We really enjoyed our 'Best Of Italy' tour with Trafalgar. The tour director and driver were the best, as were the tour guides for the daily and optional excursions. Our bus was brand new and kept in immaculate condition throughout the tour. ...read more There were 44 of us on a 51-seater coach and it was great to meet people from other parts of the world. We all got on very well and made some new friends who we will continue to stay in touch with. While we enjoyed everything we saw, Lake Maggiore and San Gimignano were special places that I wouldn't hesitate to go back to and spend more time at. We did all the optional excursions, and I would recommend doing that, as they provide an opportunity to see much more of the country than would otherwise be possible. This is the third coach tour I have completed while travelling overseas and I have no hesitation in saying that Trafalgar have been the best.

Would absolutely recommend the Best of Italy tour. This was my first tour and although I knew it would be good, it exceeded my expectations. Though we have been to Italy four times before, this tour was most enjoyable, Trafalgar tour director was very well informed, pleasant and compassionate. Had an excellent time on my Best of Italy tour! The tour director (Pamela) was so knowledgeable and a lovely person. The whole group (all Americans except for me from Australia) were a really friendly bunch and we got on so well. Hotels were very nice, maybe one not as good, but all very clean. Very happy with the Best of Italy tour that my wife and I did in May, we were concerned about being in a tour for 13 days, but the pace was very manageable with free time. Happily recommend Global Journeys and the Best of Italy (Trafalgar) tour to persons interested in a good immersive experience into the Italian way of living. Can suggest keeping a couple of extra days in Rome or to another excursion after the tour to cool it off Italian style before leaving.

Good trip and experience, very knowledgeable Tour Director. The only downside is all the walking especially for a person like me. Maybe the trip should be rated on physical activity from 1 to 5. 5 being the highest and 1 being the lowest. (GJ. Good idea Beverley, it's in development as we speak!)

This bus tour certainly showed us the Best of Italy. We thought the locations were great, the accommodation was generally very good and situated in good proximity so the best advantage could be taken of free time. Would skip the optional tour of St Mark's Basilica and the secrets of Venice walk around - not enough time in the cathedral. Our highlights were St Peter's In Rome, the Isle of Capri and Lake Maggiore and Lake Como. Global Journeys made the booking process easy.

Our Trafalgar tour of Italy took us to all the places we wanted to go, without the hassle of arranging our own transport or hotels. It was a huge advantage to skip the long lines at attractions and also to know our luggage was taken care of while in transit. There were some early mornings but overall the pace was great and made sure we saw as much as possible. We were very impressed by the organisation of both the trip and by the daily operation within the trip. Everything was done and instructions were quite clear. Once again Trafalgar have provided a great hassle free trip which explored most of Italy's major tourist attractions. We chose this tour because unlike other tours, it covered most of Italy. The overnight stops were mostly 2 nights which we felt would be more enjoyable than packing every night. Had a fabulous time. This was made more memorable by our Tour Director Marisa Lukovic. She treated us like family and really knew her stuff. Some of the hotels were a bit 'old and tired'.

Very enjoyable trip. Tour Director (Marisa)and Driver (Maurizio) were both wonderful and extremely professional. Standard of the hotel rooms varied from city to city - but generally very good.
