Good solid tour 0 New York City, Niagara Falls & Washington DC , NSW, Australia, Jul 2024
Well run tour but a bit bare in terms of itinerary. Some of the accommodation was not central. Nice tour guide and people on the trip.
Wow America! 4 Trans-American Adventure , VIC, Australia, Jul 2024
If you are wanting to see the most of America... this is the trip for you. Jam packed with sights and information to enhance your forever made memories and travel companions.
Amazing Classic Japan: Land of the rising Sun tour with Cosmos   5 Classic Japan: Land of the Rising Sun , QLD, Australia, Jul 2024
I can truly say that this tour was amazing and a perfect length of time. We booked from Cairns Australia to Haneda, Tokyo.
The tour was extremely well organised and ran like clock work. We had a small group of only 12 people and we all got along really well. Our tour guide Naoko-san said this was the smallest group she had ever had. We felt really read more lucky as she said some groups can have around 30 people. Every day ran exactly to the itinerary, the Hotel rooms were small but not an issue as we were delighted to return to the room every evening for a clean bed and hot shower. The included meals were of a very high quality and morning breakfast buffets were really fantastic and great value. The cooking of Okonomiyaki, Japanese savoury pancake in Hiroshima was also a definite highlight!

Rachael from Global Journeys booked our tour and she was also really fantastic and replied to emails and phone calls without delay. All of the destinations included in this tour were certainly all of the must see locations to get a comprehensive feel of Japan. From country areas, to large cities of Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto to the more mountainous regions of Fuji san and the lovely canals of Kurashiki. The Tea Ceremony was very serene and traditional and we really enjoyed the experience.

Our tour guide Naoko-san was also very lovely and kind and she tried her very best every day to make sure everyone was happy and enjoying the tour. If you are thinking of booking this tour, from our experience, I would recommend to anyone who would like to experience the most interesting and beautiful landmarks in Japan :)
Great for First Time Visitors to Scandinavia 1 Focus on Scandinavia , VIC, Australia, Jul 2024
As I had never been to Scandinavia before this tour was a great way to visit the major cities in the three countries of Denmark, Norway and Sweden. It shows you enough to decide if you want to go back again or have seen enough. Everything ran to schedule and I felt confidence in our driver and tour manager. A great starting point for Scandinavia.
Crazy beautiful experience   1 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer , QLD, Australia, Jul 2024
I can't say enough about the majestic scenery I've seen. Incredibly beautiful. Our guide Tarek had 26 years of experience to guide us through our journey and was a wealth of knowledge with other activities not included in the tour. On the whole, accommodation was clean and comfortable while being in the 3 star range. The Rocky Mountaineer was also a read more terrific starter to the entire trip. I rate this as a must do experience for couples, groups or solo travellers.
Highlights of Beautiful Ireland 6 Irish Discovery , VIC, Australia, Jun 2024
An amazing tour of Ireland with a wonderful tour leader Bob. He was just so knowledgeable of every aspect of Irish culture, history and geography. Our 8 day tour crammed in so many highlights and although every day was full of new sights we never felt rushed. The hotels were of a reasonable standard (3 to 4 star) and mainly in very convenient locations. read more Fellow tour members were very friendly and everyone seemed to get on well. Thoroughly recommended if you want to see Ireland’s highlights without the hassle of driving.
Saving the best for last... 2 Norwegian Fjords , NSW, Australia, Jun 2024
This was the 4th and last Cosmos tour we did on our 9 week sojourn of Europe this year and Norway didn't disappoint. The scenery was stunning! The tour was easily paced with coach, ferries and trains all used to transport you around this beautiful country. The hotels used were all of high quality and located close to town. The optional tours are a must read more to complement the overall tour experience, but the included Flam Railway return trip both up and down the valley was outstanding. Norway isn't the cheapest European country, but there are ways and means to try and stick to a budget. eg buy some easy meals and drinks in the supermarkets instead of restaurants. We would definitely consult with Tracey at Global Journeys for more Cosmos tours in the future as this trip went off without any issues and the professionalism, speed of reply and friendliness shown by Tracey was greatly appreciated.
Wonders of the West! 1 Western Wonders , VIC, Australia, Jun 2024
The 12 day tour was wonderful and the best way to see the highlights of the Southwest in a short space of time. Thoroughly enjoyed The Grand Canyon and Yosemite. We would definitely recommend travelling with Cosmos and booking with Global Journeys.
West coast of Canada   1 , ACT, Australia, Jun 2024
The accommodation for this trip was fair to good, what we expected. Our guide Brad was excellent and very knowledgeable, he shared lots of interesting things with us about the people and places. The scenery was spectacular and the optional excursions we went on were very good.
Highlights of Germany 1 , WA, Australia, Jun 2024
This was a very fast tour of Germany with lots of places visited and lots of walking. Not really suitable for anyone with walking difficulties as some of the sites had large number of steps. Most of the hotels were fine apart from the one in East Berlin which was in a seedy area and was extremely basic. It was a 2 night stop which would have been much read more better in a decent hotel. There was nothing provided other than linen and towels and the rooms were extremely small. Maybe Cosmos should look at accommodation in West Berlin for this tour. The same applies to the hotel in Munich which was the only other 2 night stay. It was a long way from the city involving a train and a bus to get back to the hotel.

The tour guide was very professional and informative and knew a lot about the areas we visited. Some lovely medieval towns which were the highlight of the trip for us. Booking through Global Journeys was easy and I would book through them again for our next trip. Not sure whether we would go with Cosmos again (this was our 9th tour with them) as the service (no porterage) has certainly dropped since the pandemic and some of the hotels leave a lot to be desired.
Italian Lakes 5 The Magic of the Italian Lakes , WA, Australia, Jun 2024
This trip through Milan and the lakes district provided so many highlights. It is such a picturesque area and well worth visiting. Cosmos tours did a great job of putting in so much of the area for us to see. From coaches, ferries and cable car rides. Accommodation was always at its best except for the Lake Como accommodation. This needs to be reviewed read more for future travellers.
We had great communication with Sam from Global Journeys and hopefully this continues for all future enquiries.
Spectacular journey through Switzerland 4 Scenic Switzerland by Train , QLD, Australia, Jun 2024
Cosmos Scenic Switzerland by Train is a great way to see all the best that Switzerland has to offer in a short time. Everything is taken care of and their host guide was both informative and knowledgeable. You'll travel 1st class on all the train journeys and the overnight accommodation hotels are all within 15 minutes walk from the train stations. read more The optional excursions were excellent and I highly recommend doing these. Overall a fantastic trip in all respects.
Spectacular   3 Norwegian Fjords , NSW , Australia, Jun 2024
There were 48 on the coach yet it was always on schedule and it was a relaxed pace tour. Hotels varied but only one was a bit underwhelming. Tour leader Beatrix is not Norwegian but had great knowledge. The highlights were unquestionably the 3-4 days at fjords. We took an extra night in Oslo which was worth it.
Focus on Scandinavia 2 Focus on Scandinavia , VIC, Australia, Jun 2024
The booking experience with Global Journeys was very smooth and the post-booking support was excellent. The tour was run by Cosmos. The tour leader was very friendly and responsible, keeping everyone aware of the tour itinerary and timing but was lacking knowledge of the toured cities and areas. He wasn't a local in Scandinavia. So we were not given read more much suggestions on what to do during the free time. The local tour guides were a mix, some were good and some were ordinary. I guess with such a big tour group of 42, it was difficult for the one tour guide to manage. The coach driver was perfect, with very good driving skills and helping with luggage and people getting on/off. The hotels were not in good locations, need to take public transport or taxi to/return from touring the cities. A fair bit of time was wasted. Most of the hotels were lower 3-star. The welcome dinner was ordinary and the farewell dinner was poor. It gave everyone on-tour a rather poor perception. Overall, we did enjoy the tour with the beautiful sceneries and different kinds of local food.
Outstanding vistas everywhere you looked 1 Alpine Adventure, Bernina & Glacier Express , NSW, Australia, Jun 2024
A lifetime dream was realised when we travelled through Germany, Austria, Northern Italy and Switzerland on this tour. The sightseeing was second to none - Castles, Lakes, Iconic towns and cities and of course the Alps. The rail journeys, as well as the cable cars and boats all added to the overall experience. We were blessed with perfect weather all read more trip so yes that only made it more memorable. The need to go from Euro to Swiss Francs and then back to Euros is something to be aware of but wasn't a major issue as you could use a card in most places. Cosmos has fashioned a great itinerary for this trip (perhaps an intro to Zurich may be added). We found Switzerland to be more expensive than the other countries and the standout area would have to be Zermatt.
Worth waiting for   1 Heart of the Canadian Rockies , SA, Australia, Jun 2024
This had been a trip we had planned before covid, although not using Cosmos. I am so glad we changed our operator. Alma, our tour director and Bruce our driver were some of the best we have ever had. Passionate and so knowledgeable about their country, and nothing was too much trouble. The Rockies by road was excellent and nothing like pulling up quickly read more and reversing to catch those glimpses of the locals. We were lucky to see so much wildlife and the weather was perfect! Well organised and the itinerary flowed well.
Amazing National Parks of America 1 Exploring America's National Parks , NSW, Australia, Jun 2024
Hannah from Global journeys was fantastic to deal with, she was always prompt with replies & always very helpful, it was a well organised tour from cosmos which covered a large area, it had amazing scenery, we really enjoyed & highly recommend this tour, we covered so many wonderful but different parks with natural landscapes & also seen lots of wildlife, read more we had great accommodation which was clean & comfortable it was very good value for money.
Irish Discovery Tour - Intensive but very good 6 Irish Discovery , VIC, Australia, Jun 2024
Our Global contact was Georgie who made us welcome and was very helpful with accommodating a number of requests in setting up the booking. Joining the tour in Dublin worked well when we flew in from Bucharest the same morning and we fitted right in straight away with the pm tours of Dublin and the Guinness Storehouse. The tour over the week hit all read more Irish high spots with an excellent driver and very helpful guide. Although the pace of tour was hectic we did get good breaks and free time at key times/locations. Pub evening and the Hayes Cabaret in Dublin were highlights. All hotels were of a high standard.
France Sojourn 3 Grand Tour of France , NSW, Australia, May 2024
The Cosmos Grand Tour of France is quite a good orientation to some of the highlights of France. This is more of a budget tour, with smaller comfortable hotels on the edge of cities (not in central areas), but comfortable beds and good breakfasts. Some of the highlights for us were Mont St Michel, Rocamadour, Carcassonne and Nice. Optional tours were read more good quality, while the optional dinners were variable quality and relatively expensive for what you received. You cover a lot of ground on this tour, with a couple of quite long days coming back to Paris from the Riviera.
Grand tour of France   2 Grand Tour of France , VIC, Australia, May 2024
Our tour of France with Cosmos started and ended in Paris. It was on the go most of time with lots of walking over cobblestones or lots of steps. We saw some amazing sights, the Bayeux tapestry, the WW1 battlefields, the Pont du Gard were just some of the highlights. We had a full bus of people from Aust. NZ, Canada & USA. A good mixture of people. read more It was an enjoyable trip with Nice, and Monte Carlo being some of the favourite places.
