Absolutely amazing tour 4

Wow! Absolutely amazing tour of South West England and Wales. We were fully informed at every step of the way onto our tour. Our tour guide Ann Marie was immaculate in her presentation and her delivery of the patter and tour information. It was like being on a cruiseliner, not that I have ever been (but would love to). Her knowledge, personal attention read more to detail and the level of assistance she imparted to us was par excellence. Our driver Laurie was superb and well acquitted for the role. He drove with safety and finesse on the open (wriggly English) roads and inside each town and village.
Nothing was left to chance and we felt part of a happy family right at the outset. We met some wonderful friends early in the tour. The Brits know how to run a fully catered tour, and this company and the immaculate planning schedule they provided us was beyond any other tour we have been on. We learnt a great deal about British history, the royal hatches, matches and dispatches, the general countryside and the purpose behind many of our English terms of reference. We would like to thank Globus for the tremendous effort they have put in to make this one of the best ever trips we have ever had. We would highly recommend a Globus organised tour to any of our friends and family.
The add on London excursion to the live performance of Wicked was a bit of a letdown and we were quite disappointed at the end of a superb four day tour. Our London coach departed our meeting point twenty minutes later than the stated time. Then we were informed the restaurant opened half hour later on Saturday, which meant we had to rush through and eat our three course meal hurriedly and did not receive our complimentary coffee. The stall seating in the theatre was average and not as we were lead to believe. Overall a very uneventful and sadly lacking part of our whole experience in London, and more so that it was at the end of a highly successful and enjoyable tour of South West England.

The Best of Italy

This tour could not be faulted - from start with the online booking consultants through to the tour itself. There was not one 'glitch' from start to finish. The Tour Documentation sent prior to departure was excellent, accurate & helpful. The Tour Guide was sensational with knowledge, helpfulness & cheer. The local guides used in parts were great also. read more Hotels were first class in location, comfort & cleanliness. Some hotel included meals were not the best but made up for by the 'optional excursions' like a lunch in Burano, A ventian night out, Tuscan dinner. Even though it was a coach tour there was plenty of walking & rests with 'time off' to either rest, shop or whatever. Touring is the only way to go as everything is organised to get the maximum benefit of seeing as much as possible within the time frame. In short - sensational & would do again!

It was a wonderful tour - the itinerary was very well worked out to include the most memorable places and the time allocation for each place was perfect. Our tour leader, Gordon, was highly experienced and most knowledgeable about the history, culture and geography of all places we passed through. Tony, our driver, was really accomplished and everything read more went like clockwork. We learnt so much, saw wonderful scenery and had great experiences in all the towns we stayed at. The hotels were very well located and generally excellent. The tour group all got on very well, socialised and there was always a friendly atmosphere. We went on nearly all the optional excursions which were really worthwhile and added greatly to our enjoyment of the holiday.

Scottish Highlands & Islands

I had a great time on my tour. It covered a diverse range of the Scottish landscape with interesting visits to a range of historical sites. The tour director was well organized and helpful as well as providing interesting commentaries during our travels. The driver was the best. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see parts of Scotland read more not easily accessible to the solo traveler and the islands.

We were very satisfied with the service offered by Yvonne at Global Journeys. The tour itself was excellent and we enjoyed it immensely. However we noted on our feedback form to Globus that the standard of service and food at a couple of hotels was below the acceptable standard. As far as the other hotels were concerned, we found them to be have excellent read more standards of food and service. Thanks again.

Our tour guide was Rui Veiga and we could not have had a more knowledgeable and congenial host. His commentaries were excellent and his information often went beyond the usual scope of a tour guide. He made the holiday in Portugal for me and other members of the group. A common opinion of Portugal was that we were pleased to have seen it but would not want to return.
The tour was absolutely brilliant. Our Tour Director, Martina, was really excellent. The places visited were beautiful as well as interesting and Martina's knowledge of them gave us a wonderful insight into their history, and the scenery was magnificent. The hotels and restaurants were also excellent and the service throughout was wonderful.
Globus are a very professional operation. The Tour director (Scott Widenhouse) was excellent. The Driver was also excellent and the coach was a late model, in excellent condition. The itinerary and accommodation were also with the meals excellent value for money.

We really enjoyed our tour hotels and food. Excellent tour guide, best we've ever had on a tour, wide range of history, very helpful at all times and had a great knowledge of where we were visiting. We used the 'whispers' for the first time and it is an excellent idea. We could hear everything that was said and we lost nobody. The driver was also very read more nice, always on time and generally very helpful. The group of people we traveled with were really nice, happy and it was lovely to be part of their company We would have no hesitation in recommending the tour. All in all we had a fab time plus the weather was good. More than we can say for the Irish weather, horrible (but you take what you get!)

Italian Treasures

Thanks to Yvonne from Global Journeys for making my trip possible. I had particularly wanted to go on the Italian Treasures tour on the 12th April and after enquiring through several agencies was told it was booked out. Fortunately I came across Global Journeys on the Net and Yvonne handled my enquiry professionally and efficiently. She was able to read more get me on the tour! During the ten days we were all looked after so well by the tour guide and even the driver of the bus. The itinerary was not too rushed and we had ample time for sightseeing and retail therapy. The tour guide was exceptional in explaining the history of the places we visited. I loved the tour and had a lot of fun and a great time as we all got on so well. I was a little hesitant at the thought of travelling on my own but all fears vanished as soon as I commenced the tour. I can't wait to book my next trip with Global Journeys. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone wishing to see Italy.

The tour was above expectation. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, approachable, helpful and entertaining. The bus driver was second to none. The extra tours on offer were excellent. Would not hesitate to recommend Globus Tours to any prospective traveller. One of the bonus' to your guided tours is your access to famous landmarks. (Coliseum, Vatican read more City, The Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Moulin Rouge just to name a few). Having caught the travel bug, will be checking Global Journeys web site for our next adventure.
