We all enjoyed the tour 2 , Australia, Jul 2012
Our family all enjoyed the tour, might choose Globus again for our next holiday!
Our first ever coach tour and we were very pleasantly surprised 4 , Australia, Jul 2012
The 19 Day Traditional Grand European Tour, was our first ever coach tour and we were very pleasantly surprised. Our guide Mauro, was the making of the tour, with his expertise, his sense of humour and the running of the tour to make it go so smoothly. We got to see and do so much in the 19 days, it was truly amazing. We wouldn't hesitate to book with read more Globus again, as we would not hesitate to book with Global Journeys either. Our Consultant, Georgie was extremely helpful and very prompt in returning my emails whenever I had a query.
I thoroughly enjoyed the tour 1 , Australia, Jun 2012
Our tour director and driver were both great, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. It was all very efficiently accomplished with luggage delivered and collected from our rooms promptly and courteously. We did all of the extra optional tours and they helped to make the experience great fun. Hotels were generally very good but Internet availability and read more speed not so good. A couple of hotels treated us as package tourists and that was not as pleasant. The German dinner in Heidelberg was a low point but the Swiss night in Lucerne was incredible! The tour was somewhat rushed but we had limited time and knew this when booking but the tour really did enable us to gain a real sample of Europe. Balancing convenience and cost against greater freedom to choose our own destinations is tricky but we felt we were on a winner with this tour and did much more in the time we had than we could have on our own! The tour took all of the hassle out of travel. We made some great friendships even though the tour was not a lengthy one. We look forward to returning and taking a longer tour.
We couldn't fault the trip at all 4 Spirit of the Rockies with Rocky Mountaineer and Alaska Cruise , Australia, Jun 2012
Right from the moment we booked the trip with Georgie to when we met our Tour Director, Michelle Meyers, everything just fell into place. We couldn't fault the trip at all and it all went very smoothly. The hotels were all first class, the Coach was always beautifully clean, the Rocky Mountaineer was terrific and the places the Coach took us to see read more were all stunning. We met some great people from many different places and had a wonderful time with them. The ship going to Alaska was more than we expected and it was great to see the little towns along the way and talk to the local people. Overall we enjoyed the whole trip and haven't stopped talking about it since we arrived back home.
Best tour guide we have ever had 1 Scenic Ireland , Australia, Jun 2012
Great tour, and tour guide was best we have ever had. Hotel rooms in Bundoran are in desperate need of renovation & maintenance (location and food excellent ). Holiday Inn Killarney also needed rooms modernised (really only 2-3 star). Coach seating was very uncomfortable as leg room was far too little. There were only 40 people on tour so they should read more remove the other seats. Georgina Walpole from Global Journeys was fantastic in all of her dealings with us.
We had so much fun on the coach 3 , Australia, Jun 2012
The tour director Ms Hanni Briel is the best! She can speak so many languages. She made our trip more interesting & memorable even though we were constantly on the go from 6am - dark every day. We had so much fun on the coach with Ms Hanni for the 19 days. Will definitely do it again on the different tour. Just hope that we will have a tour director read more like Hanni. The coach driver Mr Danilo was such a calm & a steady driver - we felt safe in his hands.
Excellent tour although a little fast paced 2 , Australia, Jun 2012
An excellent tour although a little fast paced with some very long days and early starts. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and caring. The optional tours were not value for money. I would recommend Globus.
Wonderful tour 1 European Highlights , Australia, Jun 2012
Wonderful tour. We loved all inclusions and optional extras. we were very happy with the tour guide, Lode. He was entertaining and friendly. We would love to do more tours with Globus in the future.
Really enjoyed our Globus Yukon journey with cruise 4 Ultimate Alaska & the Yukon with Alaska Cruise , Australia, Jun 2012
The tour director Colleen Patrick was very efficient and very caring. The people on the tour were great as well, no one was late or had any complaints. Colleen was very informative with her knowledge, and her and Chris the driver worked very well together. The scenery was spectacular and we learnt lots about the local areas and the customs of the people read more through Colleen. We did the flight over the Arctic Circle as an extra and flew from Fairbanks to Coldfoot and then by van into Wiseman, we really enjoyed this part as the guide was very knowledgeable and was quite happy to show us around his living quarters. The only negative we had was with the food in most places, it was warm not really hot enough plus couldn't get a HOT (boiling water) cup of tea. This isn't a negative for Globus just a comment from our point of view.
Tour covered all the highlights 1 , Australia, Jun 2012
Excellent Guide and Driver. (Globus) Tour covered all the highlights. Food mostly good except for a couple of nights. The stingy approach towards alcohol in Swiss Hotels helped me lose some weight. Global were good making all the bookings except for the Dubai Stopover with Emirates - you didn't have a clue and I had to ring Emirates three times and read more visit them once. They were pretty hopeless as well. Anyway the stopover was good - probably 3 days would be better than 2 because 2 really only gives you one full day plus transfers. We did a separate Exodus tour of Turkey first and again all transfers Dubai to Istanbul and Istanbul to Frankfurt went well.
The tour guides were amazing 2 , Australia, Jun 2012
I was originally booked with another group /company and through circumstances out of my control was moved to this one and I am grateful. Thank you, I had wonderful time. I was a single traveler and met fabulous people on the tour from around the world. We experienced the glorious Italy together. The guides were amazing providing so much information, read more and the coach, hotel, food etc all super good, Cant wait for my next tour.

I was a single traveler and met fabulous people on the tour from around the world. We experienced the glorious Italy together. The guides were amazing especially those in Florence and Rome providing read more so much information - a joy to listen to. I'm now getting ready to book my next adventure!
Recommend Global Journeys and Globus! 1 Italian Mosaic , Australia, Jun 2012
The Italian Mosaic tour was great! I would recommend Global Journeys and Globus!
Alaska exceeded our hopes enormously 1 Spectacular Alaska! with Alaska Cruise , Australia, Jun 2012
We had a Cosmos tour in May to the Grand Canyon and Canyonlands which was fantastic followed by a Globus tour in Alaska with cruise down the Inside Passage to complete the journey. Alaska exceeded our hopes enormously, would recommend to anyone.
Everything else very good 2 Scenic Ireland , Australia, May 2012
I rate the tour and value for money as excellent as it met my expectations. Everything else very good, not because they fell short but am probably comparing with other tours so all in all the experience was close to excellent. Also a big thanks to Georgie. Communication with us and efficiency was excellent. I look forward to dealing with Global Journeys in the future.
Very enjoyable although the pace maybe a little strenuous 4 Portugal in Depth , Australia, May 2012
We wanted to discover Portugal and its history and the tour enabled us to do this: it included all the places we particularly wanted to visit. The tour guide Pedro was very organised and efficient. He was pleasant and amusing, giving us interesting historical explanations as well as describing everyday life in Portugal. We felt in safe hands with Carlos, read more the driver, who was always patient, polite and helpful. All the hotels were comfortable and central. The Mundial in Lisbon was very close to the famous squares of the Baixa and the buses and trams. Although our only disappointment on this tour was the food at the hotel Mundial, where vegetables came out of tins and fresh fish was unknown. Overall, the tour was very enjoyable although the tour pace was maybe a little strenuous for the average age of the participants.
Fantastic holiday 2 A Taste of Ireland and Scotland , Australia, May 2012
Everything that was promised was delivered. Our tour director Julian Cleary was amazing. His knowledge of history was outstanding. We were all treated with respect & dignity. As for Mark, the coach driver, wow, he could manoeuvre that bus anywhere. The only dampener we had was that both of us ended up with the flu, but we were well looked after!
Magnificent tour 2 A Taste of Ireland and Scotland , Australia, May 2012
Well organized, great tour director, would definitely travel with him again. His knowledge patience & great sense of humour were incredible. The coach driver was amazing his knowledge of roads & streets was incredible. Magnificent would & have recommend Global Journeys to our friends. Hope to do a European adventure in the not to distant future.
What a pleasant surprise! 5 Emerald Isle , Australia, May 2012
To be perfectly honest I was not looking forward to doing an organised tour but realised if I was to see Ireland this was the only way for me. What a pleasant surprise I was to have! Right from the start with the welcome from the most amazing tour guide, Liz McKenna, was so warm and then that of meeting my fellow travellers who were all Americans. As read more I was alone and the only Aussie their friendship was warm and wonderful, always making sure I was not sitting or walking alone, unless I wanted to. And let's not forget George, who has to be the best coach driver in Ireland! The way he handled that huge coach down those narrow lanes etc was amazing and one felt so safe with him at the wheel. I left Ireland with a heavy heart, new email friends and full of happiness and with renewed knowledge of the history. My biggest thank you goes to Liz for her friendship, her incredible knowledge of her country and great Irish sense of fun. She was an absolute gem who played an enormous part in trips success for all of us.
Italy was such a beautiful country to visit 4 Italian Mosaic , Australia, May 2012
Italy was such a beautiful country to visit. The Italian Mosaic tour, however was a very mediocre experience. The hotels were generally good with the exception of the Venetian accommodation which though quoted as 4* would only be 1-2* here in Australia. I found the tour guide, though helpful, patronising at times. Sometimes it felt as she was reading read more from a script. No real extra information. Too many Optionals in my opinion. I thought many should have been included as standards. I highly recommend all the Tuscan optionals. Visit to Capri never happened due to industrial stoppage at Capri port. No alternatives offered. This tour was too quick and not enough time to immerse youself in the great culture. Got sick of eating lunch at auto grills. My recommendation would be to break up Italy into smaller 'guided tours' at a slightly slower pace so that you can fully appreciate what Italy really has to offer. By the way, the gelato was to die for - go pistachio or malaga.
