Lots of miles covered in a short period of time. I think it could be just a few days longer and make a couple of the days shorter driving time. A really great tour! Covered plenty in the 23 days from NY to LA. Hotels were better than expected, and motorcoach was first class, although, with 56 seats, there was not much leg-room. Our Coach Captain, Jeff Weeden, was also very obliging despite badly injuring his foot in a fall early in the tour. I am certain that all of our party of 15 persons really enjoyed all aspects of this tour, although, on a personal note, one night in Vegas would have been enough for me.

We had a fantastic holiday with Cosmos. Trans-American New York to Los Angeles. We would highly recommend Cosmos. It was the second trip we have done with them and wouldn't travel any other way. Our Tour Director, Jason was very professional, accommodation very clean and comfortable and a very trustworthy coach driver.

Oh My God. We got home on June 1 and have not stopped talking about our trip. It was fantastic and with all the talk to our friends I would not be surprised if you get enquiries as they were all enthralled with our stories. We were ...read more both very apprehensive as we haven't really been overseas before but need not have been because everything about the trip from the hotels to the Tour Director (Matt) to the bus driver (Rocky) to the bus, to our fellow travellers to the sights... I could just go on and on ... everything made us feel safe, excited and comfortable. Loved it so much we are going to do something similar to Europe! Thank you!

This was my first bus tour and I was a little apprehensive being single on the holiday, This tour has it all big cities, National Parks and then some. I truly believe though that the tour was that much more due to the fantastic driver Eric House and the Tour Director Scott Dworkin. Scott's knowledge, professionalism, character won us all over. It was great that he didn't overdo his history also and gave us time to take in what he was talking about. I can't wait till the next trip I'll definitely be doing this again and I've already let people know how much I've loved this trip. Thanks to Scott also for sorting out my room issues I know he was concerned, but for me it was seamless I didn't know until I over heard a hotel advising their staff.

The whole trip was excellent. Highlights would have been Niagra falls, Mt Rushmore and the Canyons (Bryce, Zion and Grand). We really appreciated Georgie's assistance and advice.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide Russ was very knowledgeable and helpful as was our bus driver, Larry, nothing was too much trouble. The tour was excellent. Our Tour Director Jason was great, a lot of fun and really informative. He said that we had gone at the best time of year, weather wise. Unlike the European tours where you get a single bed, this tour gives you at the minimum a queen size and sometimes a king sized bed. The accommodation was great (3.5-4 stars). Its just a shame breakfasts weren't included each day as I think a lot of people would have paid a little bit more to have that. In Philadelphia as soon as I got off the coach I grabbed a taxi which took me to the Art Museum so I could run up the 'Rocky' steps and then have my photo taken with the Rocky statue. Corny, I know, but it was fun. I jumped back in the taxi and was taken back to the old area for some historical browsing. Chicago is a city that surprised me. I don't think I would have ever considered visiting it, but it was a part of the tour. It was beautiful. The parks had some amazing sculptures in them and it was so clean. Its definitely worth a look.

You are very much on the go, but because you are on the tour you don't really have to line up for anything you just go straight in and its so well organised that you see more in the limited time that you're there, than if you were to spend time there by yourself. This was the third Cosmos tour I've done. In 2011 I did the 16 day Best of Europe followed up with the 12 day Best of Great Britain and Ireland. I know that Cosmos is considered to be a budget tour, but the people you get on the tours are so much fun to be around and its such good value for money, that I personally wouldn't travel with another tour company.

We have not long returned from our Trans-America Adventure Tour which took us from New York to LA with 42 other fantastic Aussies. Doris, our Tour Director was an absolutely delightful lady who was highly knowledgeable of the places we visited, kept us informed and entertained and looked out for our every need whilst on this 23 day tour. Michael our ...read more bus driver was also great, greeting us daily with a warm smile, keeping us safe whilst travelling and ensuring our luggage was delivered to and from our overnight accommodation. Accommodation was varied from 4 star hotels down to quaint log cabins but all were great to stay in, comfortable, clean, well located and memorable for all the right reasons. If you want a holiday that takes you from one side of the USA to the other with everything from big cities to magnificent canyons, forests, lakes, mountains and deserts and the bonus of seeing wild life in their natural habitat then you won't be disappointed. Finding Global Journeys on the internet was also a bonus for us. We have never experienced better customer service than with this company and we cannot thank Frances Carr enough for her professionalism and great service. If I needed to ask a question my emails would be answered within minutes and if I chose to call she always returned my calls as soon as she was able. On top of the fantastic service we received from Global Journeys, their prices are heaps cheaper than if we had gone to a local travel agent. Our documents arrived well before our departure and all details correct. Thank you so much Frances and Global Journeys.

Our Cosmos tour of the US was amazing. Our tour director was very helpful and very friendly. I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone looking to see as much of America as possible. Couldn't fault any hotel or city tour. Can't wait to join Global Journeys in 2013 to experience another wonderful part of this world I live in.

Excellent value for money. Great tour, very well organised, excellent tours included and offered as optionals. Coach very comfortable, free Wi-Fi on board a definite bonus. Hotels all good, tour guide good. Was a bit dubious of doing a coach tour but we thoroughly enjoyed it, would definitely do another one and would recommend Cosmos.

The tour was very diverse and good value for money. The Tour Director was excellent and every day had maps for us of the area we were travelling in. I still don't know why Cosmos take you to the north rim of the Grand Canyon when the south rim is infinitely more superior and awesome. North rim is ho hum. This tour covered the big cities, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles and in between we saw awesome national parks, small towns, prairies and mighty rivers. Lunch and comfort stops were timely.

The coverage of the country in the time given was very good. Accommodation was comfortable and often well situated. Rooms for a single traveller were very spacious and comfortable. Only thought was by the time we got back to LA, everyone needed to do washing which was difficult at a very posh LA hotel, or anywhere downtown. Another hotel, another area might have been better. Were just a little disappointed at how our tour ended leaving us stranded on an optional tour at Universal Studios having to find our own way home. This was something we were not aware of until the end of the trip and left us a little amazed. We met in NY then did 23 days across to LA via Cody Yellowstone etc. My husband was especially apprehensive about the coach, other passengers, and the content. However, we were delighted with a coach that was 4 months old and Eric our driver cleaned and polished everything on the coach every day. Some of the optional extras we wouldn't do again especially the fake Mississippi river cruise boat and very average meal. With 23 days on a tour bus we didn't know how we would enjoy it, but to our delight we loved every minute of it and we weren't ready for it to end. She handled the challenges that occasionally presented themselves in a very professional way and her knowledge of the places we were visiting was excellent, right down to the perfect movie on the bus relating to the area we had just visited. We had a great bunch of fellow travelers from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and England, some of whom we are still in touch with and with ages from 20s to 70s it was a lot of fun.

Had a great time traveled 10,171kms and saw some spectacular scenery, even got to see a grizzly bear cross the road in front of coach. Best value trip we have ever been on, hotels were excellent. The tour was excellent! It was very well organised. It covered a lot of amazing cities and the best scenery. Everybody was happy and amazed at how beautiful the country is.
