This trip was far more than we ever expected. Our driver Adrian and hostess Shelley helped to make this special. Every corner of Canada is an Ooh or Aah moment. The accommodation was fair comparable to the cost of the tour. We loved that no meals were included so we could do our own meals during this tour. This is the third tour I have booked through read more Hannah and she makes the process so easy an explains the process from start to end clearly so we know what to expect.
Each city visited was interesting, amazing and full of history. Despite the long driving days, there was always a tour of the city as well as enough time to explore independently. The Salt Mines in Krakow was a highlight for us whereas Auschwitz was a haunting and sad experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

I had an amazing experience with Cosmos. The experiences and incredible scenery were amazing - from the Rocky Mountaineer to our coach tour to our Alaskan Cruise. Our tour guide, Tarek Sabet was so informative and helpful, going out of his way to oblige us on tour. So many highlights to mention - seeing bears, elks and deer, glaciers, our hotel accommodation read more which was excellent, our coach driver Nelson who was also very obliging and an excellent driver. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone. Amazing, beautiful trip. Still raving about it. Lasting memories, would definitely travel with Cosmos again.
I enjoyed this tour immensely with the highlights being Yellowstone, Jackson and Mount Rushmore. We managed to spot a bear, a moose, elk and bison so the wildlife was there and the scenery was just spectacular. I really recommend doing the optional float trip down the Snake River. Lots of people didn't do it because they thought it wouldn't be very read more comfortable but it was fine and to me the highlight of the whole trip. Our tour guide Ken was really knowledgeable and with our driver Ricardo they made an excellent team.
Sensational Alpine Tour 4

This was the 2nd of 3 tours I booked with Georgie at Global Journeys. There are not enough superlatives for the scenery on this tour. This tour really sells itself: the mountains, lakes, trains, cable cars; all wonderful. Every day was different. There were 42 people on this tour, I was the only solo traveller. Again, quite often in the hotels, I had read more a single bed in a small room with barely enough room for my suitcase on the floor. However, clean rooms and hot showers and usually fabulous breakfasts made for a pleasant stay.
Very good, organised Tour Director Zsofia and coach driver Michele. We were very impressed by the prompt action Cosmos took in organising a temporary coach and driver to meet us off the Glacier Express to drive us to Lucerne. Michele and the coach were held up by a fatal traffic accident only an hour after leaving Tasch. We were fortunate that the cities in Switzerland are close together and that there was a spare driver and coach in a nearby city awaiting the start of a tour who could assist.
My favourite area was the Dolomites mountains. Other favourites: in St Moritz we were provided with a free local transport card and used this to travel by local train then cable car to La Diavolezza - lots of snow and fabulous photos. Lucerne was beautiful and Turin was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend this tour - just go!!

The Cosmos tour Italys Best was just that. A great tour, lots of interesting places to visit which was very well organized by the tour guide. The hotels were all good, although the first & last hotels are usually out of the way, which in this case was true. It was an "on the go tour" , up early, breakfast and on the road. We walked many kms on lots read more of cobblestones and walked up many steps. Lots of highlights which were too many to pick out a favourite, just beautiful little villages or magical places like the Isle of Capri or Lake Maggiore.

From booking with Global Journeys to travelling with Cosmos it was very good, sadly the hotel in Vancouver was not the best. But Sharon our your director was very knowledgeable about the whole journey, she was very considerate to us all. All the places we stopped at overnight were good. The Rocky Mountaineer trip was fantastic not to be missed.

Wonderful trip through the Rockies. Our guide Renato was fantastic, full of knowledge of the area and very helpful. Doug our driver was wonderful, always making sure our luggage was always there. Magic cruise through the inside passage and the Glaciers. Cons: Sandman on Davie in Vancouver was not a good area to stay in.

My wife and I spent part of our honeymoon on a Cosmos tour, the "13 Day Alpine Adventure, Bernina & Glacier Express". From the very start, we were warmly welcomed by our tour director (David) and the rest of our group. Though it was a big tour (45 of us in total) we really enjoyed getting to know everyone - they were all friendly and happy to chat.
The read more tour itself was incredible. Over 13 breathtaking days, we travelled the mountains and valleys of Italy and Switzerland (briefly in Germany and Austria) with incredible food, tours and overnight stays. One quick tip - make sure you get enough sleep! The tour can be tiring if you're falling behind on rest. We both loved our experience and will definitely book with Global Journeys and Cosmos again!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable trip. Each day brought amazing highlights and a feast for keen photographers. Itinerary was well planned to enable us to visit/ see from the Alps to the Dolomites travelling through various countries.
If you are looking for a excellent in depth history of cities visited and like visits to churches, cathedrals, statues, paintings, museums & ruins, etc , this trip is for you, however expect many hours on the coach driving along main highways in heavy traffic with trucks. First day was 8 hrs, every couple hours a comfort stop at service stations so read more expect a 20 min line up for toilets with a full bus load.
Also expect at many major sights pushing through crowds of tourists lots of buses there. The hotels we OK but most way out of town, hard to find dinner options. Included meals were very average , but you get what you pay for with trip price. Also after Covid you have to get your luggage from the bus and return to bus, that's ok but when checking in to your hotel you have 46 people as on our trip with large suitcases trying to get in a small lift most times, it takes about 1/2 hour to get to your room, same when leaving. Expect a lot of walking at times. If you're after a scenic back roads leisurely tour, this trip is not for you.

It is our third time booking with Global Journeys with special mention to Georgie and everything was excellent with regards to arranging our bookings. We have no hesitation in recommending this company. We just finished our Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland tour with Cosmos. Beautiful countries and the scenery are spectacular. Accommodations are read more great with breakfast everyday. The only downside now in Cosmos is they removed the hotel porterage, it means we have to drag our luggage's from the coach to the hotel. Most of the travelers are in their 50’s including us. We are considering not to travel with Cosmos again.😃
We are not new to Global Journeys and our fabulous consultant, Jemma. We will continue to use them for future travels. The Cosmos tour of the western National Parks covered an enormous area. We travelled in early May and it was just perfect. We still had snow on the mountains, beautiful days and the wildlife coming awake after winter- stunning! Our read more tour director, Daryl and driver, Mark were professional and very experienced making the journey comfortable and interesting.
France is great, lots of historic buildings and gardens, just marvellous. Unfortunately public toilets are very few in my view. Learned how to use their public transport which was on time mostly. Hotel accommodation was not great, really small rooms, some air-conditioning wasn't working. Tour director was good, tried to cheer us up with her singing read more too. We made some good friends, trying to keep in touch with.
This was the 1st of 3 tours booked with Georgie at Global Journeys. This is a fast paced, busy tour. There were 44 of us on this tour including 6 solo travellers of which I was 1. Some hotel rooms I had a single bed in a small room with barely enough room for my suitcase on the floor. Very good Tour Director: Camille (fun and full of energy) who always provided maps and marked them up with directions. Coach driver: Tom, very safe driver, very clean coach.
I really enjoyed the French countryside, My favourite place was Chenonceau chateau in the Loire valley. Paris at the end of our tour was extremely busy. I felt this tour provided a great introduction to France.

Scenic Switzerland by Train

We had good prompt service from Rachel at Global Journeys and a wonderful Tour Guide, Tina, travelled with us - very happy, funny and knowledgeable, however, it went downhill from there. As train enthusiasts we had a few disappointments along the way.
Cosmos brochure stated that the highlight of the tour would be travelling on the Glacier Express read more and Bernina Express. We did not step foot on the Bernina Express, no explanation given, very disappointing. Eight hour day on the Glacier Express was very long, not allowed to wander anywhere to stretch our legs or take photos except in our carriage. Thank goodness for the amazing scenery. We read that the bar/dining carriage has special non-glare windows so you could take clear photos of the amazing scenery - we were not allowed to enter that carriage so photos from our seats were not as good as they could have been - we asked different train staff members if we could just sit there to take photos, did not want any service... no not allowed.
The day before our 8 hour journey on this train we were told there would be no food service on board so we needed to shop for our lunch and snacks the day before leaving Zermatt. Strange for such a prestigious train not to serve lunch etc. On the day however train staff came through our carriage to take orders for lunch and was told we all had already purchased our food the day before. Train staff were confused and disappointed - as we were as there was obviously food service available - would have been much nicer than a day old sandwich.
Tour accommodation started very nicely at Novotel Zurich, most hotels after that were obviously chalets for skiers than general tourists. Had a bad back by the end of our tour due to old beds that needed replacing. Special mention of the accommodation at Zermatt: half the group stayed in the listed hotel, the other half were taken across the road to a different building. During conversation on the train the next day it was discovered that those travellers 'across the road' had a coffee machine, kettle, fridge... the rest of us had nothing but a bed and bathroom. No fridge to put our food for the train trip - was told by hotel staff to put our bag of food on the ledge outside our window, will be cold enough! Agro hotel staff were not helpful or sympathetic at all.
Cosmos needs to book a different hotel in future. Also this hotel was the provider of the second group dinner as part of our tour package. It was the most disgusting meal we have ever had. McDonalds two doors down the road did a booming trade that night. The third dinner in the tour package was supposed to be the farewell dinner on our arrival back in Zurich - it did not happen and no explanation or apology was given. The obvious attempt to cut corners did nothing but damage the Cosmos brand. There are lots of tour companies that run Swiss rail tours, Cosmos needs to lift their game.

We had a great trip and all aspects of the tour were well organised. While there was a fair amount of information that we had to provide for each component of the trip and visas had to be sought from the Canadian and the United States governments the outcome was well worth the effort. We would certainly utilise Global Journeys and Georgie if we consider a further holiday.
We truly enjoyed this trip, our first with Cosmos. Special thanks to Ines Turro our tour director, very knowledgeable and accommodating. Unfortunately we missed Alhambra complex due to some technicality but Ines tried to make it up with a mini tour. Our tour group was a happy bunch, still keeping touch after our tour, sharing pictures. Would love to read more book for another holiday when time permits.
We have been wanting to do this tour for some time and it didn't disappoint; because of the long winter, most of the lakes and fjords in Norway were frozen and it was such a spectacular sight. Booking with Global Journeys was easy and Hannah was very efficient, helping us each step of the way. Our TD was very friendly and knowledgeable. The hotels read more were comfortable although out of the way in some cities. Would have been nice to have had a central hotel in Oslo given the short time spent there. The included dinners were hit and miss - breakfasts were simple but good variety. Most memorable day would be when we were in Fagernes and it snowed!

We enjoyed our first trip to Japan. Everyone in the group were pleasantly nice to each other. Our tour guide Akiko was knowledgeable and helpful. We saw more places that we would if we did it on our own. Our highlight of the trip was seeing the view of Mount Fuji.
