We were only able to complete 5 days out of the 24 days on our European Heritage tour as we had to fly home urgently due to a family bereavement. However , the time we spent on the tour was wonderful and we enjoyed every aspect. We intend booking the same tour next year to finish what we started. We had a mixed group from an 11 year to 85 year olds and all got along well. The hotels were a mix, did not like the Ibix in Bardeau at all, Switzerland location was beautiful. Few of them did not have tea making or small fridge facility. Tour guides available in each country so that was a great help, it was tiring as very face paced but stress free as everything was taken care of from check in to check out. The tour is good if you want to see a lot in short time, but if you want a relaxed holiday better to do a leisure one covering only 2-3 countries. Overall liked the holidays, beautiful place a must visit at leisure.

There was a lot to see on this tour and the pace at times was extremely hectic. The quality of accommodation ranged dramatically. Some was excellent and some was atrocious. The hotel Costsaver used outside of Venice was very bad and in no way was it a 4 star hotel. The inclusions on this tour were nowhere near as good as the UK Cosmos tour we did. ...read more To actually get real value from this tour you have to do most of the optional excursions. This added significantly to the cost of this tour. It cost us an extra $2,400 Euros to add value to our trip. By the time you add this cost to the initial cost you would be better looking at a high cost tour with more included.

Our tour guide, Aaron, was good and knew his stuff. We met many lovely people on this tour and saw a lot, once we had added in optional excursions. Many of the days had long distances to travel, quite often between 500 and 690km. On some days there were things to see and do or excursions to do after 6-7 hours travelling. In many cases travellers were already tired and to have to then do optional tours or included stuff took the edge off the experience. The two night stopovers were a bonus as they allowed for a bit of a breather. If you want to see a lot of Europe, this is a good trip. If we were to be able to travel to Europe again in the future, this trip will allow us to choose where we would like to go and spend more time.

We have had an amazing time exploring Europe. Starting from day 1 we were impressed, our tour director Javier knew so much about every country and took us to many extra hidden treasures that we would not of known about otherwise. We would also book future holidays with Global Journeys, we used Yvonne and she did the "leg" work and kept us informed. Looking forward to our next trip already.

The trip was really great , we had a wonderful time and we had a great lot of people to enjoy this trip with . The only place we thought that we could have not gone to was Madrid . Overall it was a good tour showing the the highlights of Europe. The extra excursions was a bit expensive , many of them due to the cost of unlimited drinks for dinner. The cost of drink should have been paid separately by the users or at least only one drink to be included and any extra should be covered by the individuals themselves, which would have ...read more been fairer. Instead some had to pay for the cost of unlimited drink of others. The seating in the coach was not good for us. We were allocated seats behind seat a young and very noisy group, and the coach was full so we could not move.

Most hotels were excellent, however many of the locations were located in outlying areas. An example of this was Venice where the hotel was about 40km from Venice. This severely restricted our time in Venice. Breakfasts were all outstanding in both quality and quantity. Tour Manager (Barry) was extremely helpful, organised and we all benefited from ...read more his many years of travel experience. A small hiccup occurred at the commencement of the tour in London. We were advised by Trafalgar to arrive at 5.30am, which meant use of Night Buses. However we were required to just sit around for an hour without refreshments (too early for the hotel breakfast) until the coach and tour guide arrived. The tour departure time and location were not easy to obtain from the Trafalgar Desk at Heathrow Airport. Eventually, after a longish wait and a telephone call, we were advised the time and location. It would have been better if we could have been advised this before we arrived in London. Service by Tour Consultant was very good and we not only will have no hesitation in using Global Journeys again, and will recommend you to our friends.
