Highly recommended tour 2 Europe's Highlights with London , SA, Australia, Mar 2015
Great sights, well run tour. Tour Director Suzie was exceptional and booking service with Global Journeys was excellent. Highly recommended tour.
The tour itself was very enjoyable 1 , NSW, Australia, Mar 2015
The tour itself was very enjoyable. I do like the fact that they offered some of the excursions as optional so you can choose to do it on your own or with a local tour guide. It gave us the flexibility of still being able to make our own itinerary with the help of the tour director and the local guide. Tunde, who was our tour director and Giorgo, our read more driver were lovely people always ready to help and make our stay a memorable one. The Cosmos bus was awesome with the free wifi service! Never missed a chance to update my status or upload a photo on social media for family and friends back home! All the hotels were pretty decent (2-3 star) and all had free wifi access too. The best part of the tour was the Budapest dinner cruise along the Danube which I highly recommend to anyone taking this tour. Maybe something to look into for future tours- I was actually looking forward to doing a bit of sightseeing in Munich but unfortunately, it was just like a starting and end point of the tour where we didn't really do anything (except for the dinner on the last night).
What a wonderful trip we had 2 Seven Countries, Venice & Paris with London , WA, Australia, Feb 2015
What a wonderful trip we had. Yes it was very fast paced and 'full on' but this only added to the experience. We had a wonderful tour guide and a very mixed group on our tour, which I can only say added to the fun. I'd really recommend this tour as a taster of Europe, we already have a list of places we would like to return to at a more leisurely pace. read more Most on the tour commented that they would have preferred the accommodation to be closer to the centre of the towns and cities we visited but all realised that that was the trade off to get such a good value tour. Huge thank you to Emily for organising this for us so quickly when it really was a last minute booking. We are already checking out the brochure to see where we would like to go next!!
We had a wonderful tour 4 , QLD, Australia, Dec 2014
We had a wonderful tour and full compliments go to our tour guide Luigi and driver Francesco. The tour did keep us on the go but we understood that would be the case as indicated in the tour information. Some of the accommodation was on the outskirts of the town and whilst the public transport was relatively easy to use we thought that the accommodation read more in Rome would have been more suited to closer into the city as the public transport in Rome is not the most reliable. This was certainly our 'taster' for Europe and has given us the chance to view cities we will definitely return to. I would recommend factoring in the cost of the optional tours as we ended up doing the majority and certainly enjoyed them all. On the optional dinners our tour guide would take us walking through the city either before or after dinner and we were able to then view the city at night as well by day when we did the day city tour. Thank you Cosmos for a great tour!
First ever tour and the best experience I have ever had! 2 , QLD, Australia, Dec 2014
This was my first ever tour and it was the best experience I have ever had! I really enjoyed the comfort of the bus which was guided throughout the countryside by a very skilled driver. Our tour guide was a pure gentleman who was an encyclopaedia of information. Our accommodation was excellent! The scenery was something to behold as was the small villages, read more churches, castles and townships! Thank you so much for a very stress free booking and tour! (Ed. This trip changed slightly in 2019, so this review is based on the previous longer itinerary)
A wonderful coach trip 2 Spain, Portugal & Morocco , VIC, Australia, Dec 2014
Thank you Hannah and Global journeys for handling my tour booking and extra accommodation. I had a wonderful coach trip with Cosmos. Angel our tour director and Hose our driver were both fabulous. I would certainly book again with Global Journeys and Cosmos.

Excellent value for money tour 6 Rhythms of the Road , WA, Australia, Nov 2014
Excellent value for money tour. The towns we visited were great. Chicago was terrific and we had 3 days beforehand which helped. We didn't do any excursions here but all good. Our hotel was less than helpful when it came to accommodating us not having to change rooms as we arrived 2 nights earlier, even though I had been in contact before leaving Australia. read more Plus Brenda said they were supposed to accommodate us so that was quite disrupting. Nashville for us, not country music people normally, was above expectations. The Grand Ole Opry was a memorable and engaging experience we will cherish for ever. Memphis was good though a bit of an anticlimax, except Graceland which was fabulous, following Nashville. We were both very surprised by the presentation at Graceland, it really brought out the person of Elvis, not the marketed person. Simply great! We are also not huge Elvis people but loved everything. The Civil Rights Museum we went to could have Been offered in Memphis but not everyone's choice no doubt. We felt that the Cajun Sensation was a let down. We were coached there, seated, orders taken then a quick dance, fed and then off again. For us we would have preferred to have had another day in New Orleans instead. As it was, we gave our Swamp tour tickets away as we wouldn't have seen any of New Orleans otherwise. 3 nights a minimum needed here. The Tour guide, Brenda, was great. Very informative and very flexible and really wanted us to get the best experience possible, which we did. Our driver, John, was a gem! He went the extra in many ways and accommodated different people graciously. Value for Money, diversity of experience, pace of tour were all met and we would highly recommend the Tour to anyone.
Hotels are well outside the CBD 5 Fatima, Lourdes & Shrines of Spain , Australia, Oct 2014
The hotels are well outside the CBD in most cities except for Burgos, Fatima and Lourdes. This added to the cost of taxis to the airport in Madrid (8 euros) or to get to the city centre in Barcelona and Madrid if you couldn't catch buses. Being in Santiago De Compostella for approximately 6 hours of say exploring or touring time is just so short it read more is ridiculous. I understand from the guide that it will change next year. In the main, two night stays means a very short first night eg 6 hours, plus a day. The included tour in Barcelona was poor and that was discussed at the time with the guide. I have been to both Barcelona and Madrid before. Not to go to Park Guell in Barcelona was a big mistake but I knew from the description of what was proposed to be covered that was not included. So much time wasted on that included tour it was frustrating! I thought the extra tours provided value for money and I was happy with those. Michelle White was my contact at Global Journeys and she did an amazing job to help me. There was confusion with the link from the email going to the wrong trip so I nearly had booked a return flight from Barcelona and not Madrid. Thank goodness I rang Michelle to confirm everything and that's where we discovered the error. The fine print in her email was correct, but I was using the map as my guide. Michelle was very responsive, to my calls and if she wasn't there someone else from Global Journeys responded. A big thank you to the Global Journeys team!
Very happy 3 The Splendors of Italy , Australia, Oct 2014
The tour was well organized and well run. The tour guide was excellent and the coach and driver were also excellent. The included meals were average at the hotels but the extra paid for meals were pretty good. The booking system worked well and Georgie was very pleasant to do dealings with. Overall we were very happy with the Cosmos tour.
The tour was well organised and ran on time and schedule 3 Western Wonders , Australia, Oct 2014
The tour was well organised and ran on time and schedule. It met all our expectation regarding content and experience. The tour guide was fantastic, an endless source of useful and practical information and a great sense of humour. The coach had loo stops about every two hours, however the coach had a loo on-board for emergency use. Wi-Fi was available read more on the coach at no additional cost. Baggage was taken care of from arrival to leaving at each overnight stop, being delivered and picked up from the room. The coach driver was careful and a safe driver, and all the participants were extremely happy with his skills in a busy driving environment. The hotels were fine. Most were close to eating spots or convenience stores where food and supplies were available. All hotels, except one had fridge and coffee making facilities. All except one had Wi-Fi. Optional tours were well organised and price competitive. Lastly the folks at Global Journeys did a great job and the detailed itinerary, specific for the tour was detailed and comprehensive.
A wonderful tour 2 Spain, Portugal & Morocco , Australia, Oct 2014
A wonderful tour. Everything went according to plan. The tour guide was just wonderful and the countries and the cities were just great. Cosmos was wonderful this time again. Global Journeys was a pleasure to deal with, especially Hannah Campbell. Nothing was too much trouble and we benefited from Global Journey's experience. Will definitely book another read more tour with Global Journeys again in the future. Thank you.
Tour exceeded our expectations 3 Southern Charms & Florida , Australia, Oct 2014
The tour exceeded our expectations and we would recommend it to anyone interested in the history of the Old South or the music of the Rock and Roll and Blues eras. Our guide, Kristine, was passionate about passing on her vast array of knowledge in an entertaining way and she made herself available to offer advice or help beyond normal limits. We were read more happy to see that New Orleans is open for business after Katrina and is a vibrant city. Thanks for the memories.
Fabulous tour. Everyday seemed to be another surprise 1 The Best of Britain & Ireland , Australia, Oct 2014
This was our first time with Cosmos and we are looking forward to going with them again. The tour director and coach driver were fantastic, everything went smoothly at all times. Our tour director Julian was a walking encyclopaedia which made the tour extremely interesting. My only disappointment was we didn't have enough time in Bath. Overnight would read more be better so we could spend more time exploring that beautiful city. It was a fabulous tour. Everyday seemed to be another surprise.
Experienced an excellent taste of Europe 2 The Best of Europe with London , Australia, Oct 2014
Our honeymoon was so full on, for a short period of time we have experienced an excellent taste of Europe. Cosmos have provided the best package, they have the excellent tour guides for each region in Europe that provides excellent info and link to the history and each countries contribution to civilisation. awesome experience! Will definitely book read more our next Baltic tour with Cosmos & Global Journeys.
Overall a very good introductory tour of Japan 2 , Australia, Oct 2014
Overall the introductory tour of Japan was very good. In order to cover many cities and towns on tour there was a lot of driving. Hence we arrived late in some cities eg Osaka. And there was not much opportunity for sightseeing. I recommend number of days in Tokyo at start of tour is reduced to fit an extra day in Osaka or Nagoya. We visited many shrines read more and temples. Perhaps too many. A review of mandated itinerary may be warranted by Cosmos to see if other interesting sites can be added to program. Not enough optional tours available. There were only one optional provided in Kyoto. Most were booked out. Cultural events in other cities would have been of interest. Hotels were of very high quality.
Our third Cosmos tour and we just loved it 2 Grand Tour of France , Australia, Oct 2014
Fantastic! This was our third Cosmos tour and we just loved it. The accommodation exceeded our expectations except for one hotel in Avignon, but the Radisson in Toulouse made up for it. Our tour director was the best we have had. So organised and full of local information. She would hand out maps for the towns we were visiting with highlighted places read more to see. She even did an orientation walk in each town and no-one of the 48 passengers ever got lost. She would buy our tickets for entry into places we wanted to visit and then collect any funds from us later. There was a lot of driving in this tour, as we covered some 3,500 kilometres in 12 days of driving. Our days would start at 8am on the bus and finish somewhere around 5 to 6pm. The early starts enabled us to be at locations before another 2 tour buses arrived and so we usually had the places to ourselves, absolutely wonderful. The optional excursions are a must do. The Monaco experience will be remembered for a life time, as our dinner was at a hilltop restaurant with glass windows facing Monaco and the Prince's palace. The whole trip was so well organised and everything ran smoothly. Thank you Cosmos for taking us to all the number one places in France!
Covered all what had been promised 2 , Australia, Oct 2014
We had a very knowledgeable guide showing us along the way, which helped greatly in understanding the places we visited. The tour was generally good, covering all what had been promised. However I found highlights of the tour were mainly with those optional excursions that showed the true colour of what those wonderful places could offer. I had wished read more more could have been included in the default package.
Exactly what I expected 2 From Dublin to London , Australia, Oct 2014
Wales, beautiful and trip bettered by tour director Hue and his abundant knowledge. Trip across aqueduct a highlight for myself and son. Dublin is a place I will return to and stay for a couple of weeks. Castle banquet great fun, as was jaunty ride. The trip exactly what I expected, an insight into places I may want to visit in the future. Thanks!
We loved the area, the accommodation and company 1 The Magic of the Italian Lakes , Australia, Oct 2014
The overall price was very good, but that may have explained why there were so many optional excursions attached to the tour. This is something that we have not experienced before despite opting for realistically priced tours and travelling widely. As it turned out we went on the tour from Lake Maggiore which was really good, but unfortunately, the read more tour of Verona, which we were prepared to do, was cancelled due to lack of numbers. Whilst the optional excursions were on they were in areas where there was not a lot to do for those not participating (perhaps that is part of their strategy!!). We probably needed more suggestion of where we could go and what to do. The planning of having two lunch/dinner optional tours on the one day was short sighted. Clearly though we loved the area, the accommodation and company and would still do another Cosmos tour. But get rid of the optional tours.
