Northern Territory must do experiences and highlights
Kings Canyon Rim Walk
Follow a spectacular circuit showcasing the colourful canyon walls, the lush foliage of the Garden of Eden, and the sandstone domes of The Lost City as you hike Kings Canyon.
Cruise Katherine Gorge
This breathtaking collection of 13 gorges stretches along 12km (7.5mi) where you can wind your way between sheer rock faces shooting more than 70m (230ft) toward the sky.
Kata Tjuta (The Olgas)
Marvel at the rock formations as you explore this intriguing site, weaving between the domes on foot or perhaps take to the sky for a panoramic view by helicopter.
Changing Colours of Uluru
Watch as the dark silhouette is set ablaze at sunrise, spreading a warm glow much like your coffee in hand does. At sunset the colours are electric, a perfect setting to bid farewell to a day in the Red Centre.
Kakadu National Park
Travel through floodplains and marvel at sheer gorges, tumbling waterfalls, and Aboriginal rock art. Spot wildlife as you cruise the Yellow Water Billabong and be transported back some 20,000 years at the galleries of Ubirr.

What our clients are saying about their Red Centre and Top End journeys
This tour was from Uluru to Alice Springs over 7 days. Our tour guide/driver, Geery was an amazing guy whose knowledge and lifetime experience in the area gave us an insight into life in the region. Uluru was one place I have always wanted to visit and getting up close to the rock was a great experience. Accommodation and the meals at Sails was superb. read more We then had a couple of days at Kings Canyon before moving onto Alice and spending the day walking through the MacDonnell Ranges. Great experience walking into Simpson's Gap and Standley Chasm. Our last night was spent at the Outback Bush BBQ, a great way to end the tour. Thank you to Hannah from Global Journeys for organising this tour for me.
Our holiday on the Ghan was wonderful. The staff on the train were fantastic and I would give them 10 out of 10. My family and I were in carriage C1 and C2. Hannah is lovely and nothing is too much trouble for her to deal with. I have booked through her before, and definitely will again.
This was an amazing trip. We saw great landscapes and wildlife. Since it was a combination trip, we had 2 different CEOs but the were both amazing. A note to those doing the Red Centre, the accommodations are tented sites with no electricity in the tents and quite a walk to the restrooms/ showers. Had I fully understood this, I probably would have taken an alternative trip.
Travelling to the Northern Territory and particularly Kakadu National Park is something that I wanted to do for some time. I enjoyed the trip even though it was sizzling hot and humid. We were a group of 12 on the tour from different countries and we all got along very well. The Aboriginal art rock was very interesting. But I would have liked more interaction read more with the First Nation people. And yes, I liked the city of Darwin too.
The start of this tour began with Tracey - a great beginning for any travel plans! As always, proactive and responsive with any advice or assistance needed.
This was a wonderful tour from the start in Darwin to my finish in Broome. It ticked a number of the wonderful bucket list items Australia offers. The group was a friendly, engaging one and more read more than ably led by Tour Director Sue and Coach Captain Jaime. Apparently the first time they had worked together and certainly an ‘A Team’. Very interested and caring of all on board. The tour was most enjoyable, fun, smooth, with plenty of information provided to make the most of the experiences and areas/places we went through. So many highlights – among them Kununurra, the Durack Homestead and El Questro.
A number of us were unaware of optional tours available. I had privately prebooked the Horizontal Falls tour in Broome before leaving home and was able to get a seat on the Bungle Bungles optional flight. These were not included in the tour and though expensive are a 'must do' if at all possible. This is a tour I would certainly recommend. However more advance information provided re optional opportunities would be very helpful.
