The driver, Eric, excellent, very experienced and had done this trip a few times before, he dodged traffic jams, provided cold water & was brilliant. The guide Doris was good. We asked her to provide more information before the stop, rather than after, but she didn't. Still she was sweet, she got sick but carried on well. Probably would have like to read more spend two nights in each stop, but then I guess there are flow on effects from that, like cost. Only thought was by the time we got back to LA, everyone needed to do washing which was difficult at a very posh LA hotel, or anywhere downtown. Another hotel, another area might have been better. Hey, this is the only criticism I can make. Our mob was brilliant and have made some life long friends, thank you.
Were just a little disappointed at how our tour ended leaving us stranded on an optional tour at Universal Studios having to find our own way home. This was something we were not aware of until the end of the trip and left us a little amazed. The goodbye was so sudden...and we felt that an optional tour should still get us back to our hotel as we thought read more that it was part of our tour.
Thank you, and we can definitely recommend Global Journeys!

Trans-American Adventure

We met in NY then did 23 days across to LA via Cody Yellowstone etc. My husband was especially apprehensive about the coach, other passengers, and the content. However, we were delighted with a coach that was 4 months old and Eric our driver cleaned and polished everything on the coach every day. Doris was OK as a guide and the other passengers were read more excellent. We have life long friends. We loved America, the places we went to with the tour. Some of the optional extras we wouldn't do again especially the fake Mississippi river cruise boat and very average meal. Plan to do another tour with Global Journeys if ever we can afford it, the Spain Morocco Portugal is top of my list! Thank you, and we can definitely recommend you!
My Aunt and I travelled through Greece and the Islands cruise with Cosmos. We had a wonderful time. I have travelled with Cosmos and Globus before and am looking at a Globus Asian tour for this year.
Hotels were all very good and the food was excellent

From Dublin to London
Sandy Lewis, Australia, Jul 2012
We really enjoyed the tour we only wish it could have been longer and we could have seen more - a bit less rain would have been appreciated as well. The tour director and the drivers were very good and the tour director gave us a very good, comprehensive history of the areas we visited. We certainly wouldn't have appreciated half the things we saw if read more we hadn't had some idea of them being there and their significance. The hotels were all very good and the food was excellent - dinner had a choice of three entrees, main courses and desserts each night and the breakfasts were all buffet style with an excellent choice of full cooked breakfast, cereals, fruit etc. We did all the extra tours and the only one we felt wasn't as good as expected was the Guinness tour in Dublin - this could be because neither of us enjoy drinking beer or Guinness anyway but we also found the talk too hard to hear - the headsets weren't the best. I have been on 2 or 3 Cosmos/Globus tours previously and always enjoyed them and this was no exception. I would thoroughly recommend this sort of tour to anyone who wants to see a lot in a limited time. Thanks for your help in arranging the whole trip, your helpfulness and patience was very much appreciated.
Excellent tour with informative guide and entertaining driver. Although accommodation was average, for the excellent price of the tour you should not expect much better. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
Guide and the driver were exceptional 1
Prianta Kariawasam, Australia, Jun 2012
Very good tour. Guide and the driver were exceptional. Very good mixture of included and optional tours. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in seeing Europe.
With 23 days on a tour bus we didn't know how we would enjoy it, but to our delight we loved every minute of it and we weren't ready for it to end. It was a perfect blend of cities and beautiful national parks. Even the amount of organised activites and free time worked extremely well. The tour guide made even the smallest thing exciting and was very read more well organised. She handled the challenges that occasionally presented themselves in a very professional way and her knowledge of the places we were visiting was excellent, right down to the perfect movie on the bus relating to the area we had just visited. We had a great bunch of fellow travelers from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and England, some of whom we are still in touch with and with ages from 20s to 70s it was a lot of fun.
No complaints whatsoever! 1
Dorothy Phelan, Australia, Jun 2012
OMG, Where do i begin? Magnificent tour, amazing places, excellent tour guide and driver and no complaints whatsoever! Best way to savour a beginner's taste of Europe and see so much of it with ease, in comfort and with so many experiences and sights included. Nice small tour group made it a unique experience which was enhanced so much by the expertise, read more knowledge and enthusiasm of our tour director. Learnt so much history, saw so much wondrous art, architecture, lifestyle and culture and did not want it to ever end. Am planning my next trip and look forward to seeing more of this amazing world we live in!
Tour really depends on your tour director 2
Heather Freeman, Australia, Jun 2012
I had the opportunity to go on three Cosmos tours and one Trafalgar, this one being the first. The tour really depends on your tour director. Unfortunately our tour director, was not the best but she was also not the worst. The tour was very fast paced, which I suppose is the way that you see everything, the tour had been sold to quite a few elderly read more persons who found it very difficult, when things went wrong on the tour, which of course they did, you were pretty much on your own, as the tour director was not what you would call a people person.
Time in Helsinki was excellent 1
Murray Bryce, Australia, Jun 2012
The tour was very good in general, though we found the southern part of Finland uninteresting. There were no stops to allow us to explore the areas. The time in Helsinki was excellent. The Norwegian segment of the trip was excellent.
It was GO,GO, GO all the time

Europe's Highlights
Maureen & Tony Lambert, Australia, Jun 2012
The tour 'European Highlights' certainly lived up to its name, we saw heaps! It did not cover anything in depth in regard to the cultures we visited. It was very hectic and a bit tiring we travelled over 5000 kilometers (coach travel) in 14 days and it was GO,GO, GO all the time. A bit draining for us at 70+ and slightly unfit. The sights we saw were read more quite magnificent and gave direct insight into what we may like to look at later in much more depth. The tour director and coach driver were quite good and tried hard to do a good job. We however were taken aback by Globus recommendations for gratuities (completely alien to our culture and experience). Felt that we should not have to contribute so significantly to their paid employment. All in all very enjoyable and we will probably go again.
The Magic of the Italian Lakes coach tour was very good. Wonderful scenery and very nice accommodation. Tour guide was a bit difficult to understand at times, but his knowledge of the area was excellent and he was very helpful to all on the tour. I and many others thought the optional tour for a light lunch at Monte Tomaro was over priced @ Euro 50pp. read more I would also prefer Tour Director and Driver tips to be included in price. (Ed. These can be included, if requested at the time of booking).
Fantastic tour excellent tour guide called Karen, we had so much fun saw some amazing things and learnt heaps. The accommodation was good and the cruise fantastic. The Alaskan countryside was lovely and Denali National Park was absolutely awesome.

The tour went beyond my expectations.
Experience was excellent and value for money

Grand Tour of France
Robert & Chris Desmond, Australia, Jun 2012
The experience was excellent and value for money and we thoroughly enjoyed the trip and well organised by our consultant Georgie. Our tour guide and coach drivers were very good, worked hard and best of all retained a sense of humour. If I had an adverse comment it would be that due to the itinerary and what has to be achieved by the tour directors read more for the tour program is that they also need to identify & consider the capabilities of the people on the tour, and the timeframes set for venues and for sightseeing. The pace was to fast for us for what we have previously leisurely done overseas, and most tiring for some other participants who were in their 80's due to their age. Being first time on conducted tours, personally we would look in future at tours where there are 2, 3 or 4 day stopovers so and there is more time to spend in locations to take in the scenery, galleries and architecture. I would also consider 1 or 2 days at the venue prior to the tour commence to refresh from long flights. The meals and accommodation were quite good but would have liked more time after the bus trip to refresh for provided evening meals (usally 1 hour or less from arrival to eating time). The morning breakfast was extremely good with 2 exceptions which I suggested to Globus that they should establish a policy with hotels for an established breakfast menu to remain consistent to take pressure of tour directors who do a great job and work hard. The scenery and architecture is brilliant. Dudonge, French Alps, Neice & Monaco are brilliant, Villages & Chateaus as you drive into them spectacular. If you want a fast pace and see a great insight into France I would recommend this trip. France is just picturesque.
Great trip. Lovely staff, very helpful and didn't mind that I wanted to change a few things to suit myself. Will definitely look into future trips. Thanks.
Flights with Royal Brunei OK but some maintenance problems such as videos not working, footrest not staying upright. Borneo airport not good place to be for any length of time. Check-in at London Airport was a shambles with a 1.5 hour wait in queue. Airport transfers were good. Hotels mostly good with some 'remote locations'. No A/C which would be problem read more in warmer weather. If all optionals taken (most included meals) the extra cost would be 733 pounds or $1,200. Included dinners good (some very good) except two where food and service left more than a bit to be desired. Most 'known' places included in tour which can be a bit boring especially in the first 10 days or so. Essential pre and post tour accommodation should be included in tour (as it is for US participants). Tour guide was a wealth of information, both historic and local.
We had a great time till Mum got ill and we had to leave the tour, but the service & help we received from your company was over and above what was expected.
We were never disappointed 2
Glenn Fitzpatrick, Australia, Jun 2012
We had great expectations of this tour and were never disappointed. It was almost as though our tour operator had planned a special event at each of our stops, just fantastic. Our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of both Spain and Portugal which made the otherwise uneventful bus travel very interesting. The coach driver read more was good and ensured that the ride was comfortable.
