Start your Central European adventure in Berlin. Meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers, spend time exploring this remarkable city before enjoying dinner. (D) Stay: NH Collection Berlin Mitte am Checkpoint Charlie

Later, enjoy free time to explore Berlin your way. Perhaps discover the treasures of Museum Island or simply unwind in one of the city's leafy parks or cafes. If you'd like to dive deeper, join an Optional Experience to uncover more of Berlin's history with a Local Specialist. (B)

Travel through patchwork farmland to Poznań, then continue on to the vibrant Polish capital, Warsaw, your home for the next two nights. Discover the youthful verve of a city that has risen from repeated invasions and the constraints of communism.

This evening, enjoy time at leisure to explore the sights independently, or join an Optional Experience delving into Warsaw's past. (B) Stay: Radisson Blu Sobieski

Join a Local Specialist this morning to explore Warsaw's colourful historic centre, including the Old Town, which the Nazis destroyed in retaliation for the brave Warsaw Uprising. We'll also see the former Warsaw Ghetto, where hundreds of thousands of Polish Jews were imprisoned during the German occupation, tragically immortalised in the poignant Roman Polanski film 'The Pianist'.

Spend the rest of the day exploring the city's sights on your own. Consider a visit to the Wilanów Palace, a priceless testimony to the splendour of Poland's royal past, or treat yourself to a Chopin recital, before joining your travel companions this evening for a delicious dinner at a local restaurant. (B/D)

Today, journey south from Warsaw to the Auschwitz Memorial Site of the former Concentration Camp, a poignant reminder of one of the greatest tragedies and crimes of human history. Your visit includes a guided tour of Auschwitz. Continue to the enchanting city of Kraków. (B/D) Stay: Golden Tulip Krakow City Center

A leisurely walk through the beautiful streets of Kraków today with our Local Specialist will include such highlights as the Royal Castle and Cathedral on Wawel Hill, recognised as the most historically and culturally significant site in Poland. We continue through the Old Town to hear the bugle warning from St. Mary's Church and view of the Cloth Hall.

The rest of the day is yours to explore the sights on your own. Consider joining an Optional Experience to the Wieliczka Salt Mine, renowned as the Underground Salt Cathedral of Poland and home to an entire chapel carved from rock salt, as well as dozens of sculptures. Enjoy a slice of Polish Sernik Babci on the Old Town Square or visit a traditional milk bar.

This evening, perhaps join your fellow travel companions for delicious home cooked Polish food and a night of dance and music at the Farmhouse Dinner and Polka Party. (B)

Today we travel through three countries from Poland, through Slovakia's Tatra mountains, and into Hungary as we arrive in beautiful Budapest later this afternoon.

This evening, perhaps consider a scenic river cruise with dinner along the beautiful Danube. (B) Stay: Mercure Korona

We join a Local Specialist for a sightseeing tour. Spend the rest of the day exploring on your own or consider a trip to Szentendre, a lively riverside town renowned for its art life.

This evening, we Connect With Locals and join the Schieszl family for dinner and hear the story of their winery at our Be My Guest experience. (B/D)

Today, leave beautiful Budapest, cross the hilly Transdanubia region – its orchards and vineyards providing a picturesque backdrop – as you continue along the path of the Danube and stop in the former trade-route town of Győr. Amble along Baross Gábor Street and admire the Baroque facades, before departing to Vienna, your home for the next two nights. When in Vienna, enjoy a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience - wine tasting at Cobenzl winery. (B) Stay: Imperial Riding School

Walk through the first district, Inner Stadt, as your Local Specialist reveals the historic core of the city. Tour the Ring Road to see the Hofburg Imperial Residence, Opera House, Parliament Building and Karlskirche. Spend the rest of the day discovering the city at your own pace. Consider joining an Optional Experience to enjoy traditional Austrian cuisine and a musical performance. (B)

Travel north to the Czech Republic and visit Tábor, once a Hussite stronghold. This afternoon, arrive in the remarkable city of Prague. (B/D) Stay: NH City

Join a Local Specialist this morning for an exploration of the city's labyrinthine lanes and beautiful squares. Admire the impressive St. Vitus Cathedral, set within the 1,000-year-old Prague Castle, cross the Vltava to the Old Town Square and view the 14th-century Astronomical Clock. Wow 5 , NSW, Australia, Dec 2019
This was an amazing trip full of fun and excitement. It was a wonderful to see the European landscape in winter, we even visited a snow resort in Slovakia for lunch. It was uplifting in beautiful Vienna, Budapest and Prague but there were also sombre and thought provoking times at Auschwitz and in the Polish ghettoes. The Be My Guest dinner at Schieszl read more winery in Budapest was a highlight. If you get the chance don't think twice, just go.
Great way to see Central Europe 4 , NSW, Australia, Aug 2017
The weather in August was fantastic but unfortunately it was school holidays and there were a lot of tourists everywhere we went. Most of our excursions were early so as to avoid the crowds which is great if you like getting up early. This trip involved a lot of long days traveling which I know is probably unavoidable but can be quite exhausting as read more well. Tour group and director were great and we certainly did see a lot and have same great experiences. Optional excursions were excellent and worth the money.
Trafalgar's Bohemian Highlights 11 , QLD, Australia, Aug 2017
The Trafalgar Bohemian Highlights tour was outstanding. From the start, the Tour Director, Jon O'Reilly was both professional and personable with all members of the group. Our driver, Christof, got us to all locations on time and assisted with those needing help to alight from the bus as well as delivering our bags to the lobby on arrival.

All hotels read more that we stayed in were superb. The cities that were visited on the itinerary were breath-taking and although we only stayed for 2 days in each, it made you want to go back for more. The optional tours were excellent and a lot of fun. While the inclusions were outstanding and brought the group together more. I travelled as a solo but made many friends with both other solo travellers or other couples. There was a good range of Australian and overseas people on the tour.
My favourite destinations were Berlin, Budapest, Vienna and Prague. I will definitely be travelling with Trafalgar again. Their organisation and accessibility into the prominent sights is superb and you will always attain value for money on their tours.
It was a great experience.
Bohemian Highlights 8 , NSW, Australia, Jun 2017
A wonderful trip. Perhaps on our sightseeing with specialist guides time can be set aside to take photographs as memories can fade but not the photos. Both Justine and Kris were great each in their own way, definitely made the tour safe and enjoyable. Yvonne and Global Journeys you are the best. Hope to have another holiday in 2018.
We'd go again!   7 , WA, Australia, Jun 2017

Hotels were brilliant and very local to the cities visited. Local tour guides were fantastic.. especially Koty and Yolante. We'd go again.

Worry free adventure across Eastern Europe   3 , WA, Australia, Aug 2016
Our tour trough five countries was very memorable, mostly due to fantastic travelers. Besides beauty of the cities we visiting, it was fun and enjoyable time after day's tours. Local guides was very professional and enthusiastic when showing us their city. Accommodation was very pleasant and in high standard. The real highlight was dinner on the boat read more on Danube in Budapest, after it was sky-show! I left my new friends in Prague and travel back to Poland by train.
Informative tour of Central Europe 3 , Australia, Aug 2016
Were fortunate to have very good weather for entire tour commencing in August. Hotel standard on occasion exceeded expectation - although some did not offer free wifi. Some optional excursions were very expensive. Transfers offered to airport on last day of tour should be extended to rail /bus / ship.
A magical experience travelling through Bohemia 2 , WA, Australia, Jul 2016
Firstly booking our trip with Hannah Campbell was so easy, Hannah answered the many questions we put to her, always giving us positive responses. She is at the height of her profession. Bohemian Highlights was a busy, full on tour, everything went perfectly, city tours, regional meals, be my guest dinning, and hidden secrets. This only happened because read more of the super efficiency of our wonderful tour director Bill Jones. His time management skills kept the tour on track, historical knowledge was exceptional and captivating. Wonderful people skills, showed consideration for the older members of the group, making himself available for any questions or requests, plus keeping us informed of our daily schedule by email, making for a happy contended tour group.

Excellent local city guides, proud to be showing off their relevant cities, also the expertise of the two coach drivers, who kept us on time, and more importantly safe. Successful Optional Highlights to name just two, were the Farmhouse Dinner and Polka Party, which was a fun night with plenty of vodka and lots to eat, in contrast to Dinner & Viennese Concert with the music of Strauss and Mozart. Not forgetting our Farewell Dinner, where we congratulated Bill on the success of the tour, accompanied by jokes, poetry and lots of good cheer.
Excellent Trip 3 , Victoria, Australia, Jul 2016
We would recommend this trip highly. Simple booking process thanks to Yvonne Brooks at Global Journeys. Tour guide Justine was simply outstanding in every facet, she made our journey even the more memorable with her attention to detail and nothing was too much trouble.
