Worth waiting for   1 Heart of the Canadian Rockies , SA, Australia, Jun 2024
This had been a trip we had planned before covid, although not using Cosmos. I am so glad we changed our operator. Alma, our tour director and Bruce our driver were some of the best we have ever had. Passionate and so knowledgeable about their country, and nothing was too much trouble. The Rockies by road was excellent and nothing like pulling up quickly read more and reversing to catch those glimpses of the locals. We were lucky to see so much wildlife and the weather was perfect! Well organised and the itinerary flowed well.
Amazing National Parks of America 1 Exploring America's National Parks , NSW, Australia, Jun 2024
Hannah from Global journeys was fantastic to deal with, she was always prompt with replies & always very helpful, it was a well organised tour from cosmos which covered a large area, it had amazing scenery, we really enjoyed & highly recommend this tour, we covered so many wonderful but different parks with natural landscapes & also seen lots of wildlife, read more we had great accommodation which was clean & comfortable it was very good value for money.
Irish Discovery Tour - Intensive but very good 6 Irish Discovery , VIC, Australia, Jun 2024
Our Global contact was Georgie who made us welcome and was very helpful with accommodating a number of requests in setting up the booking. Joining the tour in Dublin worked well when we flew in from Bucharest the same morning and we fitted right in straight away with the pm tours of Dublin and the Guinness Storehouse. The tour over the week hit all read more Irish high spots with an excellent driver and very helpful guide. Although the pace of tour was hectic we did get good breaks and free time at key times/locations. Pub evening and the Hayes Cabaret in Dublin were highlights. All hotels were of a high standard.
France Sojourn 3 Grand Tour of France , NSW, Australia, May 2024
The Cosmos Grand Tour of France is quite a good orientation to some of the highlights of France. This is more of a budget tour, with smaller comfortable hotels on the edge of cities (not in central areas), but comfortable beds and good breakfasts. Some of the highlights for us were Mont St Michel, Rocamadour, Carcassonne and Nice. Optional tours were read more good quality, while the optional dinners were variable quality and relatively expensive for what you received. You cover a lot of ground on this tour, with a couple of quite long days coming back to Paris from the Riviera.
Grand tour of France   2 Grand Tour of France , VIC, Australia, May 2024
Our tour of France with Cosmos started and ended in Paris. It was on the go most of time with lots of walking over cobblestones or lots of steps. We saw some amazing sights, the Bayeux tapestry, the WW1 battlefields, the Pont du Gard were just some of the highlights. We had a full bus of people from Aust. NZ, Canada & USA. A good mixture of people. read more It was an enjoyable trip with Nice, and Monte Carlo being some of the favourite places.
Best of British Isles in Depth 1 The British Isles in Depth , VIC, Australia, May 2024
Overall the trip was good. But in some places more time was needed to explore. All meals were of a good standard as well as the hotel/motels we stayed at. More time needed in Edinburgh to explore so much to see. Extra activities were good although some were a pricey for what you got. Tour director and bus driver were fantastic and very knowledgeable.
Excellent tour around Norway 1 Norwegian Fjords , QLD, Australia, May 2024
Beautiful country, pleasant and knowledgeable tour guide and skilful bus driver. Very congenial group of only 23 which made this Cosmos experience most enjoyable.
The Best of Greece 1 The Best of Greece , NSW, Australia, May 2024
Excellent Tour. The Tour Director was amazing, handling and organised 44 people extremely well. Excellent accommodation and meals at all overnight stops. My only comment is that a walking tour of Athens should be included in the Itinerary. As a single traveller, Athens was a very busy and an unsafe city for a woman to walk around by herself. The Hotel read more Moxy was an excellent Hotel to stay in Athens but was not in a very safe area. An excellent trip, great towns and sights to see and I enjoyed all the extra excursion's, which were a must if you are going to see the arachnological sights of Greece.
The name says it all....... 3 The Best of Greece , NSW, Australia, May 2024
The Cosmos Best of Greece tour was a fantastic trip back in time. You couldn't be but totally in awe of what was built sooooo many years ago! Greece's natural beauty also didn't disappoint. Our Tour Director was fantastic wrangling all of us around the many sights. This was an easy paced tour with mostly a couple of hours in the coach each day, but read more there was plenty of walking to do if you wanted to explore the sights at each stop. Standout area was Meteora. This tour has two free days in Athens on Sundays and unfortunately most of the city is closed. Travelling late May/early June meant we beat the crowds and the heat. All of the accommodation was of good standard. Most of the optional excursions were of good value. The final night dinner at the restaurant was most memorable. Compared to most of Europe we found that Greece was the most friendly to our wallets as food and drink was very reasonable.
Great Tour of Ireland   4 Irish Discovery , NSW , Australia, May 2024
There were 43 on the coach yet it was really well managed and always on time. Our tour guide was Carmel, a very committed and knowledgeable Irish lady. The hotels ranged from just OK to very good. The itinerary was great. We feel we had a good overview of Ireland. Highlights were Derry, Bunratty Castle, Killarney, Dingle and Blarney Castle. Thoroughly read more recommended tour. We were glad we also booked a couple of extra nights in Dublin.
Spectacular Rockies tour   1 The Canadian Rockies , VIC, Australia, May 2024
What an incredible 2 week global journey through the Canadian Rockies hosted by 10/10 Tour Director, Sharon Sawatzky, paired with highly skilled coach driver, Mike. Spring was a great time to go to see endless stunning scenery, lakes (although some still covered with ice, so not showing their usual colour), snow on the mountain peaks & an abundance read more of wildlife, including bears
(on several occasions) moose, elk, mule deer, orcas, ground squirrels, coyote cubs, marmot, bald eagle fledglings.

The accomodation was generally very good, the stopover towns that included free days were very well chosen. There was a good range of optional extra tours. Highlight for me was finally getting all the way to Jasper this time, travelling along the Icefields parkway, one of the top 4 most beautiful highways in the world & also the Ice Explorer experience on the Athabasca glacier, not to mention the wildlife sightings. Early morning snow in Banff then the weather clearing so we could do the gondola ride to Sulphur Mountain, the views down into the valley & the boardwalk to the summit.

Whistler was almost as beautiful as I remember, however Autumn/Fall is definitely the best time with the lovely colours in the leaves, although the tulips provided a lovely splash of colour this time. Sun Peaks was a beautiful little alpine ski village. Mt. Robson was a sight to behold. The Capilano suspension bridge, skywalk & boardwalk in North Vancouver are a must see & Granville Is. markets on the waterfront were fantastic. Soooo many highlights really, never-ending spectacular scenery, some great memories & wonderful new friendships made.

Sharon's commentary was fantastic. Her extensive knowledge of each area we visited, the history, facts, stats was mindblowing. Her great sense of humour was enjoyed by all. She was very well organised, patient, extremely helpful & easy to get along with. Nothing was any trouble to her. Mike's driving skills were impressive. We always felt safe irrespective of what terrain or weather we were travelling in. Overall, 10/10 for this amazing tour. Very highly recommended.
Central Europe 1 Central Europe , NSW, Australia, May 2024
We both thoroughly enjoyed the tour through Central Europe. The tour guide George and driver Salvatore were both excellent and kept everyone on track. The local guides were experts in their specific regions and enhanced our understanding of the history and events that shaped each country. The hotels were comfortable and the included meals made the read more longer days easier to handle.
Geat package and well planned 2 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , NSW, Australia, May 2024
All in all I have no real complaints but a couple of suggestions for improvements. The first day in Vancouver (Sun 12/5) could have been better spent actually visiting attarctions rater than driving past them - pointing this is so & so and on the coach leg of the tour we double tracked a number of times to meet timing of attraction schedules. I think read more this can be better planned so we are not wasting 1/2 day travelling unnecessarily.
Wow what an experience 1 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , NSW, Australia, May 2024
Very well planned itinerary and knowledgeable tour guide. Days were full of sites and activities and local custom was fantastic. The cruise was amazing & full credit to Holland America.
Best Scenic Tour 1 Alpine Adventure, Bernina & Glacier Express , NSW, Australia, May 2024
I had a great time on this Cosmos tour. Both the tour director and bus driver were so good and professional at their jobs. They went above and beyond ensuring all travellers were happy and satisfied. We also had a good group travelling together who all got on well. The scenery and places visited were very beautiful and unforgettable. The hotels were read more overall very good. Weather wise we were had it good with only 1 day not being the best.

Finally the booking process with Global Journey’s and my agent Hannah was both user friendly and faultless. Thank you.
France Tour for 13 Days   3 Grand Tour of France , QLD, Australia, May 2024
Trip well organized in general, good group, but good and bad details as usual.

Hotels 3* with very basic facilities (missing hot water/coffee facilities and fridge in all hotels, except one) and medium/small size room, but comfy. Great beds! Some were quite distant from the city center but most were manageable. Hotels' staff were good and fluent read more in English. Our Guide was a lovely guy, gentle, polite and calm. Good basic knowledge about touristic sites, however some times the communication of plans with the group were not so clear, generating some frustrations amongst some (and almost "forgotten luggage at lobby of hotel" one one occasion!), but in general very responsible and caring in all aspects. Always trying to help as he could in some unplanned bad situations. eg. Forgotten mobile on highway restaurant!

Our Driver was polite and a good driver, I suppose, despite a bit of more opening to help, maybe bending a bit the time schedule, could have saved a lot of stress on the "forgotten mobile situation", but in part understood due to the "highway possible difficulties".

Our route and attractions : great towns and attractions but quite in a hurry. Major difficulty was coordinating the meals and available time around visited towns to avoid missing the coach. Some of the major attractions, despite described on tour, were in fact independently done, not really part of the tour, like Mt Michel visit.

Included dinners were the low part of the tour, except for the last hotel, the included dinners were extremely poor in quality. Disappointing french cuisine in fact quite "uneatable" and ridiculous in some occasions. (My suggestion is to pleases revise the quality of meals before including it as dinner..for the sake of tour name!). Breakfasts were good in my point of view in all hotels (but I'm sure not complete for those who are used to hot bkf..)

A big failure of the planned trip that made me think twice for possible next trip with Cosmos was the badly explained beforehand and unexpected bad surprise on last tour day. Example: Last Paris day with 2 optionals for the same day, included on same day of a quick Paris Bus city Tour, where, whoever wouldn't be signed for the optionals were left on their own to find their way back to the hotel, for the sake of the optional tours to be completed. This was a bad surprise. About 12 travelers tried to sort Metro station/lines, walking literally 40 min to the right spot, relying in continuous street people advices and google maps, in Metro peak hour, some with mobility difficulties. (One couple separated due to fullness of metro train had to wait for next one alone).Seriously??!! The minimal expected would have been to drop who was not on" optional " tour , back at the hotel or at the very least close to the exact Metro Station. (They should be a priority in my point of view as a client paid to be"spoiled by a preorganized tour. This transport "adventure" was explained only on the last day. Maybe some people wouldn't even bother to go to the rushy bus city tour if were aware that optional tour would have priority above the regular clientele).

In general tour gives an idea of country France, superficially, as expected for quick moving tour, but a taste of France. Food and hotels will always have + /- ,all accepted as "expected"..but the last day arrangement I believe it is a big failure in planning, that should be reviewed.
Wonderful Mediterranean Teaser 2 Mediterranean Flavors , NSW, Australia, May 2024
Fast paced introduction to many quaint villages and large cities that are found along this tour's itinerary. The two weeks passed very quickly because of the amount of socialising with fellow travellers and sightseeing, whether it be by looking out the window of the coach or walking around the cobbled laneways. Having a very informative Tour Director read more and safe Coach Driver was a bonus as it lets you relax and simply enjoy the trip. If you know before you go that Cosmos's hotels aren't in the middle of the city and you do not have porterage of baggage included, you simply make the best of the situation and don't whinge about it. Also the optional excursions are usually worth taking to complete the experience, but we found having a bit of free time to explore ourselves was also beneficial as this was the first of 5 tours we were doing.
The Canadian Rockies   1 The Canadian Rockies , QLD, Australia, Apr 2024
We started our Cosmos tour in Vancouver on April 29. The weather was perfect the entire trip and lots of wildlife to see. The highlight for me was the up close view of the black bear on the side of the road, and orca sightings for my partner. The tour guide Jennifer Roberts was amazing and very knowledgeable. The bus driver Mike was marvelous. A very read more safe driver. All of the accommodation along the way was clean, tidy and comfortable. Great mix of fellow travelers and everyone had a great trip. We would definitely book with Cosmos again!
Great tour of Canada Rockies   1 The Canadian Rockies , QLD, Australia, Apr 2024
We really enjoyed our tour through Canada. The scenery is so beautiful. I was surprised a lot of lakes were still iced over in May and some areas were closed, but we had snowfall in Banff which was magical. Have used Cosmos before and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Our guide Tarek was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful and Dennis the read more driver kept us safe. I had previously been in spring (many years ago) and chose to go in May so as to see more snow and I was not disappointed.
Great first experience of Japan 1 Classic Japan: Land of the Rising Sun , QLD, Australia, Apr 2024
Convenient booking online and very helpful direct contact with Georgie. Process and trip went to plan. Our guide Emi went out of her way to make everything right. Pottery visit was a highlight and wondered if similar paper and fabric craft visits would be a good addition if available. Accomodation standard was good. Really glad we had Georgie add read more the transfer from Narita Airport into our Tokyo hotel. Late April timing of the trip meant that the full bloom of the Cherry Blossoms were over but still some good examples were seen. Good basic view of Japan, thanks.
