Tour was full on and our tour guide Liz was so informative and our coach driver George was brilliant. Highly recommend, you see and hear so much about the history and legends of Ireland. Only negative was I wasn't fully aware of all the extra costs involved. eg. Blarney Castle was part of the tour but not the entry into it. A group photo is done but read more we are not told there is a cost if you want it. The group I was with were mostly mature aged (well over 45) bar 3 people and you would need to be fairly physically well, as there is some walking involved and a lot of getting in and out of the coach steps. Hotels were basic and the food was good.
It was a very good experience travelling with the tour group, with an excellent tour guide throughout the trip as well as really competent and flexible guides in the city tours. In Zagreb, we arrived in the middle of a thunderstorm, and our city guide was sensible enough to show us the most important and interesting parts of the city in the limited read more time we had there. I'd travel again with your company, if I wanted that type of tour.
My first tour and it was fabulous. The American people were all so polite and helpful. David (our driver) kept icy cold water for us to purchase at a nominal fee and he kept us all safe with his superb driving. Todd (our tour director) was terrific.
An excellent overview of the US, the geology was amazing

Trans-American Adventure

This tour was an excellent overview of the US. My family group was aged 15, 39, 57 and 62 and we found something for everyone everywhere we stayed. Shopping, markets, theatre, car shows, museums and aquariums filled up our free time to explore the cities. We also had early nights in the middle of the tour where we just enjoyed dinner at our hotel. This read more was a great tour. Our baggage was not the only thing that came back heavier! Sure there were plenty of healthy options like Subway, fruit vendors and Panda Express but we couldn't say no to giant pretzels and deep dish pizza. Our director told us where to find the best steak, desserts etc. everywhere we stopped. The optional dinners were great value and many had a history to share or beautiful views. My favourite days were when we travelled out of the cities to the National Parks. The countryside was very different to what we see here in Australia. The geology was amazing.
Travelling Solo I had to be sure everything was well planned. I arranged everything over the Internet and was pleased with how easy this was. My Consultant ( Yvonne) responded to my emails promptly. The tour was very well planned and scheduled. The Tour Director Todd looked after all of the daily organisation and we all enjoyed his sense of humour which read more created a pleasant atmosphere for the journey. My friends and associates ask me how I enjoyed my holiday and I genuinely respond 'The trip was great, really great' said with a fond heart and fantastic memories.
A great life time memory 5
Lin Williams, Australia, Sep 2013
Overall, this tour has been a great life time memory. My husband and I have never done a tour before and never been a big fan either, it's only because of some personal reasons that we couldn't organize the trip ourselves then I suggested to go with this tour and I can say I have not regretted it even a little bit and we were very impressed with this read more tour. Our tour director Zsolt is fabulous, he is very funny, organized and helpful. He is also very calm, down to earth and good at problem solving. Especially when comes to deal with people who always have 'special needs'. I adore his patience. We enjoyed most of the places we visited. The itinerary was very good. What we liked the best was that we usually got a whole afternoon for ourselves at most places, which is great for people who are adventurous and it is nice to get away from the big crowd at times. Lucky for us, we had a wonderful group of people which made the whole trip even better and fun. The age diversity was awesome - we had a 12 year old young girl, some young people around 20s and also a lovely lady who was over 80. It all worked out very well, everyone tried to keep up and we were never really delayed because of anyone who was late. I highly recommend the All About Europe tour (previously named European Masterpiece). From my point of view, it's like you can have a little taste of everything. It's just great that we visited all these countries in one go. This was our first visit to Europe and we think the value for money on this tour is absolutely unbeatable. We could not have done all the things we've done by ourselves. It's not only money, but also all the long distance driving. I have to thank our dedicated driver Antonio, he provided so much comfort on this trip. While we were snoozing away he had to drive long distances. I also have to mention the company policy is great that every 2 hours we all get a break and get to freshen up. It is a very smart way to break up some of the long days, it also ensures the driver gets rest between each stops. In conclusion, my husband and I had a really good time and would like to say thank you and would highly recommend this tour to everyone.
Very well thought out and delivered

We are both very happy with the tour. The tour guide, Sonja, and driver Conrad were absolutely fabulous. Hotels were all excellent. And the actual tour 6070 is very well thought out and delivered.
Very happy with the tour 2
Kathy Wallace, Australia, Sep 2013
Overall was very happy with the Prague, Vienna & Budapest Tour. The tour bus was very comfortable (although a little strange that it had a toilet on board that we weren't encouraged to use - however adequate stops meant it not really necessary) and the seat rotation worked well. Our Tour Director, Anna, was wonderful. She kept us well informed and read more was very approachable with questions. Likewise our driver, Mauritzio, was skilled at getting around in European traffic conditions. Couldn't fault them and how the tour was conducted by them. The hotels we stayed at were all of a higher standard than I had anticipated, except for perhaps the one in Budapest which was adequate but not as nice. Although most were out of the city centre, Anna always provided details if we needed to get there in any spare time. Having taken up most of the optional excursions though, there wasn't much free time. This meant that in most places there wasn't a lot of time to actually go inside museums etc but was adequate to get an overview of places. I thought the one night in Vienna wasn't enough. It is such a beautiful city that it would have been good to have been able to spend another night there. One of the highlights was the dinner cruise in Budapest. Absolutely spectacular with the way the buildings are lit up. On our tour because we had a couple of 2 nights in places, it meant we didn't always have a really early start. The long drive from Budapest to Salzburg was at least broken with a wonderful stop at Melk Abbey - would have loved more time there too! The Sounds of Music optional excursion was a little disappointing with many of the main spots I wanted to see not included and there was no singing/music on the coach to put us in the mood! It could have been incorporated into a general Salzburg city excursion instead I think. Finally would love to say that all communications with our Global Journeys Tour Consultant, Georgie, were easy and every question promptly answered. I would highly recommend using Global Journeys and would recommend doing another Cosmos tour, although next time would try a tour that had longer stop overs in places so that I had more time to explore the city.
We had a terrific tour in Turkey. People, food and tour sights were well worth it and I'd recommend Turkey as a great place to travel.
This tour was very scenic. Not very impressed with some of the optional tours and especially value for money. Tour leader was a little hard to understand at times.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our Guide was terrific as was our Driver. Accommodation was very good. Our hotel room was really good in Slasomaggiore. Dinner was excellent with good variety however breakfasts were basic with the same for each of the five mornings with no variety. Content of the tour was very good and accommodation in Lake Maggiore read more was excellent. Optional excursions were enjoyable.
Georgie's friendly professionalism was much appreciated and we will consider using Global Journeys again. We greatly enjoyed the tour and the on-board commentary of our exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful tour guide, Flo. Accommodation was generally adequate and we were pleasantly surprised by the comfort and location of one or two of the hotels. read more (Ed: Review based on slightly different itinerary. Trip name and itinerary updated this season)
A great way to have an overview of many countries 1
Dianne Crouch, Australia, Sep 2013
A great way to have an overview of many countries. We were able to see the tourist sights of interest and we can now decide which places we would like to revisit in depth. The tour pace was fairly quick but not undoable. As this was the first time that we had been on one of these trips and being Australian we were not aware of the tip due to our driver read more and tour leader (not that they did not deserve one), however, this was a surprise that we had not budgeted for and it would have been helpful if we had known in advance.
We have no complaints & enjoyed every day on the tour 1
Janice Hine, Australia, Sep 2013
Home safe & sound from a fantastic European Trip with Cosmos. We safely travelled to 7 countries thanks to our driver. Our Tour director was excellent, she had a wide knowledge of all the countries we visited. Nothing was any trouble to her & she made us all feel safe & secure. We have no complaints & enjoyed everyday on the tour. Thank you Cosmos :) read more And also a huge thank you to Georgie our Tour Consultant at Global Journeys :)
Tour covered a good spectrum and the Tour Director was very knowledgeable - if anything there was an overload of information - far too much to absorb and a bit more quiet time on the coach would have been nice. No breakfast included in the USA tours was a nuisance and detracted from the value.
All in all, an excellent trip and one I would happily recommend 3
Maureen King, Australia, Sep 2013
This is a new tour for Cosmos, but has been very well put together. The itinerary covers both well known Canyons and National Parks as well as some not-so-well known, but well worth visiting. Our tour director, Lynn, was well versed in all the areas we visited and was happy to find out information if she didn't know an answer. The bus driver was female read more - and very safe. The camaraderie between the director and driver spread throughout the bus, so that everyone seemed to bond well. The trip was well paced, with sufficient time to oneself for shopping, laundry or just having a nap. We were fortunate in that we managed to avoid floods in the Colorado, but benefited from unexpected waterfalls and desert flowers. It was magical. The accommodation was comfortable and reasonably well placed (bearing in mind we were in country much of the time) with only one being a little below par for 3 star. All in all, an excellent trip and one I would happily recommend.
Amazing. Saw everything we could possibly imagine in 23 days. Very full-on to cram in a Trans-America trip.
Overall we had a great time

Italy's Best
Jenny & Sally Baillie & Karen Gibbons, Australia, Sep 2013
Overall we had a great time. The Tour Director was outstanding and made sure everything ran smoothly and was very attentive to everyone's needs. The itinerary was great - we saw Italy just about from top to bottom and it was very comprehensive. The location of the accommodation left a bit to be desired. (I understand why Cosmos take hotels out of read more town - to keep costs down). In particular the hotel in Venice was literally, and I mean literally, in the middle of corn fields with nothing within walking distance except a supermarket. Was also on a major highway with a constant stream of semi trailers. Only other critcism would be that their 'optional dinners' were sometimes a little overpriced for what you got. In particular, the Venice dinner. At over $100 per head you'd expect something pretty good. Having said that, the Pescatori Island, Lugano and Sorrento dinners/lunches were outstanding. The service pre-tour from Global Journeys was first rate. Very efficient and helpful.
Booking with Global Journeys was smooth and easy. Helpful assistance and feedback. Good inside industry knowledge of Globus tours and the various booking mechanisms. Agent (Yvonne Brooks) responded to all emails and phone calls. This was our first Cosmos bus tour, although we had a Globus tour in the previous year, and we do travel a fair bit, mostly read more independently, and making our own plans and own bookings. Very good overall. Bus good. Driver excellent, a mature local, with a good balanced sense of courtesy, humour and travel knowledge, so that he could make a very good contribution. Guide very good, experienced, balanced, mature and worldly wise, patient, and well organised. Good selection choice by Globus (Cosmos). Able to handle unforeseen situations, and mildly pesky traveller customers, with good manners and sense, offering suggestions rather than giving orders. Our guide gave extensive local knowledge over the PA whilst travelling along, and in an excellent tone and slightly whimsical approach, maintaining the fun atmosphere necessary for good coach travel. The tour plan of towns and sights was very good in type and in time sequence. The tour schedule was a it fast, but most tours of this type are fast to squeeze in all the sights. The tour went to most of the good sights and places to see, and offered most of the good optional excursions which were relevant to the place or area. We saw all the places and sights that more expensive tours went to. Good value for money. This tour had no breakfasts included. This is very important. Most travellers will pay the extra for an included breakfast as it is just so convenient and useful to discuss yesterdays travel and today's prospects. This was the item most discussed by our bus tour. Offered by Cosmos in Europe but not in North America apparently. Most of our fellow bus travellers were happy with our tour. Impressed. We would travel again with Cosmos or Globus. We would recommend both Globus and Global Journeys.
The Highlights of the Canyon lands tour with Cosmos Tours is a well organized and great value trip through the magnificent Grand Canyon, Monumental Valley, Bryce National Park, Lake Powell & Zion National Park. The tour highlights in my opinion would have to be the Grand Canyon, Monumental Valley and Bryce Canyon. These three places were just breathtaking! read more Pictures do not do justice of the true beauty of these places. Our tour guide named Niles was friendly, easy going and very approachable who made the coach trip fun with his witty stories, funny jokes and incredible knowledge of the places that we visited. The driver of our coach was friendly and professional and the coach was kept clean and comfortable at all times. Baggage handlers ensured that our luggage was handled efficiently and with care. The standard of accommodation was excellent and conveniently located. Overall a fabulous trip that I wish my husband and I could do all over again! Just loved it!
