To make things even sweeter, continue to Broc and visit the Maison Cailler Swiss chocolate factory for a tasting. (B/L/D) 90 mi / 145 km.

TOUR HIGHLIGHT - CITY SIGHTS: BärenPark (Bear Park) is home to Pyrenean brown bears (after which the town is named). The first records of bears being kept in the city date back to 1513 when soldiers brought live bears home as spoils of war. Fast forward to the modern day as the inhumane bear pit of the 16th century has evolved into a 6,000 square-meter natural habitat alongside the Aar River.

Bridging History

Stop to admire the Lion Monument, a moving rock relief that Mark Twain called the “saddest sculpture in the world,” and the 14th century Chapel Bridge that crosses the River Reuss from the Altstadt (old town). TOUR HIGHLIGHT - CITY SIGHTS: See the symbol of Lucerne at the famous Kapellbrücke (Chapel Bridge), the oldest wooden covered bridge in Europe. Hotels are good, the food is... well Swiss. All in all, a great introduction to this amazing place.
9 Day Spectacular Switzerland 2 , QLD, Australia, Jul 2018
The tour was varied and interesting. We enjoyed the different excursions and modes of travel. One thing that was disappointing was the Swiss dinner, we were jammed in like sardines. It was a very good tour.
Wonderful scenery 1 , NSW, Australia, Aug 2017
On this coach tour with Globus we only had 20 people. Had a great time. Zurich to Geneva is completely different from Geneva to Zurich. I actually went to see the later scenery and the Alps and I was not disappointed. Magic! Thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip. Passengers were great and Valeria (tour director) was a wealth of knowledge. She was read more on the ball and went our of her way to make sure everyone was catered for . We had an excellent driver. Itinerary faultless.
Great trip in Switzerland   1 , WA, Australia, May 2017
Switzerland was a great trip. The tour director, a Erik, and driver Franko were wonderful to all the guests. They were polite and friendly. All the hotels were not great especially when compared with this in Asia and Turkey. Tour guides used during the tour were very knowledgeable.

The Scandinavian tour was also very good and I recommend it to read more future travellers. A suggestion is that a night and day us spent in Gothenburg as it is so beautiful but we did not have an opportunity to see the city. Again the tour director, Chris, and driver pieto, were good, friendly, courteous and helpful.
