The Best of Eastern Europe 3 Highlights of Eastern Europe , NSW, Australia, Jun 2017
We had a very enjoyable trip which exceeded all expectations. The Insight tour of Eastern Europe was well organised, the accommodation and meals excellent and most importantly our tour guide Greg was an excellent host, and was full of knowledge regarding WW2 and the fall on communism. Was on the go most of the time. Would recommend this tour to see read more a little bit of all countries. Will be using Global Journeys again as the booking process and their knowledge is exceptional.
Jewels of Alaska 1 , NSW, Australia, Jun 2017
Tour guide and driver were professional and friendly. Wildlife was amazing - Denali National Park a "must do". Most rooms were clean, well appointed and lived up to 5star rating - others were disappointingly substandard.
Global Journeys (Hannah) was very helpful and responded promptly to all concerns or questions. Information on optional tours arrived read more too late to book some activities.
We really enjoyed the scenery 1 , NSW, Australia, Jun 2017
We really enjoyed the scenery and the varied attractions ranging from Denali National Park (the train ride into Denali was spectacular) to the scenery of Denali and the excellent inclusion of the 27 glacier cruise. Our tour guide and driver were relaxed and friendly and met all our needs.
Land of waterfalls, glaciers and geysers   7 Natural Wonders of Iceland , NSW, Australia, Jun 2017
We thought mid-summer was a good time of year to visit Iceland but unfortunately it was unseasonably cold and the problem is the beauty of Iceland is much diminished when it is cloudy and raining. The itinerary was good although there were a couple of long driving days with nothing special to see. The accommodation was on the whole good although a couple read more of hotels were below standard - very small room and badly equipped room.

The food included in the tour was excellent, especially the evening meals which comprised a varied selection of fish and seafoods. The breakfasts were also very good. Finding our mid-day lunch posed a problem as most places provided a limited selection of food which was extremely expensive. It was a nice surprise to find the Blue Lagoon had been included in the itinerary and it was a good way to finish the trip.
The perfect way to experience Southern France 7 Country Roads of France , VIC, Australia, Jun 2017
Country Roads of France was my 3rd Insight Vacations tour and the most enjoyable. The accommodation was always centrally located and the best available, our tour director Mark was brilliant, articulate, intelligent and highly professional, our driver Gerard was also superb. This culture tour included wineries with 12th Century cellars, Van Gough's sunflower read more fields, Monet's garden (optional excursion) and Toulouse Lautrec's birth town and museum. For those who love French culture and history this is a sensational way to enjoy it. Just sit back, be taken care of and indulge yourself in the adorable French countryside.
Can't wait to go again 5 Treasures of Spain, Portugal & Morocco , QLD, Australia, Jun 2017
Insight Vacations did a great job planning and executing this trip. Our Tour Director, Dan, was the absolute best and showed everyone a fabulous time on our trip. The bus was comfortable as were the hotels. Most hotels were centrally located and handy to supermarkets etc. The actual tour was fantastic. We were shown the best parts of each city and it read more had a good balance of "tour" time and free time. It would have been better to have had a couple of days in Madrid but other than that enough time was spent in each city and the pace was good.
Wonderful tour in every respect! 7 Northern Capitals , QLD, Australia, Jun 2017
We were hesitant about doing a coach tour as we normally travel independently but felt this would be the best way to see Russia. We did Insight's "Northern Capitals and Russia" tour in July 2017 and we couldn't recommend it highly enough. We booked more than 12 months in advance and were disappointed that we missed out on the Insight "Fly Free" airfare read more deals which were released in September prior to the tour in June. On tour, we were really pleased with what we were able to see and what was included and we saw a lot!

We took most of the Optional experiences, which did mean we were "on the go" most of the time, however we were prepared to put the effort in to see as much as we could whilst away. Most days we walked between 15,000 to 18,000 steps. Piotr (Tour Director) and Werner (Driver) were professional and made everything on tour go smoothly. The accommodation was excellent, we had a triple share room and on some occasions we were given a suite and twice we received interconnecting rooms, which was a real bonus. We would recommend this Insight Tour for anyone wishing to visit Russia, Scandinavia, Lithuania and some eastern European cities.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Scandinavia 2 Grand Scandinavia , VIC, Australia, Jun 2017
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Scandinavia. 50% of the group were Australian with the rest made up of people from New Zealand, USA and Canada. The tour guide was great and most of the accommodation was good. The temperature in June was cool to cold. Spring had arrived late and there was still plenty of snow around which afforded spectacular scenery.
Wonderful and informative trip through history and glorious countryside. 4 Britain & Ireland Discovery , SA, Australia, Jun 2017
We loved our trip. Our tour director John looked after us extremely well , enthralling us with stories and songs of all the places we visited. Our global journeys consultant Madeline made booking seamless. We would not hesitate to recommend both Global Journeys and Insight. in fact we have already booked another holiday.
Country Roads of Scotland 7 Country Roads of Scotland , WA, Australia, Jun 2017
The tour guide was excellent which always makes a trip pleasant. I know we were in places in Scotland which have limited hotel choice but a couple had very small rooms and one was not too well maintained. Great trip overall though.
Interesting trip, well organised 5 Treasures of Spain, Portugal & Morocco , WA, Australia, Jun 2017
Enjoyable holiday with very nice group of friendly people. Pity Barcelona was not Included in this tour. It would have made it complete. Disappointed with sections of Morocco. Casablanca was a real disappointment. Hotel was lovely but when fellow passengers tried to walk from the hotel, police said it was unsafe and sent everyone back. Tangiers hotel read more too far out of town. A nice hotel but we couldn't get the feel of the city other than a drive through.

Spain good. Only problem was the times we arrived at hotels. Sometimes it was quite late in the afternoon and so couldn't do much with the location. Tour guides good as were the bus drivers. We stopped 2 seat rotation in Morocco which was disappointing as we were up the back for the whole time and with the heat from the engine and the smaller seats on the toilet side of the bus, it was a long time.
Amazing! 5 Best of Spain & Portugal , New Zealand, Jun 2017
Loved the tour, definitely be back to do another as Rory our Guide and Alfredo our Driver were simply outstanding in the delivery of this tour.
Rediscover Sicily 8 Sicily in Depth , VIC, Australia, Jun 2017
Great experience and insight picked some wonderful places to see. Very professional through out the tour, overall had a great time and would definitely would use Global Journeys and Insight again. Thank you.
Very well run fascinating tour 2 Treasures of the Balkans , WA, Australia, May 2017
The tour guide was extremely good. Most hotels were good and well located, although a few were at a distance from the centre. Global Journeys gave great support. Purely based on this tour would recommend Insight.
Grand, wonderful tour of Scandinavia 5 Grand Scandinavia , QLD, Australia, May 2017
A truly magnificent journey through Scandinavia. We had amazing weather. Perfect timing as summer was 3 weeks late in coming so had the added benefit of seeing heaps of snow, ice and then all the trees come into into leaf at the end of our tour. Accommodation better than we were lead to believe for that part of the world. Oslo the only one with read more sub standard accommodation. We were told all the Hotels in that city had very small rooms. Staff made up for it-they were great. If you want to cross the Arctic Circle, see the mid-night sun and go to the North Cape (top of Europe) this is the trip for you. And of course too see Santa in Lapland. Not forgetting the fjords and lakes. Amazing.
Great adventure 3 Grand Scandinavia , VIC, Australia, May 2017
Wonderful tour of Scandinavia run by insight. Tour director Chad and driver Oleg were exceptional. It was just sight after sight with each day bringing something new. Not sure if all the extra tours were necessary. We did some but not all. Some may have just been time fillers.
A really enjoyable tour 6 Italian Elegance , Vic, Australia, May 2017
The Italian Elegance tour was a great experience. The areas visited are extremely diverse so there was always something different to see, experience and enjoy – cities, medieval towns, Tuscan country, coast, lakes and mountains. The tour was all-inclusive so there were no options to be discussed (sold), decided on or paid for during the tour. There read more were 36 people on the coach but it never felt crowded and was very comfortable due to the generous amount of space between the seats.

Our accommodation was always in the very good to excellent range and the variety of the locations where we stayed was amazing; a converted farm building in a resort in Tuscany, overlooking the sea in Santa Margherita, on the lake in Baveno with mountain views, in the Dolomites and very close to St Mark’s in Venice. The “flourishes” along the way included gelato in San Gimignano and Strudel in the Dolomites which were both highlights. Our tour director, Jackie, was very well organised and willing to assist when required.

The only thing that didn’t work well was in Rome as we travelled to the Vatican twice - St Peter’s Basilica early morning then Sistine Chapel and dinner later in the afternoon – with Colosseum tour in between. It would be much better if both Vatican visits could be done together. The Vatican dinner was average so could be removed from the itinerary to allow the visits to be completed in the morning.

We have travelled with Insight before and would have no hesitation in recommending them. As always, Georgie at Global Journeys was extremely efficient and helpful during our planning and booking of the tour.
Pleasant ' Insight' Trip but expensive with poorer quality hotels 10 Grand Scandinavia , ACT, Australia, May 2017
Although it was summer (June) in Scandinavia it was still very cold and it snowed or sleeted several times. Don't bother heading to the Artic Circle or North Cape until much later in summer as you can't see much in the bad weather. The Insight coach and driver were great and the tour guide was good, but definitely a sales person when it came to optional read more extras - just do your own itinerary in the free time and you will get more out of the stops.

The standard of the hotels were disappointing when the tour was sold as providing a min 4 star, but most were 3 star with one or two even less. Be prepared for very basic cabins on the ferry to Helsinki. Stockholm was the highlight - very pretty city with lovely old town and easy to walk around. The Hilton Hotel in Stockholm was by far the best. If you are looking for a gastronomical experience on vacation, Scandinavia will somewhat disappoint - reindeer is worth trying and the salmon was also good, but the other white fish were bland. The other main stay of pork was nothing special. Potatoe is the main vegetable served so I really missed my greens. Norway is the most expensive of the Scandinavian countries so be prepared for the cost of food, wine and clothing to be double what you pay in Australia. Worth seeing Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway, but I wouldn't bother going back.
Trip of a lifetime 7 Country Roads of Switzerland , VIC, Australia, May 2017
The tour content was perfect and exceeded our expectations, but the tour director was disappointing as he was ill-prepared and unfamiliar with several destinations. His poor organisation and vague instructions saw one family left behind on the excursion to Jungfrau and needing to find their own way back to the hotel. So, except for the choice of tour read more director, a perfect trip and a good case for leaving the payment of gratuities until the end of the tour.
Yellowstone is magical 1 American Parks Trail , QLD, Australia, May 2017
Great trip and a very good time of the year to do Yellowstone. Late snow blocked access to the northern park but the snow added a magical touch to the park.
