No complaints about the accomodation or meals 1 European Cavalcade , Australia, Sep 2012
Thanks Georgie and Global journeys for helping us experience our Europe Tour. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it to anybody who wants to experience as mush as they can in 17 days. Firstly our Tour Director Emile, and coach driver Angelo, know their business and do it well with precision, we cannot complement them enough. Trafalgar read more Tours have done a wonderful job putting together the itinerary. We did do all the extras bar 1, and would highly recommend them to anybody. Highlights would have to be Amalfi Coast, Italy. We loved Positano and Sorrento. For a low cost tour, we had no complaints about the accommodation provided or meals, they were to a high standard, and perhaps higher than we expected. Once again thanks Georgie for our memorable experience, cant wait to do another tour in the near future!
Tour gave us time in each place without feeling rushed 2 Italian Glory , Australia, Sep 2012
We loved the tour from the moment we joined it. The organisation, the accommodation, the travel provided and especially the fun of the group that we toured with. We were unsure how we would enjoy a tour however we would not hesitate to join one where possible. We especially liked it being a leisurely tour as it gave us time in each place without feeling read more rushed or exhausted from travel. Highlight for us in 2012.
It ticked all the boxes 2 Italian Scene , Australia, Sep 2012
The Italian Scene tour was great. It ticked all the boxes. I am the type of person that when I travel I pick one country and by the end of the trip I want to be able to say 'I never have to go back to that country as I have seen / done everything I wanted to so onto the next country'. I can definitely say that after doing the Italian Scene Tour. I can read more make that comment and now head to the next country. Without this tour I would still be in the queues waiting to get into major tourist sites example Vatican Museum and Colosseum. Plus the booking experience with Frances was excellent. I am a tough judge on anyone doing my travel bookings as I previously worked for over a decade in Corporate Travel as a Senior International Travel Consultant, as I was expected to give high customer service I do expect this and Frances exceeded this. Her customer service is of the highest level.
Smaller villages were interesting 2 Country Roads of Italy , Australia, Sep 2012
Insight Country Roads of Italy was a great tour, taking us to some smaller villages which were interesting. Belinda Richardson, the tour manager, was amazing, she had to deal with a some injuries and illness, but did it in a manner that did not affect the tour. The optional excursions seemed expensive, but they were to interesting destinations and we did enjoy most of them.
This tour is A1 2 , Australia, Sep 2012
For a first timer to Europe this tour is A1. It covers a lot and in style. I am past camping and the luxury old hotels were lovely. Food was plentiful and a taste bud treat. We had 30 people that all got on, and a tour director that knew a lot of interesting things. Cosimo the bus driver did not speak much english, but was very good at his job. I have read more a richer mind after doing this tour and I now have some more friends in Australia and America. Thankyou Gobal Journeys.
A wonderful trip, and I could do it all again 4 Elegance of Great Britain , Australia, Sep 2012
I loved this tour, Peter the tour leader was great as were the drivers. Not having too many people helped and everyone got on with everyone else. Only disappointment was the lack of time in Bronte country. I was wild with delight when the itinerary went to Haworth, but we were there only an hour and a half! We went through the museum but felt hurried, read more although it was no one's fault, just how the day panned out. I and others would have liked to wander through the village, go to the pub, whatever. We loved seeing the English countryside from the coach, something you would not see as well from a car. I was a single and was very fortunate to pal up with the other single lady, we got on like a house on fire. All in all, a wonderful trip, and I could do it all again.
Would we do another Insight Tour? Of course we would 8 Country Roads of Scotland , Australia, Sep 2012
Overall the Tour was very good. We had a mixed group for five different countries. Whilst the weather wasn't perfect, we managed to see all of what was promised. Our Tour Director was exceptional, great sense of humour, excellent knowledge of history and the development of Scotland. Would we do another Insight Tour? Of course we would.
Completely hassle free due to Insight's organisation 2 Treasures of the Balkans , Australia, Sep 2012
A great tour visiting interesting countries. It was very enjoyable and relaxing as it was completely hassle free due to Insights organisation. My husband and have done many international tours and are still looking forward to do lots of them as the tours are good value for money.
Hit all the highlights to give you a taste for a bit more 1 European Traveller , Australia, Aug 2012
It was very good. Hit all the highlights to give you a taste for a bit more. It needs 1 more day to allow for some time in Lucerne and commute to Venice. In general the accommodation was good, a bit poor in Florence where I could barely get into the shower. The bathroom was so small.
Trafalgar has done a very good job 2 Imperial Europe , Australia, Aug 2012
I totally enjoyed the Imperial Europe tour. It was a well organised tour. Trafalgar has done a very good job. The tour operator Craig Hill is an Australian and he is very good. He is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I could not had asked for a better tour guide. The local guides are very good too! Overall the accommodation is very good except read more the hotel in Salzburg! It was shocking and basic! None of us were happy with this hotel. It would be perfect if the hotels that we are staying were in the city centre.
Well paced tour with a brilliant guide 3 Switzerland and Austria , Australia, Aug 2012
Well chosen well paced tour with a guide for which the word excellent does not do her justice. All seeing all knowing all organising all problems sorted. (I watched her in action in two languages at once). And she entertained us with stories, poetry and song (on one occasion). Very memorable with time to appreciate all the beautiful places. Only one read more sour note which I doubt you can do anything about. We came up against the ludicrous EU driver regulations which annoyed everyone on more than one occasion. (Ed. We'll get onto it!)
Recommend to anyone interested in learning about UK 1 Britain and Ireland Explorer , Australia, Aug 2012
Excellent planning, hotels and food wonderful. Scenery and entertainment out of this world. Can recommend to anyone interested in learning about history of the UK or just generally touring around.
I am so glad I went on this trip 2 Britain and Ireland Delight , Australia, Aug 2012
I am so glad I went on this trip, thinking now how I should have gone for longer. That's okay because I am thinking of booking another in the coming year (longer). I could not have asked for a better time thanks a bunch for all your help it made the trip so much easier.
Will definitely be booking again through Global journeys 3 Britain and Ireland Delight , Australia, Aug 2012
What can I say I just loved this tour. I meet some fantastic people and everything about the Britain and Ireland Delight tour was wonderful the food, countryside the people. I can honestly say there really is nothing to grip about our tour director was great, very knowledgeable (we saw a lot in the eight days) and a very lovely person nothing was too read more much trouble our bus driver very capable. For someone who has not travelled on a plane or visited another country since she was a little girl (I am nearing fifty and this was my first tour overseas) I was soon put at ease the way everything just fell into place and no worries at all. I have to give thanks to Yvonne at Global Journeys, for it was her that put my mind at ease and answered all my emails (and there were many). I personally would recommend this tour and will definitely be booking again through Global journeys.
Very impressed with attention to detail 2 Highlights of Eastern Europe , Australia, Aug 2012
I was very impressed with the attention to detail and the amount of places we were able to visit. Also in regard to the detail that Heinz our guide provided us with as we drove between cities. He was a wonderful guide, helpful and very professional at all times. I really couldn't fault the tour but would have like an extra day of activity in Vienna read more at the end (with the tour finishing on the Saturday morning instead of Friday. We could have perhaps gone to Belvidere and to one of the wineries just out of town for our final dinner. I also found my way to Schindler's Factory in Krackov and that was fascinating. That would make a good addition to the tour.
Good pace and was not too rushed 2 England and Scotland Heritage , Australia, Aug 2012
I found that the tour took a good pace and was not too rushed. The tour guide and the driver were friendly and pleasant and we had a fairly good bunch on the tour. The only criticism I would have would be that the 'expectation' to pay tips to both the tour guide and driver should have been made clearer from the outset or added to the cost of the tour. read more (Ed. There is an option to prepay tips if you'd prefer. Based on your feedback, we will make it clearer on our website to ensure our future clients clients know they have choice. Thanks for your feedback.)
We experienced so many highlights 2 England and Scotland Heritage , Australia, Aug 2012
We went on two tours - the first from the 22 August to the 29th August in the UK with Trafalgar tours and then on the 1st September to the 15th September to Europe with Cosmos. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour in the UK and Andrew Thomson our tour guide was a great communicator and very knowledgeable regarding the 'heritage' focus of the tour. Our 2nd read more tour was to Europe with a focus on Italy. It was really wonderful and again our tour guide Ilke was excellent. We experienced so many highlights. Thankyou to all concerned.
Exactly what I needed 7 Britain and Ireland Experience , Australia, Aug 2012
The Trafalgar 12 day 'Britain and Ireland tour' was exactly what I needed to start off my 2 months around Europe. The group was an older age group which meant for more sightseeing and an overall excellent cultural rather than a party experience. The tour director Steve Morris was excellent and the driver Glen made the journey safe and without a scratch. read more Quite exceptional considering the narrow streets of Britain in a 52 seat coach. Excellent and would recommend to everyone wanting a cultural journey through Britain and Ireland.
Completely happy with all aspects of the tour 2 Northern Capitals , Australia, Aug 2012
We were completely happy with all aspects of the tour. We have travelled with other companies but found Insight to be better organised, better hotels, great guide and driver, great local guides better all round. They also had some little touches which were appreciated. The included meals were fabulous and in wonderful venues. We highly recommend Insight read more and Global Journeys. Our dealings with Yvonne were all we could expect with prompt answers to my calls and enquiries and also in her absence.
Definitely value for money 1 Britain and Ireland Panorama , Australia, Aug 2012
All in all it was a fantastic trip with a great tour guide and driver. Based on where we went, where we stayed and what we did it was definitely value for money. The only down side was that we did not have enough time between arriving at our hotel and going to dinner. I wish we had some more personal time each day and not having to finish the night read more so early. There was a lot of touring which meant little exercise each day so I at least needed to be a bit more active. In addition I think that the bus seats needed to be a bit more comfortable based on the number of hours spent driving. I wouldn't mind spending a little bit more with a few less people if it meant a more comfortable ride. Having said all this I would still recommend the tour to anyone who asks.
