Just what I needed!   2 , QLD, Australia, Aug 2019
I took this tour in August 2019 on my own which is something that I've never done before. The tour was extremely well organised and we stayed in the best of hotels. Nothing was too much trouble. It is very difficult to say what the highlight of the tour was - Vancouver Island, Whistler, Jasper, Athabasca Glacier, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Banff, read more the Rocky Mountaineer, the cruise to Alaska and all the beautiful places we docked at on the way. I highly recommend this tour.
Spectacular Scenery in the Canadian Rockies and Alaska   6 , NSW, Australia, Aug 2018
The Butchart Gardens in Victoria were spectacular at this time of year. The awesome sight of glaciers - such as the Athabasca Glacier that we walked on in the Rockies; the multiple glaciers in Glacier Bay (some calving off into the ocean as we watched); and the Mendenhall Glacier near Juneau - were unforgettable. Watching a young mother black bear lead read more her two cubs along the shore as we paddled along Blue River was a thrill.

The old gold-rush town of Skagway was delightful. And the trip to the Misty Fjords, out of Ketchikan, was also memorable. These highlights - together with the unique perspective of stunning and varied scenery from two days in a bubble-top carriage on the Rocky Mountaineer - made the entire 22 day journey a trip of a lifetime.

It was an ideal time of year to travel; we had the benefit of two very good APT tour escorts - one on the land tour and another for the cruise; and only minor downside for us was that the pace was a little hectic. However, the overall experience was very enjoyable - and very much worth doing!
Amazing and unforgettable experience 11 , NSW, Australia, Apr 2018
From the professional and friendly service from Jemma (at Global Journeys), through to our wonderful APT land tour director, Zita and Stephanie, our cruise guide, the trip was an amazing and unforgettable experience.

It was everything we imagined and hoped for, being further enhanced by a great group of people that we toured with. We highly recommend read more the tour/cruise, hence the excellent rating in all categories.
Takes the cake! 7 , NSW, Australia, Aug 2017
We have had 8 overseas cruises and land trips and can say without doubt this APT Canada and Alaska 22 day holiday takes the cake. Cruise Director Willo Jones impressed with her knowledge of history and British Columbia and was most helpful in all aspects. A credit to APT. The APT staff on our Holland America cruise were excellent ambassadors. All in read more all a great trip made even more enjoyable by interaction between fellow travellers.
This trip was brilliant and the scenery was truly amazing. 3 , VIC, Australia, Aug 2017
This is our first time with APT and would definitely travel with them again. Most of our accommodation was first class as was the beautiful food, great tour director (Jennet) and the driver (Mark) they really added to the enjoyment of the trip. We would have preferred a smaller tour group, however having said that the organisation went so smoothly, read more it really wasn't a problem. This is our first time with Global journeys with Yvonne and I would definitely book through them again as the service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble.
Canada and Alaska - What an Odyssey   7 , VIC, Australia, Jun 2017
What a trip - we all had a ball, our touring party were great bunch of people from all over Australia. Our tour guide Nancy Fletcher and Coach driver Les were truly professional through and through. Our most popular highlight was without a doubt the 2 Day Rocky Mountaineer "Gold Leaf". The entire Train crew spoiled us all so much we felt like Royals read more by the finish. From day 1 the whole trip went off without a hitch and we put this down to our agent Hannah Campbell at Global Journeys, our second trip handled by Hannah and will not be the last.
Exciting trip through the Rockies and Alaska 4 , TAS, Australia, May 2016
I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Canada with APT. The online booking was very simple to follow ensuring that any mistakes on the part of the client were picked up and addressed. All our experiences were exactly as stated in the information guide. Our tour director was a mine of information and through his conversations we all learned a great deal read more about Canada and the local wildlife, geography and customs. The hotels were of a very high standard and we all enjoyed magnificent views from our room. Highlights were standing on a glacier and drinking the melting water - only a few people in the world experience this. Seeing the snow capped mountains and bears emerging from hibernation and enjoying the dandelions was delightful also. The Rocky Mountaineer was a wonderful highlight. We were all made to feel very special and the cuisine and service on board was unsurpassed. APT has an excellent reputation and from my personal experience is probably one of the best tour companies currently operating.
18 Day Majestic Rockies & Alaska Cruise (APT) 3 , ACT, Australia, Apr 2016
We enjoyed the tour as a whole. Unfortunately, David's Alzheimer's reared it's ugly head, which had a direct effect on the tour - we were unable to fully participate in all activities as we may have otherwise. Our tour guide, Nancy Fletcher, was particularly understanding, & allowed me to concentrate on David's mental comfort. Our group were very read more nice, a broad mix of backgrounds and interests. The weather was particularly kind to us, I understand, which was an added bonus! One member of our group, Keven, was taken to hospital from Vancouver Airport before we made our return flight. I do hope all is well with him, particularly as he was travelling solo. Two areas were of some slight concern - Via Rail did not live up to its reputation as one of Canada's attractions. Facilities for a full complement of passengers were rather basic, particularly in the organization of dining, and the fact that the hot water was not turned on for a number of carriages, resulting in cold/no showers for some of us. Also, our final day in Seattle was less than perfect, possibly a brief guided tour could be incorporated to break a very long, drawn out day of waiting. While Pike Street Market is undeniably interesting, not for 6 hours plus at the end of a three week tour!
You get what you pay for 3 , WA, Australia, May 2015
Was a wonderful holiday. The scenery in Canada was exceptional and the tour and cruise were top shelf. APT are expensive, but you get what you pay for. Top price...Top tour.
Value of tour was very good 2 , WA, Australia, May 2015
The value of tour and the received service was very good. This was made better by the overall cost of the tour quoted by Global Journeys. Cheaper than APT's quote. All communication was undertaken online and by email. Even though answers to questions asked were slow the service and response by Yvonne Brooks was more than adequate.
