Incredible Balkans 5 , NSW, Australia, Apr 2019
Not really expecting much, we were pleasantly surprised by the beauty, history and scenic places. It was rather daunting to travel 9 countries in 18 days but the border crossing did not pose a problem at all. Our tour director was superb in her planning and management of the tour. We were also a special group in the sense that almost everyone was travel read more savvy. No one was late and no one was a nuisance at all. It was truly memorable.

Wonderful trip from start till the end   7 , NSW , Australia, May 2018
I enjoyed every single day during this 18 day trip. My first time travelling with Insight Vacations and certainly will do it again. All in all, the standard of accommodations, meals, sightseeing etc is similar to my life style in Sydney. I love the quality and comfort therefore the trip was fabulous. Being a spiritual person, by practising 'mindfulness' read more about my surroundings, I focused on the positive perspective from my inner self. Yeah, another enjoyable trip for me. Happiness comes from inner self.

An Interesting and Enlightening Tour 6 , VIC, Australia, Apr 2018
My wife and I took the the first tour of the year, starting in early May. We were very lucky with the weather-no rain and temperatures in the mid to high 20's. Overall we found the tour very interesting with each location offering something different. It was enlightening to listen to the local tour guides provide a different slant on historical matters, read more depending on which country we were in.

The hotels were of a high standard, although many were some distance from the centre. Unfortunately the quality of the included hotel dinners was disappointing which we found surprising based on past experiences with Insight. There was little variety to choose from and no traditional food on offer, with the exception of the Yantra Grand Hotel in Veliko Tarnova.

We only did two optional activities. I would recommend the Rila Monastery excursion from Sofia but could not recommend the harbour dinner cruise in Dubrovnik. The dinner was terrible and the drinks package was not what was offered. But despite these negatives the overall experience was very good and we learned a great deal about this region.

Finally a big thank you to Yvonne at Global Journeys for her advice and organization, thus helping to make this another very successful tour for us.
Needs internal Assessment 12 , NSW, Australia, Jun 2017
This tour company needs to closely examine the passengers surveys that were completed at the end of the tour. They will probably find quite a few passengers on the tour were very disappointed with the tour. So much so that two people left the tour before the tour actually ended.

The tour guide was on of the main reasons why the trip was not enjoyable. read more The meals on the trip were only average. Some of the hotels were situated some distance from the main tourist attractions. The optional experiences were not clearly explained by the tour director. Far to much information was provided by the tour guide and then repeated by the local guide. Many people on the tour have toured with Insight Vacations before and felt that this tour was well below what they had experienced on previous tours.
Very well run fascinating tour 2 , WA, Australia, May 2017
The tour guide was extremely good. Most hotels were good and well located, although a few were at a distance from the centre. Global Journeys gave great support. Purely based on this tour would recommend Insight.
I really enjoyed this tour 2 , SA, Australia, Aug 2015
I really enjoyed this tour. Our guide Karin was excellent, as was the driver who had some difficult roads to negotiate. It is a most fascinating part of the world, with a resilient and friendly population. If you want history, great cities and beautiful scenery, this tour has it in abundance.
