Very much enjoyed this tour. Reasonably priced, excellent tour guide, comfy coach and great driver. Accommodation was largely better than expected. We all enjoyed our trip through USA and the highlights including Niagra Falls Canada. We were concerned about a 23 day coach tour however it went well. Our driver and tour director ensured frequent stops and we had a good mix of mostly Australians, a few Kiwis and and Brits. Our trip didn't include San Francisco so some of us added this to the end ...read more of the tour. Not sure it was worth it! Be prepared for the different eating habits of the Americans (high fat and sugar) so we picked up fresh fruit and nut snacks when we could. Also Wallmart and Whole Foods stores were a bonus when you can find them - excellent quality.

I think all travellers to the USA should be prepared for the tax and tipping which adds considerably to the cost. We also paid approx. $270 American per head to the driver and Tour Director at the end of the tour. Some of the elderly travelers were concerned as it amounted to over $600 AU which they hadn't budgeted for. I would recommend Cosmos as very professional and efficient. Our trip started in New York at the end of May 2017 and was 23 days long. The journey was really one long highlight, so many wow moments. Accommodation was of a good standard. There were really only two low points - firstly the lack of breakfast created difficulties as we often started early - it was so great the few times it was provided - it was a major drawback. And the other - the coach was beautiful and comfortable but had only one door at the front so loading was very slow off the coach to view the many highlights, and some people being older are quite slow moving - it did create some bad feeling among the passengers. We have done another Cosmos tour this year, Apulia region in southern Italy, with a two door coach and that was just so much better - easy access on and off. The Apulia trip was wonderful too - highly recommend this to everyone.

The fellow travelers were a good mix, lot of laughs and friendships made my most. We did all but one of the Optionals and enjoyed them all. In regard to the weather it is changeable all over the world so always pack thermals and dress with layers. Disappointed that there was no return bus from the Mall of America this was an inclusion of the tour. People ...read more had to get 2 trains to return back or taxis. Seat rotation was up to Jason's discretion hence some people got the front seats others were moved out of sequence and missed the front seats twice. Very disappointed and saddened for the elderly people who missed the front seat.

As repeat customers of Cosmos, we were very pleased with our coach holiday across the USA. The schedule was busy as there was a lot to see and experience. A free day now and again worked well. Their sharing of their knowledge both cultural and local as we traveled contributed very enormously (I realise) to the enjoyment of the holiday. One bonding development on the coach was the collecting and swapping of the 50 or so US State Emblem issued quarter dollar coins. The outlay was minimal and the gathering continued regardless of location. Non-gatherers had free entertainment just watching the gatherers. We travelled through the colour cycle of leaves and saw just about every living critter and much more besides.

We loved this trip. Everything fully organised for us. The commentary was relevant and very informative. The coach was clean and modern with a great driver.

Global Journeys handled my booking very well. The tour exceeded my expectations. It doesn't come better than that. Doris our tour guide was fantastic. She was very informative and approachable and the whole tour went like clockwork.

Had a great time in the USA with the highlights being the boat ride out to the bottom of Niagara Falls and visiting the National Parks. Our 3rd booking with Global Journeys and will be back for a 4th, have never had any problems!

What an awesome trip, saw everything that I wanted to see and then some. Our tour guide Doris was great made everyone feel part of the tour family even those that were a bit challenging :) As a biscuit tin sampler of the US, I would highly recommend this tour to give you a glimpse of all the USA has to offer. My only very minor gripe was that when on the road the site-seeing was a bit rushed at times mainly due to some food rest stops seeming to be in some odd places and overly long when there were clearly better equipped places with more facilities just down the road, Long food stops leaves less time for the site seeing stops. Overall though this tour was well worth the money, the accommodations were just fine it was well organised.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip across the USA, we were lucky enough to travel with 46 great people from the UK, Aus, and NZ. Some of the days spent on the road were quite long, but we were covering huge distances so was to be expected. Our accommodation was highly satisfactory with regards to comfort and cleanliness. Allison, our Tour Director was very knowledgeable and funny and made the trip interesting during time on the coach. Jeff, our Coach Driver was brilliant, kept us hydrated and candied-up as well as being a fantastic driver. We were very happy with the Optionals we chose to do. My only reservation is that I feel the tour itself needs to be slightly longer by 2-3 days. The consensus on the coach was that we needed another 2 night stay somewhere or make Las Vegas and Chicago 3 night stays.

I did the Trans-American tour with an extension in Honolulu. Everything went smoothly from start to finish, the trip was exhausting so it was good to have some free time to either relax or explore. Alison our tour guide was very informative and gave us a lot of interesting commentaries on the places we visited. Going to Hawaii at the end of the tour was just a wonderful way to relax before heading home, thanks to Roby for his advice on things to see and do.

Most of the hotels we stayed in were good except the one in Pierre which was below the standard. Overall a very positive experience and happy to we took this particular tour to USA.

We had a great time on this tour which was led wonderfully well by Doris, our Tour Director, who even made the hours in the coach interesting when there wasn't much scenery to look at. This is our third holiday with Cosmos. This one was amazing, the places we thought we would never see if travelling by ourselves. Our tour director Susannah was excellent as was our bus driver George. Our fellow travellers were warm and friendly. Generally this was a well put together tour with good additional sight seeing opportunities which were reasonably priced. The tour director and driver were excellent, helpful and knowledgeable. Generally accommodation was good to very good and some excellent. Perhaps the biggest accommodation let down was at Jackson where we had a dark room with no ...read more natural light, door lock was awful making access a long challenge, and the toilet cistern ran all night. Two nights here spoiled all the other positive accommodation provided.

Value for money coach trip. We traversed some 4600 miles across the USA from New York to Los Angeles. There were 49 guests on board the coach. The coach driver (Dennis) was excellent. The tour director was knowledgeable and cheerful. Hotels were generally of a high quality but some were not centrally located. There were several long days on the coach ...read more but this was offset by the many wonderful sites we visited. Highlights for me included Niagra Falls, The Smithsonian museums, Mount Rushmore and Chicago, Make sure to take your camera on this trip!

Amazing holiday, great sights, Tour Director Todd was very good. Met some good people and good value for money. Our third Cosmos Tour now. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing tour through America. The pace was fast but we were aware it would be to see so much in such a short time. I had a great trip on this tour, saw everything I wanted to see, more time in some places would have been good, but time is always the constraint on these kind of trips. The fact our bus wasn't full was good as well, as it gave every one a bit more room to move about. It is a long tour and it's tiring but well worth it. My highlights were the National Parks, and the friendly people in the Midwest.
