Overview

It may come as a surprise that the beloved Irish tune “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling” was written by a trio of American songwriters. That’s the moving influence of this enchanting and captivating land. So, when are Irish eyes smiling? At every moment on this undiscovered tour of Ireland – as you stroll down the lively streets of Dublin, sip Guinness in a boisterous pub on the Dingle Peninsula, take a horse-drawn jaunting-car ride through the Killarney countryside, and even bake scones on a quaint Irish sheep farm near read more Galway.

By way of the most dramatic coastal and pastoral scenery, this tour of Ireland leads you to the lesser-known gems of the Emerald Isle as well as the cliffs, castles, and famous crystal you’ve long heard of. As you hum along the winding Ring of Kerry and the rocky Aran Islands, this tour of Ireland “will steal your heart away.” PLUS, your tour includes our choice of excursions in Waterford so you can plan the day your way.

Céad mile fáilte—a hundred-thousand welcomes!

Irish eyes will be smiling at 3 pm as you meet your Tour Director and travel companions for an afternoon orientation drive through statue-lined O'Connell Street, elegant Georgian squares, and past St. Patrick's Cathedral and Oscar Wilde's Trinity College. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner at your hotel. (D)

TOUR HIGHLIGHT - CITY SIGHTS: “In Dublin's fair city where girls are so pretty,” you'll also find great personality and charm. The charisma of Dubliners and the bounty of pubs here is matched only by the gorgeous Georgian Squares, 12th-century St. Patrick's Cathedral, and Trinity College.

Fabulous in every way 4 , Australia, Aug 2013
My tour of the Emerald Isle was fabulous in every way. Hotels, Service, Food, Tour Guide, Optional tours, Driver, Scenery, Itinerary you name it. Even the weather was kind.
What a pleasant surprise! 5 , Australia, May 2012
To be perfectly honest I was not looking forward to doing an organised tour but realised if I was to see Ireland this was the only way for me. What a pleasant surprise I was to have! Right from the start with the welcome from the most amazing tour guide, Liz McKenna, was so warm and then that of meeting my fellow travellers who were all Americans. As read more I was alone and the only Aussie their friendship was warm and wonderful, always making sure I was not sitting or walking alone, unless I wanted to. And let's not forget George, who has to be the best coach driver in Ireland! The way he handled that huge coach down those narrow lanes etc was amazing and one felt so safe with him at the wheel. I left Ireland with a heavy heart, new email friends and full of happiness and with renewed knowledge of the history. My biggest thank you goes to Liz for her friendship, her incredible knowledge of her country and great Irish sense of fun. She was an absolute gem who played an enormous part in trips success for all of us.
