Best of Devon and Cornwall

This tour is the best of Cornwall and Devon. We needed to adjust our expectations as we were disappointed that the we did not spend 2 days/1 night in Cornwall. There is a lot of time on the coach where you double back which adds about an hour per day on the coach and less time available for the stops. As an example, we visited Bath (which was fantastic) read more but then drove through Bath to the hotel (30 min drive each way to Bristol) then back through Bath the following morning to set off on the journey with a return back through Bath to the hotel in Bristol and then back through Bath the following morning.
I would suggest that the trip perhaps reduces the number of stops (farms and villages) to enable time at key tourist attractions - many people on the tour wanted to tour the Windsor Castle but we didn't have enough time. My expectation was perhaps unrealistic - Stop at Windsor, Bath and head down to Cornwall. St Ives was great, it would have been good to have had an overnighter in Cornwall and perhaps even include St Isacc which is well known and would give us a good feel of two coastal villages in Cornwall. St Michael's Mount was amazing but 2 1/2 hours on the coach for a 20 minute stop - not really enough time to do anything.
I have done many tours in the UK over the course of the last 6+ weeks and was surprised to be told about the expectations of gratuities each day. They were not mentioned in my other tours by other operators. The hotels were good, but as mentioned above I would have preferred to have stayed in Cornwall and would have been happy to stay in an airBnB to enable an overnighter in Cornwall. Overall, the trip was ok, most likely I will hire a car and head off down to Cornwall on my next visit.

Having a huge fascination with Nordic countries this was my dream holiday. Tracey at Global Journeys was very helpful with my booking. As this was my first time travelling solo overseas, Tracey was very helpful with my queries beforehand. Thank you! The tour guide and 2 coach drivers were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and they regularly went read more over and above to ensure everyone's needs were met and all were happy. I can highly recommend this holiday.

A sensational trip with the highlight a week in Norway sailing the beautiful fjords and travelling through snow clad mountains. The entire trip was a joy, with a very knowledgeable and energetic tour guide, skilled driver, lovely hotels and good meals including many included dinners. Hannah made booking trouble free.

This is the 2nd time we have booked through Global Journeys and our contact Hannah has been wonderful! It is always great to get the same person to deal with again.
The tour with Trafalgar was our first time and we found the short tour to Devon & Cornwall to be exactly perfect. Our Tour director Hannah and bus driver Steph were absolutely the best read more to deal with and they looked after the whole bus load of 47 tourists really well. I wouldn’t hesitate to travel with Trafalgar again. There was a good mix of people from Australia, US, UK and NZ.

Best of Croatia and Slovenia

Well paced tour with Trafalgar with multiple 2 night stays. Our tour guide was energetic and knowledgeable and had a great passion for the two countries. The tour group were a great mix and added to the fun of the trip. Slovenia was an incredible surprise with the stunning Lake Bled and the capital of Ljubljana. The Plitvice Lakes in Croatia and its read more entire coast line is absolutely stunning. And for Games Of Thrones fans like ourselves Dubrovnik old town (aka Kings Landing) was the icing on the cake. It is our second overseas tour we have booked with Global Journeys and both times the attentiveness of their staff is much appreciated.
This tour was a Trafalgar tour and was the best tour we have been on. Trafalgar really know how to run a tour. Our Tour Director and Driver were faultless, both providing an excellent service. The Tour Director (Terry Blanchflower) needs a special mention. His attention to detail was first class. He provided us with each days activities the eve before read more and ensured that we all knew what was happening and when it was to occur. He made great recommendations for things to do when we had free time.
Ireland is a fascinating country to visit. The people are so friendly and welcoming. Everywhere we went we met locals who welcomed us with open arms. The social scene experienced at each of the Pubs we visited was nothing like what we see here in Australia. The history and scenery are both very interesting and well worth the effort to visit. The tour itself is a leisurely pace that allows enough time to relax and explore cities at an acceptable pace. I would definitely recommend this tour.

This was such a wonderful 13 day Trafalgar tour of Switzerland and Austria in May 2023. The Alps were stunning, and the towns and villages we visited were beautiful, with so much history. I thought the optional tours that I did were well worth doing, even though they were pricey, but then Switzerland is a very expensive country to visit. The itinerary read more on this tour was great and I loved everywhere we went. Also, I think it's well worth spending a few days before or after the tour in Zurich, as there is so much to see there, and also a beautiful city, especially the Old Town and lake/river areas.
Our Trafalgar travel director, Dr Q, was absolutely fantastic, very friendly and knowledgeable, and always there to help. The coach driver was excellent, and a very safe, cautious driver, especially when he was navigating our coach around the many narrow hairpin bends in the spectacular Alps. The hotels were great and well located, which is important. Thank you again, Tracey and Georgie from Global Journeys, with your help in organising yet another wonderful holiday.

Oh my goodness I just got back from my first tour with Trafalgar exploring Portugal and saw so many wonderful things that I would not have gotten did it on my own. Our tour guide was so creative within the structured itinerary. For example she organised opportunities for people to speak one on one to vintners or to see an amazing bookstore. And the read more passion that she has about Portugal brought the history and culture to life. Having said all of this, without Jemma's wonderful guidance and support during the whole booking process, it would not have been possible. Jemma has such wonderful experience and made the whole process seamless. thanks for such am amazing holiday and can hardly wait until September for the Greek Islands.
Would absolutely recommend the Best of Italy tour. This was my first tour and although I knew it would be good, it exceeded my expectations. We were told it was a popular tour and considering the number of beautiful places you visit and the great accommodation where you stay, you can see why. From the great team including the professional TD and driver read more to the local specialists it was all so well organised. It was so much fun. Special thanks to Georgie for booking my tour with such ease and I look forward to booking another in the near future.
Great tour of Ireland and Northern Ireland that was aided by excellent weather (we expected rain every day but only got a few days). Our TD Emma was a local with a clear passion for her home and she provided good information and funny anecdotes through the ten days. The itinerary was mostly great, although we would've preferred to have stayed in Waterford read more instead of Kilkenny for our penultimate night (Waterford was larger and more interesting), especially when the last day involved basically travelling back towards Waterford to head to Dunbrody, which didn't seem logical.
The hotels were generally of a good standard with excellent location near the city centre, except for Galway which was a bit far (a 30-minute bus ride away). We did also notice that around half the hotels on the tour was changed from the ones listed from our original booking, including the one in Galway. Overall, we recommend this tour if your aim is to visit most of the country's top attractions (Giant's Causeway, Cliffs of Moher, etc.) in a comfortable way and want a taster of the two countries.

Wonderful look at many different aspects of Vietnam and Cambodia on this tour. Comfortable accommodation throughout and the group size was perfect for sightseeing. Highly recommend the Best of Germany tour. The tour director and local guides were outstanding. Incredibly insightful, thoughtful, and generous with their time. Our tour director Agnes Kruger, was so funny, kind, generous with daily sweets and songs, so helpful, even organised birthday cake and presents for me. We all told her she was outstanding. read more The hotels and breakfast were very generous and had loads of variety. Drivers were very skillful amongst tiny streets.
We had a great time in Portugal. It probably was best holiday we ever had. Trafalgar tour was flawless. Tour director and driver were so nice and professional. Had a wonderful Trafalgar tour of Scandinavia to see the Northern Lights. We were very blessed to see the lights over several nights which were amazing and Lapland was so beautiful. For me the highlights were Cradle Mountain, Sarah Island, Launceston's Cataract Gorge, Freycinet National Park, Port Arthur, the Bruny Island boat cruise, and crossing the Tasman Bridge on foot, in addition to the excellent dinners. I now miss Tasmania read more and would do the Trafalgar/ AAT Kings tour again in 12 months' time.

We had awesome holiday. Everything went so smoothly. Our Trafalgar tour guide, Brendon Bush, went beyond expectations. He'll make sure everyone been taken care of and he's attention to detail and knowledge of histories was amazing. Our driver, Alec, was amazing as well. Feel safe with him drove us around. Great experience, should be aware there is no guarantee on seeing the Northern Lights. Global Journeys are a delight to deal with and highly recommend them to book your travel.
