country operates etc. but he was a kickback king, wherever he took us, he made sure he was rewarded.

We enjoyed all the places we visited, specially Rick's cafe in Casablanca. Fez and Tangier was my favorite cities. The venue and the evening show was enjoyable, although I was looking forward to Moroccan cuisines but in general they were very bland. The seafood meals that we had in Lisbon and Costa de Sol were excellent. The optional dinners and shows we saw just average compared to the cost, except in Fez. You need a lot of patience to put up with Moroccan Music. We made up for it by some lovely music in Portugal and Spain, especially when our Tour Director sang and danced along with us. The Farewell dinner in Madrid was memorable, but the dinner was average.
A superb part of France   0 Paris, Normandy & Chateaux Country , SA, Australia, Jun 2024
The highlights of the tour included Mont St Michel, the magnificent Loire valley castles of Chenonceau and Chambord, Monet's garden, although very crowded, the farewell Seine river cruise dinner, the Normandy landing beaches and Versailles. Globus provided high level accommodation, and I would like to travel with them again in 2025. The tour missed read more out on extreme weather, and even though we were there in late June, did not wear shorts on any day. However, most venues were crowded. Hannah and Global Journeys were efficient, as before, in organising all land travel.
American Serengeti   2 The Classic Lodges & Parks of the West , NSW , Australia, Jun 2024
Thank you Rachel for getting this booking in motion. Even though we had 41 passengers, everyone was prompt on the coach. As national park accommodation is often booked out years in advance, this was the best way to stay at some of the classic lodges with so much history and character, at prices we could never afford if we were travelling independently. read more The locations were near hiking trails or walking distance to town. Rustic Inn at Jackson was remarkable.

The buffalo safari allowed us to get especially close to wildlife and the vastness of Badlands National Park was hauntingly beautiful. And we saw so much wildlife including bear, coyote, bison, elk, sheep, deer, etc. Being located at Yellowstone for 2 days, at various parts of the park, allowed us to explore most of the points of interest. I felt the lunch stop in Montana and driving via Idaho to Salt Lake City were surprise add-ons as well. I felt the Beartooth Highway from Cody into the Yellowstone area was one of the most scenic drives I have every done. All in all, it was a wonderful trip that surpassed our expectations, creating new friendships and new memories, and wondering why I had not discovered this region years earlier.
Majestic Rockies with Globus 1 Majestic Rockies , QLD, Australia, Jun 2024
Enjoyed thoroughly our small group Globus trip from Vancouver to Calgary. The accommodation was of a higher standard than expected. The scenery was spectacular. There was a good balance between activities and free time. Tour guide “Gem” was extremely informative and helpful in arranging extra activities. We chose to pay a little extra to have the small read more group which meant less time getting on and off bus. Tracey was very helpful in co-ordinating our two trips ( Alaska & Canada) and all our flight-bookings.
Spectacular Canadian Rockies Tour   1 Grand Western Canada Vacation , QLD, Australia, Jun 2024
The Grand Western Canada Vacation my wife and I experienced was a small group departure of 21 travelers. This was an ideal group size as it allowed everyone to move around to the spare coach seats and capture that scenic photo of the spectacular scenery whilst the coach was moving along.

Shelley our tour guide was very experienced and gave excellent read more commentary on the sights were visited. She provided a great selection of music by Canadian singers on the coach during the long driving sections. Our coach driver Neil was a very safe driver and at no stage did we feel unsafe.

The accommodation was a mix of 5 and 4 star hotels providing great room facilities and excellent breakfast choices.
The 4 dinner restaurants chosen by Globus were excellent. Especially the backup restaurant at Jasper when the hotel restaurant we were booked in for had lost power due to powerlines being damaged in the strong winds. The first dinner restaurant was in Kelowna at King Taps. Wow what a meal. The food provided was a mixed selection from the menu supplied in a family meal format for the 3 tables. Quality and quantity was excellent.

The tour started on the 10 June 2024 and finished on 22 Jun. This was an ideal time to travel as Lake Louise and other lakes such as Maligne Lake had all melted.

The Globus itinerary and the optional excursions provided a great scenic tour of the Canadian Rockies, Whistler and Victoria and Vancouver. This tour is very highly recommended for mature aged travelers who wish to go on a fully escorted small group tour.
Picturesque Croatia with lots of hHistory to boot. 2 The Croatian , VIC, Australia, May 2024
Another well organised, informative tour by Globus with an attentive and thoroughly prepared tour director. This smaller group of 21 all got on well and no hold-ups or dramas to interrupt the planned itinerary. Such a spectacularly scenic country with such a complicated history with many relics of its past still standing. Local people were friendly read more and helpful although the popularity of Croatia as a tourist destination is becoming difficult for them to manage the numbers. Overall a great trip.
