The tour was awesome. Although when we were there the Government shut down, so we missed stopping at Mt Rushmore and the Grand Canyon, which was very disappointing. The tour director Russ, was very good at organising alternative routes and places to see. The bus driver John was great also, going very slow past Mt Rushmore for us to get some great pics. read more The accommodation was good, mostly clean and comfortable. I would definitely book with Global Journeys and travel with Cosmos again in the future.

My first tour and it was fabulous. The American people were all so polite and helpful. David (our driver) kept icy cold water for us to purchase at a nominal fee and he kept us all safe with his superb driving. Todd (our tour director) was terrific.

This tour was an excellent overview of the US. My family group was aged 15, 39, 57 and 62 and we found something for everyone everywhere we stayed. Shopping, markets, theatre, car shows, museums and aquariums filled up our free time to explore the cities. We also had early nights in the middle of the tour where we just enjoyed dinner at our hotel. This read more was a great tour. Our baggage was not the only thing that came back heavier! Sure there were plenty of healthy options like Subway, fruit vendors and Panda Express but we couldn't say no to giant pretzels and deep dish pizza. Our director told us where to find the best steak, desserts etc. everywhere we stopped. The optional dinners were great value and many had a history to share or beautiful views. My favourite days were when we travelled out of the cities to the National Parks. The countryside was very different to what we see here in Australia. The geology was amazing.

Travelling Solo I had to be sure everything was well planned. I arranged everything over the Internet and was pleased with how easy this was. My Consultant ( Yvonne) responded to my emails promptly. The tour was very well planned and scheduled. The Tour Director Todd looked after all of the daily organisation and we all enjoyed his sense of humour which read more created a pleasant atmosphere for the journey. My friends and associates ask me how I enjoyed my holiday and I genuinely respond 'The trip was great, really great' said with a fond heart and fantastic memories.

Amazing. Saw everything we could possibly imagine in 23 days. Very full-on to cram in a Trans-America trip.

Cosmos may be a cheaper option than some companies but our tour couldn't be faulted. We had the best guide I have ever experienced (and this was my sixth Cosmos tour) and a great bus driver with a clean and comfortable bus. The hotels were all excellent except for one and the only problem there was the smell of stale cigarette smoke in our non-smoking read more room. Our complaint was passed on to management by the tour guide. All the hotels were in excellent locations, better than those we experienced in Europe where some were quite a way out of town. The tour itself was a good mix of cities and country - with most of the non-city sightseeing being in a wide variety of National Parks. The pace was just a little too fast for us, although fine for the younger travellers. It would have been OK had we not chosen to do so many of the optional extras. These were all great but did not leave much time to do our own thing.

Thoroughly enjoyed the trip it was very full on but to see all that we saw I can understand why it was so full on overall it was amazing for what it cost would recommend to my friends.

I enjoyed this tour very much. Our driver was very good and the tour director I consider to be exceptional. Todd was on top of things throughout and obviously spent a good deal of his own time each evening, organising onboard entertainment and information relating to our next destination. We were never bored on the coach. Todd was always patient and read more helpful with any queries we might have. I felt the tour covered as many interesting attractions as was possible, given the time constraints and the great distance travelled in 23 days. The National Parks were a highlight for me. I will certainly recommend this trip to friends and look forward to travelling again with Global Journeys.

It gives you a great insight to the east coast & the west coast of America and the vast contrasts of mountain and prairie lands of the mid west. We have not read more met anyone who is not amazed by the South Dakota Plains of Indian Sioux Territory. You are right there experiencing all of what history had to offer from the heights of the Grand Canyon to the depths of the Badlands in the Colorado Plateau. A special thank you to Global Journeys for their professional dealings in all aspects of our trip - right down to delivery of our documents and tickets to our home address in Sydney. This is the first time we have ever booked a trip online and we thought it might be a daunting experience. It could not be further from the truth. Cosmos could not have been more helpful if they had tried. We have travelled with Cosmos on many read more occasions as a couple and with groups of people and found this 23 day trip from east to west just amazing. The tour director Scotts knowledge of the many amazing places we visited was incredible and we were very fortunate to have the most wonderful and careful bus driver in John. We had a great holiday with our adventure across the USA. Great tour guide with Scott and great bus driver in John. Lots of laughs and great sense of humour. Saw so many places and enjoyed each day. Long days on the coach but is the only way to get across the country in the set time. Will travel with Cosmos again and looking forward to our next holiday.

Was excellent the tour was well organized. My only gripe was that the coach had a comfort stop every 2 hours (We just wanted to get there!). Word of advice - plenty of free time to do your own thing and as the organized optional activities can be a bit pricey - plan your free time in advance!

Doris was an above average to excellent tour guide and Dennis the bus driver was also above average to excellent we no have complaints at all. The trip was frantic and fantastic. We got more than we thought possible for the price. Except for the accommodation in the cabins and Cody which was nowhere near the standard we had become accustomed by the read more rest of the accommodation. We were more than happy with what we saw & where we went, and how much fun it all was thanks to Doris and Dennis. We would recommend this tour to any who would like to see America. And we will no doubt go with Cosmos again.

There is only one complaint and that was our accommodation in Cody (US) but every where else was really good. The pace was a bit fast but we did see a lot of the country so that how it has to be. Overall our trip was very good and our tour director was exceptional as well as our coach driver. Would definitely recommend it.

This was a fabulous tour. Our tour director Doris was fantastic. I met some great people and I am sure we will remain friends for a long time to come. Global Journeys was awesome so I will definitely use you again. I am already researching my next trip. Just need to save some funds.

Very well organised. Great tour director. Heaps to see and mostly in reasonable time. Good value for money. Great accommodation. Comfortable coach and long days on the road not overly boring or unbearable. Plenty of comfort stops. Couldn't fault anything. Would definitely do this tour again, would love to see Yellowstone in Winter. Was amazing seeing read more the National Parks, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Bryce Canyon, Mt Zion, loved the atmosphere at 'Grand Canyon' did optional helicopter tour to floor of Canyon (just amazing!), Badlands, Jackson, Cedar City, Niagara Falls (experienced 'Maid of the Mist'). Henry Ford Museum is something else! Las Vegas is good fun and I will return. Farewell dinner at Santa Monica Pier was enjoyable even though it was sad saying farewell to fellow travellers at end of tour, but have wonderful memories! Will definitely choose Global Journeys & Cosmos again soon.

This was our first trip with such a large group, but we found it very good after settling in with our fellow travellers, mostly Australian. We had a brilliant tour director in Russ Marcason, a retired teacher from Chicago, complemented by an equally brilliant driver, David Krug. They contributed to our overall enjoyment and provided us with much education read more as well as a lot of fun. The accommodation was better than expected at all stopovers, except Cody where the otherwise adequate and comfortable cabins were a bit smelly. One irritant was the space between the seats on the coach, which were not comfortable for long-legged travellers. A coach with a centre door would have been convenient, too. But, overall, an excellent trip across a big country.

Overall we have no complaints. Some very long days travelling, we sometimes felt they were just filling in time before we got to our accommodation for the night. Some days it would have been nice to get to our accommodation say about 4:00pm for time to relax before having to find somewhere to eat. Also some locations we would have like the full day read more to enjoy where we where. Chicago and Niagara falls. The National Parks were great. Would have be better in we stayed right in the park at Yellowstone in cabins. We felt that the hotel in LA (Sportsmen's Lodge) was too far out, the people on the desk were not very forthcoming with what to see and how to get about, although it was nice to have to pool to relax after 23 days on the go. Overall the accommodation was what we expected for a low cost tour. We would certainly consider Cosmos again.

A very good tour, plenty to see and do. A couple of days were tiring due to the long distances covered, but this was to be expected. The tour director and the driver were also very good, both very communicative, friendly and helpful. The highlights for myself and my wife were the beautiful National Parks. We did also enjoy Chicago and the smaller cities. read more I could not fault the accommodation and the hotel staff were pleasant to deal with. All in all a good trip.
