Can highly recommend this tour 1 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , Australia, Jun 2013
We found this tour very professional and well organised. The hotel accommodation was great and the tour director we had was extremely well versed on Candanian history. Can highly recommend this tour.
The royal palaces of Denmark were amazing 1 Focus on Scandinavia , Australia, Jun 2013
This was a fun tour. Our tour guide Arne and driver Thomas were fantastic and really added to our experience of Scandinavia with their commentary and humour. Nothing was a trouble to either of them. The hotels were good but rooms were very stuffy and air con was not adjustable. Included buffet meals were very good with lots of choice. We weren't really read more prepared for the high costs e.g. $12 for a beer in Norway! However we really enjoyed each day and were surprised how much we managed to experience in each place. Norway has stunning scenery with mountains, lakes, fjords and snow a photographer's paradise! The royal palaces of Denmark were amazing. We are glad we had a couple of days before the start of the tour to explore Copenhagen as there is so much to see. We are sorry we had not added extra time in Stockholm to see more of that beautiful city. The many lovely harbour cities stand out as does the quaint Straand Hotel at Vradal, just magic with misty views over a lake. Our thanks to Georgie at Global Journeys for her efficient booking of our trip.
The rocky mountaineer experience was superb 1 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , Australia, Jun 2013
We had a wonderful time, although we had no expectations, we could not fault anything in regards to organization or standard of accommodation or the balance of the trip. We had plenty of time to sightsee at our stops and the pace of the trip was for us very easy. The rocky mountaineer experience was superb, the countryside amazing and the cruise at read more the end just the best note to finish on. We had to amend our itinerary and spend two extra nights in Banff due to the floods in Alberta, instead of proceeding to Lake Louise and then Jasper, so we missed out on some of the highlights of the trip but as nature deals its own hand there was nothing that could be done about it. Indeed if it had not been for the calm professional and practical decisions made by our tour guide Serena we could very well have found ourselves stranded in very uncomfortable circumstances. We have nothing but admiration for the way in which she managed what was a very stressful situation in such a responsible manner. Serena was a great tour guide and always tried to make sure we got the best experience possible no matter where we were or what we were doing. We enjoyed the company of all our fellow travelers as well as the opportunity to spend time exploring on our own. We would most certainly use Global journeys again to organize a tour. Georgie, our consultant took all the stress out of organizing for us, she was very helpful with our questions and requests and it was very easy just to be able to email when you needed to, knowing you would get a prompt reply to your questions. All details were taken care of and we received regular updates of how our booking was progressing . We have told many friends of the great service we received from Global Journeys and have recommended you to them!
Trip was value for money and can't wait to plan the next 1 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , Australia, Jun 2013
Excellent trip, my only comment was that our coach was full and another coach ran on the tour too - too many people slowed the trip and it became frustrating at times. We were unfortunate to have been caught in floods and missed a few sights and activities however Cosmos and the Tour Guide did a great job sorting ths out, which was difficult due to read more large number of us. Michelle and Frances from Global Journeys were great. I felt the trip was value for money and can't wait to plan the next one.
It was so well organized and easy, we had a blast 2 Western Wonders , Australia, Jun 2013
This was the first organized bus holiday my husband and myself had been on and will be booking another Cosmos tour next year to the east coast . It was so well organized and easy, the places we visited were so interesting and the people on the bus were so much fun.
Some coach seating was an issue 2 Irish Discovery , Australia, Jun 2013
Guide and driver were very good and 7 out of 8 hotels were excellent, my only complaint was that one of the seats 2 forward from the rear of the coach was incorrectly adjusted which did not leave anyone using the seat enough leg room, however the rear seat behind the troublesome seat had so much legroom it was like business class. Using seat rotation read more many passenger of above average height were not happy. It was merely a case of the coach company not getting the seat spaces right. Just for info the taxi cost from Dublin airport to first hotel is approx. 18 Euro's and from City center approx. $20
The tour had the right pace 1 Eastern US & Canada Grand Vacation , Australia, Jun 2013
I guess it will always be a struggle to get the right balance between tour pace and and spending enough time at a place to enjoy the experience. For the most part, our view is that the tour got it right. However, with regards to Quebec, they could do better. The hotel was too far out from the city centre.
Good value for money. Great accommodation 2 Trans-American Adventure , Australia, Jun 2013
Very well organised. Great tour director. Heaps to see and mostly in reasonable time. Good value for money. Great accommodation. Comfortable coach and long days on the road not overly boring or unbearable. Plenty of comfort stops. Couldn't fault anything. Would definitely do this tour again, would love to see Yellowstone in Winter. Was amazing seeing read more the National Parks, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Bryce Canyon, Mt Zion, loved the atmosphere at 'Grand Canyon' did optional helicopter tour to floor of Canyon (just amazing!), Badlands, Jackson, Cedar City, Niagara Falls (experienced 'Maid of the Mist'). Henry Ford Museum is something else! Las Vegas is good fun and I will return. Farewell dinner at Santa Monica Pier was enjoyable even though it was sad saying farewell to fellow travellers at end of tour, but have wonderful memories! Will definitely choose Global Journeys & Cosmos again soon.
Covered all the prime sights 1 The Best of Britain & Ireland , Australia, Jun 2013
Very well organised. Covered lots of places, certainly all the prime sights. Hotels were mostly good.
One of the easiest stress free tour bookings we have made 2 Western Wonders , Australia, Jun 2013
We enjoyed this particular tour as it was not fast paced which gave us time to take in the wonderful sights of this tour and not feel rushed, overall the hotels and their locations were great, the coach staff were very polite and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Booking through Global Journeys online was one of the easiest stress free tour bookings we have made.
Thankyou Cosmos! 1 From Dublin to London , Australia, Jun 2013
Great way to see heaps of sites without the stress of driving there yourself or finding accommodation.
I had a very enjoyable time 2 The British Isles in Depth , Australia, Jun 2013
I enjoyed the tour and appreciate there are limitations on time and also Cosmos can't keep all the people happy all the time. Overall though I had a very good holiday. I am reluctant to complain but there a few minor things that I wasn't entirely happy with. Firstly being a single person it was dissappointing that there was only 2 other single people read more on this trip of my age group (I am 51) with a tour group number of 43. Apparently this is not unsual with Cosmos. The people I toured with were all lovely people but I may have enjoyed myself more with more people of a similar age group. A few of the hotels were placed on the outskirts of towns which was incovenient. Also we seemed to stay at some unsual places and drive straight past what I thought looked like more interesting places to visit. The tour director was a very polite and humourous man. However I think we could have been given much more appropriate and relavant info on each location we visited. It seemed to be totally up to us to find out all the points on interest on where we stopped. Overall as I said before I had a very enjoyable time. In hindsight this was a good trip to do to help you gauge what you might like to see in depth at a later date and what you may decide to give a miss.
Great new Itinerary! 2 , Australia, Jun 2013
In some ways, some places were even more dramatic & varied than the Grand Canyon (in my humble opinion) e.g. Grand Escalante, Dead Horse Point, Black Canyon of the Gunnison etc. All very different! And I can now cross Monument Valley off my Bucket List after a great 4WD tour through there. One suggestion, perhaps shorten the lunch breaks (sometimes read more 1.75 hours) and stop where possible for 2 minutes to allow scenic photo shots from within the motorcoach i.e. without alighting. Also an optional group dinner on the last evening might be a nice way to end a fabulous tour? Our tour director, Lynn Barber was very hard-working and pleasant, even when her own home was threatened by the Colorado bushfires. And Greg was a happy soul and a very safe driver.
This new Cosmos tour is a winner 4 , Australia, Jun 2013
This new Cosmos tour, Circle the American West, is a winner as it travels through many of Americas great National Parks and Monuments with time to enjoy these various parks. Hotels are of excellent quality and with the exception of Page Hotel and that was only because it was too far out of town and not close to food outlets. Only went on three of the read more optional tours but the best one that is not mentioned on the internet optional tours list was the best and that was the Split Canyon at Page. Cosmos classes this as a semi relax type of tour when it is not. We only had a few hours on our own at Moab and one is on the go from 8am to often 6pm. In other words this tour is fairly hectic. I wish Cosmos would agree to giving people name tags as it is nearly impossible to remember 35 new faces. Tour Director and coach driver were the best and made this trip a worthy one to remember. My thanks to Global Journeys for their information and quick reply to any queries we had before booking the tour with them. I have and would strongly recommend this company to any other prospective people who use the internet to book tours. I particularly like your visa information page giving the correct internet address for the various visas tourists might have to get.
An excellent trip across a big country 1 Trans-American Adventure , Australia, Jun 2013
This was our first trip with such a large group, but we found it very good after settling in with our fellow travellers, mostly Australian. We had a brilliant tour director in Russ Marcason, a retired teacher from Chicago, complemented by an equally brilliant driver, David Krug. They contributed to our overall enjoyment and provided us with much education read more as well as a lot of fun. The accommodation was better than expected at all stopovers, except Cody where the otherwise adequate and comfortable cabins were a bit smelly. One irritant was the space between the seats on the coach, which were not comfortable for long-legged travellers. A coach with a centre door would have been convenient, too. But, overall, an excellent trip across a big country.
We would certainly consider Cosmos again 2 Trans-American Adventure , Australia, Jun 2013
Overall we have no complaints. Some very long days travelling, we sometimes felt they were just filling in time before we got to our accommodation for the night. Some days it would have been nice to get to our accommodation say about 4:00pm for time to relax before having to find somewhere to eat. Also some locations we would have like the full day read more to enjoy where we where. Chicago and Niagara falls. The National Parks were great. Would have be better in we stayed right in the park at Yellowstone in cabins. We felt that the hotel in LA (Sportsmen's Lodge) was too far out, the people on the desk were not very forthcoming with what to see and how to get about, although it was nice to have to pool to relax after 23 days on the go. Overall the accommodation was what we expected for a low cost tour. We would certainly consider Cosmos again.
The highlights were the beautiful National Parks 1 Trans-American Adventure , Australia, Jun 2013
A very good tour, plenty to see and do. A couple of days were tiring due to the long distances covered, but this was to be expected. The tour director and the driver were also very good, both very communicative, friendly and helpful. The highlights for myself and my wife were the beautiful National Parks. We did also enjoy Chicago and the smaller cities. read more I could not fault the accommodation and the hotel staff were pleasant to deal with. All in all a good trip.
Dubrovnik is mind-blowing, the real WOW factor! 1 Scenic Slovenia & Croatia , Australia, Jun 2013
We had a great time on this tour. The tour guide was very good and we felt safe with our driver. Some of the hotels were better than others- Tirena Hotel at Dubrovnik was excellent as was the M Hotel at Ljubljana. Most included meals were reasonable with excellent buffet breakfasts at many hotels. The optional excursions were enjoyable, particularly read more the fun evening at a Slovenian restaurant. Dubrovnik is mind-blowing, the real WOW factor! The Dalmatian coastal scenery is spectacular. We feel the tour would be greatly improved by the addition of a couple of extra days to include Lake Bled area. We hired a car to see this and also Kranjska Gora and to drive the Vrsic Pass. These spectacular parts of Slovenia should not be missed, stunning scenery! Also, the tour passes really close to Predjama Castle which we had to visit on our own. Thanks to Georgie at Global Journeys who was very helpful with our booking.
Great tour in every way and value for money 1 Trans-American Adventure , Australia, Jun 2013
Great tour in every way from itinerary to guide and driver. A bit rushed in places ie. Washington which deserved a longer stay, but still value for money.
Enjoyed every single day during the trip 1 , Australia, Jun 2013
I enjoyed every single day during the trip. No complaint on tour bus, bus driver and the tour director as the bus is new and clean and they are doing a good job.
