Fabulous Irish Explorer 1

There are not enough words to thank Frank (our guide and driver) for the fabulous trip that we just finished. It would not have been as entertaining and well organised without his expertise. Thank you Frank for a wonderful trip.
Just wanted to provide some feedback re the tour. Travelling by myself I was a little apprehensive at first but these concerns were soon allayed. From day one of the tour I felt welcome , valued and included. The hotels were lovely, the company was wonderful and we saw a lot quickly and efficiently without it seeming too rushed or commercial. I loved read more everything we saw - and also everything our tour guide recommended outside the tour.
Despite being a commercial tour I felt was able to experience some genuine Irish local hospitality. All the local tour guides were amazing also. In fact I have nothing negative to report. One of the things I enjoyed the most was the history described by our tour guide. Also everything our tour guide Lesley recommended we see was excellent. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat - the only flaw was it made me wish I was Irish!! So many thank yous for your recommendation - I don’t have much time off in my profession but this was the best holiday I have had. And that is priceless.

Recently returned from CIE's Grand Tour and was thrilled with the tour. This was my first coach tour and I would definitely go on another. The hotels, while some weren't as grand as others all were clean, comfortable and in great locations and had everything I needed. The meals were great, the sights were amazing but what made this time so special was read more the Tour Director (David Turner) and the Coach Driver (Patrick O'Brien). They were a fantastic team, always on hand to help and tell their amazing stories. They worked together to make this a special trip.

We had the best time touring Ireland with CIE Tours. Our guide, Tim, was so welcoming, knowledgeable and entertaining and it would not have been the same without him. The selection of hotels and stop-off points was perfect for a ôTaste of Irelandö and we were able to see a lot in such a small amount of time. We met some really beautiful people on the read more tour and could not recommend CIE Tours more.
If the open air bus (sightseeing) tour is to be a part of the package for a Taste of Scotland, CIE should provide transportation to and from Edinburgh City for delivery to Waverly Station and pick-up from the station. Otherwise, the tour was outstanding and well-done. We were very pleased with the package and the price for all we received was outstanding as well.

We had a great time on our Taste of Scotland and Ireland. Our Coach Driver John Greene was FANTASTIC, best driver ever, extremely knowledgeable and a great, funny guy. Everyone in Scotland and Ireland are extremely nice people the trip was nicely planned out we got to see a ton of places that we would of never have seen on our own. Great Trip!

We have just completed a wonderful 9 day tour, it was above and beyond our expectations. Dominic Dixon was a great Tour Leader and a superb Driver. Dominic was so knowledgeable in the history of Ireland, it was a pleasure to hear his stories, he was well organised and made life for the group very easy. CIE organised a fantastic tour - superb sightseeing, read more accommodation was first class, enjoyable meals and a great small group of 23 on board - congratulations CIE on this tour. We would have no hesitation in recommending CIE, thank you.
Comprehensive tour of Ireland 1

A great holiday. Everything went as planned. It is a great comprehensive tour of all Ireland. Dennis was our driver and the wonderful Brendhan our tour guide. Brendhan was really good with his historical knowledge, his charm and his wit. (I'll not mention the singing). He galvanised the coach into a happy, contributing band of travellers. We could not read more have been with a better tour guide.
This was a great tour. The tour guide we had called Murt was great. So much knowledge, he remembered dates so well, very informative. He had such a good sense of humour and a good singing voice too!! The tour was well organised, hotels lovely where we stayed, plus good food. Very happy with this tour group and we have already recommended this tour company to other people.
My first experience with CIE! It has been so amazing and our tour guide/coach driver was outstanding. Wish there was a way to request such a gentle informative guide. This is my second trip to this area and by far the best way to travel and enjoy all the stops and the comfort of the bus ride. I will most certainly recommend this tour to friends and read more family. I look forward to using CIE for future travels!
What an introduction to Ireland!!! CIE was recommended by some friends as a reliable and well organised tour company. They fell short of singing all of their praises. Being first time visitors to Ireland, we were a little unsure on whether this was the right tour to see as much as we could on a five day trip. The tour lived up to our expectations in read more every way. Our driver/guide (Tom) was a charming, witty and knowledgeable character with excellent driving experience. All the hotels we stayed in were fine and fit for purpose. The Killarney Towers Hotel took first prize from us. All the attractions, pubs and sights we visited were first class, it was obvious that they had been selected with great care. Congratulations to CIE Tours for an excellent holiday. We have already recommended CIE to several friends.
We just finished our 8 day tour of Ireland and we had such a great time. John was our driver and we felt very safe with him. Sabina was our tour guide. Sabina is very knowledgeable and organised, and she knows how to keep everyone feeling happy whether it was raining or sunny. The hotels were really great and food was excellent. Lots of sheep and beautiful read more green hills. The Irish people are ready to party and love to tell their jokes!! Thanks for a wonderful week.
Enjoyable Wild Atlantic Way 1

We booked the Wild Atlantic Way 13 day tour with a group of friends to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary and we are ecstatic to have done so. From our tour director, FrankÆs, welcome at Shannon to the Medieval Feast at Bunratty, the trip was informative, exciting, comfortable and enjoyable. We could not have done the trip without Frank and his read more wonderfully thorough knowledge of the history and culture of Ireland and we appreciated his recommendations for eateries and opportunities to explore local restaurants and pubs on our own. These open afternoons and evenings allowed us to experience local dining, culture, and aided in crafting wonderful, lasting memories in this beautiful location. The tour was run smoothly and efficiently, allowing us to fully enjoy and experience every location. Our favourite highlights were: Westport, Glenveagh Castle, Titanic, Dublin, and most especially, the afternoon and evening opportunities to explore the area. We love that we stayed the entirety of the tour as we had so many special activities, such as the sheepdog trials, water tour of Dingle Harbor and the Maritime Museum. The beauty of the country was amplified by Frank, who is all the craic. Thanks to him and to CIE for making our anniversary travel memorable. We look forward to future tours. Go raibh maith agat as na cuimhnÝ cinn ßlainn!

Excellent trip - 24 days and it was still too short. Wonderful fellow travellers and very knowledgeable tour director - thanks David, amazing amount of facts and figures. Challenging roads - but Dennis made them look easy. London my favourite city, Ireland my favourite country. But Scotland and Wales beautiful. Definitely recommend this tour.
I have just returned back from my trip. I would like to thank Jim our Tour Director/Driver for a wonderful time. This is my third time with CIE and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to travel in Ireland. You are looked after from the moment you arrive.
My husband and I were on the ôSpirit of Irelandö tour that began June 8, and we were very impressed with and thankful for the entire experience. The CIE representative who met us at the airport, the driver who took us to our first hotel, and our tour director, David, were extremely kind and helpful. We appreciated DavidÆs interesting, thoughtful and read more often humorous commentaries about Ireland and the many sites we saw. Along with his excellent driving skills and his considerate attention to the safety and comfort of all the guests on the tour, David was very knowledgeable about IrelandÆs history, folklore and contemporary news, and we learned a great deal. David was an excellent resource throughout the trip, suggesting places to eat, recommending shows to see, and even offering to coordinate transportation to events outside of the tour. We enjoyed the entire tour very much, and we feel that we had such a positive experience in large part because Dave served as our tour director.
My grandson and I have had a wonderful time! The scenery is breathtaking. Conor Delaney our guide for the 13 days is incredibly knowledgeable and made the trip funny as well as informative. Our driver, Brian was a rock and so amazing at the wheel on the twists and turns. Would I recommend CIE? In a minute! This is my second tour with CIE and will book read more with them in the future. Do it! You will have so much fun!!
We, eight Malaysians did have a wonderful and enjoyable trip throughout the eleven days with Mark Mulvey, our tour director. He is knowledgeable, humorous and hard working. The hotels and meals were fantastic and we had nothing to worry about our luggage, etc as they were in the good hands of Mark. Give him a raise! Lastly, we will not hesitate to introduce read more CIE tours to others. Keep it up!!
This otherwise pleasant tour had a problem on the last day when the tickets to the Edinburgh Castle were not distributed to some of us as promised as part of the tour. This was probably due to poor communication on the part of the daily tour guide and particularly bad weather. We had to buy our own tickets to see the castle.
Having travelled with CIE in 2016 to Scotland and Ireland I was disappointed that this tour did not stand up to my previous experience with CIE. I was delighted with our guide and driver - Phil and Denis and the fact that we had a small group of 15 or 16. I believe that had we had more on our coach we would have been limited in what we saw and rushed read more to get to all the sights. I was pleased with the food - excellent as in my past trip. I understand that the weather was the warmest since 1976, but our accommodations were below standard. Most locations were too far to shop or enjoy any evening activities in town unless you were willing to pay for transportation into town. The rooms were small and all but one of my rooms overlooked HAVAC rooftop equipment. Some of the hotels did not have air conditioning at all. I was also disappointed in the Scottish Evening at Dalhousie having had a wonderful time at the Scottish Evening provided on the Scotland/Ireland tour in 2016. The Welsh dinner was wonderful! Overall, I had a great time on this tour - but I did take it upon myself to travel to some things on my own.
