Excellent itinerary was trouble free. The knowledge that our tour director has was impressive. He was cheerful and always willing to help. Thanks Emily for your outstanding service again, I have highly recommended Global Journeys to our OZ tour members, friends & colleagues. Looking forward to booking with you again.

We were very impressed by the organisation of both the trip and by the daily operation within the trip. Everything was done and instructions were quite clear. Bags were ready for collection and delivered to your room immediately. Meals were great with local flavours dominating. Specialist tours had guides that knew their subjects very well and delivered read more professionally. Overall it was a worthwhile experience.

Overall experience very good. Trafalgar guide and driver were both very professional. The guide's knowledge and language skills were quite amazing. Hotel accommodation a little disappointing on occasion, notably Paris.
Holiday of a Lifetime

Grand European
Murray & Vicki Smith, VIC, Australia, Jun 2016
We had a wonderful Holiday in Europe thanks to Trafalgar that we had wanted to do for a long time, our travel group were a great bunch of people 34 Australians and New Zealanders. I must say our Tour Guide was the best. Lynda made our tour very special by the way she organised everything down to the last detail, put a lot of extra time in after hours read more so it ran so smoothly for us. We also appreciated how she made sure we got to places early to beat the large crowds and the heat. Lynda has a very good personal knowledge of Europe having living there for a long time which made it easier for all of us all. She has a great sense of humor and her singing and dancing is ok to. The Optional Experiences that Lynda selected were all of great standard and value for money.
The only disappointment was not being able to go up in the Eiffel Tower due to it being closed due to the riots. Lynda did her very best to make that happen at least we got to walk under it later in day after Lynda's persistence and we saw it lit up on the River Cruise. Our Driver Enzo was also fantastic as driver and as a person we felt very safe with him he never missed a beat always new where he was going and where to park for our convenience. Finally i wish to thank Yvonne Brooks at Global Journeys for helping arrange our tour, she was always available and happy to answer my many questions. and arranged everything without any problems, she always seemed to remember me when I rang even after many months which we appreciated.
Very good tour covering all we expected to see. Accommodation was a little poor and largely on the outskirts but other than that excellent. Great Tour Director, he made the tour that much better (Andrew Thomson).
The tour overall was outstanding made by Steen the Tour Director, Kerry our Coach Driver, the Highlights as such and our fellow tourists. The only negative was that the first couple of hotels were being renovated and this caused some discomfort. I feel other hotels should have been used.
Highlights were the great scenery and rugged coast. Optional tours were a bit disappointing for the cost apart from Celtic Steps show, which was a last minute inclusion. Accommodation was great. Unfortunately the airport pick up did not go smoothly as the reps had no knowledge of our tour; eventually sorted. Tour director knowledgeable and helpful.
Austria and Switzerland with Trafalgar deffinately the Best.

Switzerland and Austria

This was the most memorable holiday I have ever had. Our tour operator Emmo and driver Venci were great. A lot of thought has been put into this tour, covering a wide range of experiences. Anyone considering seeing Austria and Switzerland should seriously consider this trip with Trafalgar.

Excellent from the planning of the trip to the completion of the tour. Yvonne Brooks from the service department was very helpful and prompt with all my queries and all the documents arrived on time. The Tour Director and driver were wonderful. John the tour director was bubbly, witty and knowledgeable and nothing was too much for him. He made the tour read more really fun. My most favourite was the 'be my guest at the Manor House, working farm, Somerset. Love the little surprises like the free scones at the end of our train ride at Windermere, the free CD on our trip, the lovely group photo and the generous free drinks that came with some of our dinners. I think that the trip should extend to 15 days so it's not so rush.
Our tour was excellent, our Director Nathan and Coach Driver Dave, what a Team they were. We became one big family with our other tourist friends on the coach it was hard to say goodbye. The Trafalgar motto is SIMPLY THE BEST and each day Nathan and Dave would live up to that standard. Also would play the song. Now we think of Canada and all the new read more friends we met when we hear it back home. The accommodation was very clean and comfy beds close to everything in the area. We will travel with Trafalgar again hopefully in near future back to Canada. So well organised, a worry free holiday. Thanks also to Yvonne at Global Journeys for doing all the bookings for our 2 Tours so much easier when someone else does the work for you.
We travelled with Trafalgar which was organised by Global Journeys starting in NY City 17 June and ending in Boston USA 30 June 2016. We were very lucky with weather throughout our journey. Coach was comfortable and the driver and travel director were very good. This was the case with our previous trips by Trafalgar/Global Journeys in Europe and USA read more National Parks Explore and USA Northern California and it seems we renew our amazingly good impression as time goes on. Overall experience was excellent. If we must name one place or two, Niagara on the Lake is the most beautiful village and Quebec City is most beautiful city, more European than European cities. We recommended to our two daughters and the family preferably in similar season as the most Canada, esp Niagara on the Lake, we told, is in non-action, due to severe cold weather and heavy snow, during October and April. We recommend Global Journeys!
This trip was a good way to explore some of the highlights of Germany & Austria. Trafalgar has again provided an interesting and diversified travel experience with a good mix of coach, train, river cruise, include meals and experiences. This is our 6th trip with them and they have not failed us yet. The tour director provided us with wealth of local read more knowledge but the local experts were a little disappointing. Hotel accomodation was good with a mix of good quality smaller family run hotels and larger chain hotels where required. Good value trip as we saw a lot in short time. Loved the mountains in Austria and Vienna is a wonderful city. Would recommend this trip for people travelling to Germany and Austria for the first time. Special thanks to Yvonne and the Global Journeys team for making the initial booking experience so easy for us.
Everything taking care of - worry free tour 1
M.P.K, TAS, Australia, Jun 2016
Highly recommend Trafalgar Tours. Everything planned, just needed to get on the coach everyday for a new adventure worry free. Tour Director Kirsten and Coach Driver Ron are an excellent team together. Nothing was to much trouble for them to make it happen e.g optional extras and all the little hidden treasures on the tour. Everyone became one big read more family as our tour went on. It was hard to leave our new family behind at the end of tour. Accommodation was of a very high standard right through out. Very clean and comfy beds and close to everything in the area. It was the perfect time of the year to take this tour. Will book my next holiday again through Global Journeys, Yvonne was very helpful throughout out our booking, and will definitely travel with Trafalgar again back to Canada - cant wait for my next trip.

Fredrick & Liesl Payne, WA, Australia, Jun 2016
We would certainly book again with Global Journeys, and Michelle White our Tour Consultant, was excellent. Our travelling companions were fun and a good mix of cultures. The drivers were excellent. However the quality of the hotels was not up to 4 star standard and the tour director lacked knowledge of Spain or the language nor was she very helpful. read more The Be My Guest dinner was poor in comparison with our previous experiences. In general the included and optional meals left much to be desired, except for the dinner at La Castafiore (dinner at the opera) which was exceptional and the standard we expected.
Hills were a live with the sound of music 7
Chris Kladis , Vic, Australia, Jun 2016
A very nice tour of Bavaria and Austria. Had a relatively small group of 24. Ages ranged from 13 to 73. Travel director was very good and generally went out of her way to help though at times I did felt left out as a solo traveller as she spent a lot of time with certain groups within the group. Accommodation was excellent and coach was very good, though read more the WiFi dropped out continuously. As an At a Leisure tour, the pace was great with plenty of time to do your own thing. Optional excursions were very good, though overpriced in my humble opinion. There was no pressure to sign up for them however. Key moments included: excursions to Dachau, Innsbruck, Berchtesgaden and the accomodation at Schloss Leoploldskrom (Salzburg). The Be My Guest dinner was fabulous.

The whole tour was of great interest. It was in great part due to the Tour Director (Peter Pinto) who was superlative. The accommodation was four star with one exception and was very satisfactory. The coach driver was very skilled. The booking process was satisfactory as Michelle was always available to answer queries. I was a late decider and the ticketing read more etc. went quickly and efficiently. The itinerary was exceptional and early summer proved a good time to travel.
If you are looking for a fast paced tour, where you see a lot in a short period of time, then this is your tour. Be prepared for lots of coach travel and long days however. Given it was a short trip (7 days) and lots of coach travel, it was a little limiting in getting to know other travellers however if you want to cover a lot of territories in a read more short period then this is the trip for you. Would be good to have broken up the last day with a wine-tasting stop in France and would have been happy to start earlier and have lunch there.
The whole trip was a highlight something I had always hoped we'd do and was not disappointed. Trip ran well the pace was on the go but that is what we expected. If you only have a limited amount of time it is the way to travel - never had to wait for anything, no lines! Each experience was special.
We were amazed at Trafalgar's service, and attention to our needs as travellers, including the Travel Director and drivers. Elizabeth Lewis was highly efficient and professional, attentive to the needs of all 43 guests, and her knowledge of the significance and history of all the places we visited and saw was outstanding. The three drivers , (Steve, read more Gary and Phil) ensured we were always in the right place at the right time, at each location or hotel. The selected hotels were all good, to very good, given the locations of the 1 and 2 night stays. All arrangements, including booking, ticketing, and general communications by Global Journeys representative Leanne Duffield were excellent and timely.
On a large coach I was one of three Aussies, and the other 2 had Irish background and accents! The guide was also an Aussie and I came to appreciate his presence because we shared a sense of humour. Most passengers were from the U.S. and divided along party lines, and there were some Canadians.
The itinerary was geared a bit to American interests read more and their Irish heritage (but I did realise this before booking), and boy did they love to shop! The weather in June was quite warm and most hotels did not have air-conditioning. It was sometimes a scramble at the front desk to get a fan. In one place they went out and bought some fans to keep everyone happy. I have travelled with Trafalgar before and it was fine, but this trip was not a favourite.
