I wished I had known that I could have prepaid the gratuities 1 , Australia, May 2013
The pace was very fast, but that was expected. All accommodation exceeded expectations. My only advice would be to avoid any optional excursions which include meals. The price for these would lead you to believe you would be in for a 'fine dining ' experience, but this is not the case. Also the wine served on these occassions is not drinkable. This read more is my only real criticism. It really was good value otherwise. I would also strongly advise that anyone travelling alone should pay the extra and have their own room. Money well spent. I wished I had known that I could have prepaid the gratuities. Perhaps the option was given to me and I missed it. Great holiday!!
Best tour guide so far! 1 England, Scotland & Wales , Australia, May 2013
Angela our Tour Guide was great. Better than any other Cosmos guide I have had previously.
I am certain that our entire group enjoyed all aspects of this tour 2 Trans-American Adventure , Australia, May 2013
A really great tour! Covered plenty in the 23 days from NY to LA. Hotels were better than expected, and motorcoach was first class, although, with 56 seats, there was not much leg-room. We were very fortunate with our tour director, Jason Capalongo, who, although only 34, was highly experienced, knew plenty, and really enjoyed his job. He added so read more many little extras to help us to enjoy the experience. (Of my 6 previous Cosmos tours, he was easily the best Tour Director). Our Coach Captain, Jeff Weeden, was also very obliging despite badly injuring his foot in a fall early in the tour. I am certain that all of our party of 15 persons really enjoyed all aspects of this tour, although, on a personal note, one night in Vegas would have been enough for me.
Thankyou Cosmos! 2 Southern Charms & Florida , Australia, May 2013
Excellent tour. We did all the activities I was interested in. As well as free time to explore on your own. Tour guide was brilliant.
Wouldn't travel any other way 1 Trans-American Adventure , Australia, May 2013
We had a fantastic holiday with Cosmos. Trans-American New York to Los Angeles. We would highly recommend Cosmos. It was the second trip we have done with them and wouldn't travel any other way. Our Tour Director, Jason was very professional, accommodation very clean and comfortable and a very trustworthy coach driver.
Cosmos was the best tour company so far 2 Southern Charms & Florida , Australia, May 2013
We loved the price, the tour director, the hotels and the scenery. What more could you ask for. I would travel Cosmos anytime and I have travelled with all the elite tour companies. This one was the best so far.
Cosmos did a great job 1 Highlights of Germany , Australia, May 2013
We were more than happy with the hotels and sightseeing and thought it was all great value for money. Our guide Orsi was very knowledgable and a real asset to Cosmos. We found the tour a little tiring - maybe that's our age. Less time on the bus would have been preferable as there was often no time to rest and change after arriving at our hotel, before read more going out to dinner. Saying that we saw and experienced so much and on the whole the trip was very well planned. Had such a good time that we won't hesitate in booking another Cosmos tour soon. Would have brought a travel kettle if we had known that many Europe hotels don't provide tea and coffee making facilities. Maybe this could be added to the pre tour info. Global Journeys were excellent. Thank you to Georgie for always replying to our emails very promptly with all the information we needed. We will definitely book through Global Journeys next time and won't hesitate to recommend them to all our friends and family. (Ed: Review based on slightly different itinerary. Tour Director and bus driver were excellent 2 Italy's Best , Australia, May 2013
Tour Director and bus driver were excellent, accommodation for the most part was very good, content of the tour was good but felt that at times extra excursions should have been included in the total cost of the tour because there was no option but to do the excursion.
Very pleased with the itinerary, guide and driver 2 Grand Tour of France , Australia, May 2013
Very pleased with the itinerary, the guide and the driver. Did not like the Ibis at Aivignon because they only one staff member in the dining room, crowded reception, no check on who was entering the dining room which led to the theft of a handbag and a camera.
This was my first organised tour and it was great 2 Treasures of the Balkans & Transylvania , Australia, May 2013
This was my first organised tour; I did not have any preconceived ideas about the tour and I when I completed my feedback for the Tour Director I didn't have anything to compare the tour with, however after my second tour (Egypt) I can say that the tour of Turkey was great. The tour guide Errol was fantastic, he provided us with so information about read more Turkey and the places we visited. The bus was clean and comfortable (it was only a few weeks old). The hotel room hotel room in Canakkle at the Tusan was dated, but clean the included evening meal made up for it - it was great. Every other hotel was great. Everywhere we visited was different and interesting and I was pleasantly surprised by everything I saw. We had extra time in Istanbul before and after the tour and I'm glad we did as there was so much to see in Istanbul. Maybe you should add a bit more time to this city? The only complaint - I was expecting more options for lunches, we didn't want to eat buffet lunches each day of simular type foods. We packed picnic type food and found places to eat away from the group. By the end of the tour about half of the bus was doing the same so perhaps that is something to consider?
Cosmos provided a good value package 1 Highlights of Germany , Australia, May 2013
Well paced with three-night stays in key cities, good quality coach and driver. Tour Director Anita was very good and included tours were of a high standard. Some of the optional tours were not as good, particularly where the meals were poor. The exception to this was the night cruise and dinner in Budapest which was very good, however the Czech Dinner, read more the Hungarian Night and Evening in the Vienna Woods were very ordinary. Accommodation was a good standard for a low-cost package and overall Cosmos provided a good value package, as they had on our previous tour with them. I have recommended Cosmos to friends who have booked tours based on our experience. I have also recommended Global Journeys to many people based on the quality of service and value provided. Thank you Yvonne, hope to contact you in 2014 for another Europe package! (Ed: Review based on slightly different itinerary. Trip name and itinerary updated this season)
Trip was great even though demanding 1 , Australia, May 2013
Wonderful tour guide, Truus, great driver, Fabio. Trip was great even though demanding. The accommodation and included meals were great but the extra excursions were very expensive and limited your free time. Less excursions and more inclusions would be better. Some of the commercial visits seemed like an excuse to sell to us and further ate into your read more free time. That said the tour allowed us to see a lot in a short time and we covered a lot of territory and managed to see most of the highlights of Europe as per the brochure.
Very happy with the service 2 , Australia, May 2013
Tour guide was excellent and obviously very experienced. Locations were great fun although it would have been nicer to spend more time in some regions. Hotels were far away from the main city centre which is understandable considering it is a budget tour, however, it would have been nicer for Cosmos to organise transfers into and out of the city centre read more for those that would like to see more, as taxi's can get expensive. There was lots of time spent in the coach, however, considering the regions we were seeing in the time frame that is to be expected. Frances from Global Journeys organised my tour for me and she was brilliant. Very happy with the service. All in all, I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone considering it. I had a brilliant time and made lots of new friends as well.
The scenery was diverse and spectacular 2 Exploring America's National Parks , Australia, May 2013
Excellent tour. The scenery was diverse and spectacular. Hotels were all comfortable and generally the location was good. Our Tour Director and driver were both very good and always ready to help and advise.
Loved it so much we are going to do something similar to Europe 1 Trans-American Adventure , Australia, May 2013
Oh My God. We got home on June 1 and have not stopped talking about our trip. It was fantastic and with all the talk to our friends I would not be surprised if you get enquiries as they were all enthralled with our stories. We couldn't believe how organised the whole thing was. We just did not have to think which is what you want on a holiday. We were read more both very apprehensive as we haven't really been overseas before but need not have been because everything about the trip from the hotels to the Tour Director (Matt) to the bus driver (Rocky) to the bus, to our fellow travellers to the sights... I could just go on and on ... everything made us feel safe, excited and comfortable. Loved it so much we are going to do something similar to Europe! Thank you!
I have recommended this trip to friends 1 , Australia, May 2013
All About Europe tour (previously named European Masterpiece) - basic cheap price but to go on 3/4's of the optional excursions cost another $1400. But that is up to you - probably a once in a life time trip so why not? Sometimes the guides went on too long when you were tuned out or itching to go and look. e.g. Colosseum. Realise it was a tour not read more a holiday so expect it to be full on. Tour Guide did a great job considering the hiccups with road accident hold ups and floods. I was very surprised by the high quality of the accommodation for such a budget tour. Used the online service of Global Journeys which was much easier than using a local Travel Agency. Achieved our aim of seeing virtually all the main sites of Europe Bucket List. I have recommended this trip to friends. My wife had a bad leg but she had no trouble coping.
It exceeded my expectations and then some! 1 The Canadian Rockies , Australia, May 2013
I had a absolute brilliant trip, it exceeded my expectations and then some! An I cannot speak more highly of our tour guide Serena Campbell, she was just fantastic, knew so much about everywhere we were, extremely helpful and just the perfect guide, our drive was also brilliant, both of them faultless. I am going to start planning a trip next year to read more Europe so will be In touch later on in the year. Thanks again for helping organise my best trip ever.
Enjoyed our tour but there were a few issues 1 The British Isles in Depth , Australia, May 2013
We enjoyed our tour but there were a few things that we were were not happy with. Being dropped in a city in the cold and rain to walk around for a few hours (perhaps alternatives need to be made on days like this) but why do we need to spend time walking around for hours in cities? Perhaps you could visit some of the smaller scenic places along the read more way instead of driving flat out to get from one city to the next. Our tour director seemed to know a lot about the royals and who was married to who but are there many people that really care about that type of thing. Strathpeffer accommodation was appalling (nice old hotel though). The meals that were supplied were all quite good except for the buffet style meals.
Well organised, but seating could have been better handled 1 Focus on Scandinavia , Australia, May 2013
Well organised. Hotel in Oslo didn't meet the standards of the others. Guide was very approachable, but maybe a little light on detail for some venues. Obsession with moving seats to enable everyone to have a front seat does not suit those of us who are happy to sit towards the rear, and not move. Why not ask who wants to sit at the front and those read more who don't and organise accordingly?
The optionals enhanced our tour experience 1 Golden West Adventure , Australia, May 2013
Good highlights tour of California, Arizona and Nevada. Excellent tour director. Most hotels good. Sonoma below expectations. The optionals enhanced our tour experience - perhaps more could have been offered eg meals in popular locations.
