Just got home a week ago from taking the CIE pub tour. What a fantastic trip! Our driver/guide, Noel, was wonderful. His knowledge, humour, professionalism and passion for his country showed through every day. I travelled with five friends and we joined the rest of the tour group in Dublin. This was my 10th trip to Ireland and it was definitely the best. I will recommend CIE to everyone planning a trip to Ireland.

My wife and I completed the Scotland Isles and Glens tour on October 10. It was our 9th tour (3 river cruises and 7 coach), and by far our best. Cannot fault the tour - I went by myself and was made to feel very included and welcome at all times.The tour guide Lesley I cannot speak of highly enough - knowledgable, passionate about Ireland and very helpful. Saw a lot quickly - but felt was personalised versus commercial and rushed. Would recommend to anyone and would do again in a heartbeat

Travelling by myself I was a little apprehensive at first but these concerns were soon allayed. From day one of the tour I felt welcome, valued and included. Despite being a commercial tour, I felt was able to experience some genuine Irish local hospitality. All the local tour guides were amazing also. In fact, I have nothing negative to report. One of the things I enjoyed the most was the history described by our tour guide. Also everything our tour guide Lesley recommended we see was excellent. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat - the only flaw was it made me wish I was Irish!! I donÆt have much time off in my profession but this was the best holiday I have had. We have just finished our CIE Irish Odyssey Tour and couldnÆt be happier! As this trip was our first time in Ireland, we wanted to see it all... And we did. He provided us with a wealth of historical facts everywhere we went, showed us points of interest that we never would have discovered on our own, provided us with many laughs, addressed the needs of everyone on the bus with a smile, and made each person feel like the most important person on his bus. SeanÆs attention to detail made the trip first class. Sean takes great pride in showing his country to visitors and makes everyone feel at home. This was our first CIE tour, but it wonÆt be our last!

Very well organised, genuine 4 star accommodation and good meals, with no hidden costs, makes this the best tour we have experienced. Our thanks to our guide Brian, a wonderful ambassador for his country, not only kept us informed, but thoroughly entertained with his Irish humour and wit.

Husband and I are just back from a tour around Ireland. We would like to say how much we enjoyed our trip. Also would like to thank our driver/courier Austin McArdle for a very informative and interesting time. There's a man who loves his country. Austin pointed out places of interest and gave us a brief history about the places we visited. At certain ...read more points we did a walking tour and had local guides take us around, one of these guides was Steven who took us round a damp Westport, but managed to keep us entertained. On to Derry and another walking tour, again a very informative guide. All hotels were up to standard and couldn't fault any of them. I would certainly recommend CIE Tours.

What a marvellous holiday we had touring around Ireland with a bus load of wonderful travellers - fellow Aussies, Americans, Canadians and Mauritians. This was our first international overseas guided tour. Mick Brady (Tour Director) and David Walker (knighted by the group as Sir David of the Coach) made this an unforgettable trip! Their professionalism, knowledge, and focus on Customer Service were beyond outstanding. The all-inclusive nature of the itinerary, as well as the lack of any up-selling ...read more pressure by Mick and Dave made for a relaxing holiday. Mick provided tremendous commentary along the route (history from the beginning of time, fun-filled facts, stories, folk lore, personal anecdotes, etc.) and filled in the white space with well-timed regional music and humorous CDs. He went out of his way to provide follow-up information and directions after the tour ended. David's focus on a safe yet comfortable coach trip was amazing, and he kept his professionalism and sense of humour throughout. Their timing was impeccable and we arrived either early or on time at each of our destinations over an estimated 1,200 coach miles. All of our destinations knew in advance of our timing and welcomed us with open arms. Amazing! We'll certainly look to CIE for our next guided visit and would consider ourselves very fortunate to have Tour Directors and Drivers the quality of Mick and David. Very well done!

I completed a CIE Scottish Dream in Edinburgh yesterday. I just wanted to feed back to you my delight in, and appreciation of both the tour guide Liz, and the driver George. Both were top shelf people who not only displayed great pride in their job, and a clear love of what they do, they also showed care and interest in all of the guests of the tour. ...read more I would have no hesitation in recommending this tour to others, but I would hope and pray that they also got the joy of the 'Liz and George show!'. The tour quite literally starts and ends with them, but it is the middle that counts the most and they made it a true Scottish Dream!!!

Recently I completed the Irish Classic tour of Ireland. It was one of the best coach tours of my travelling life, perhaps the best. Some of the success, in my opinion, was because of the professional guide (Mr Liam Murray) and driver (Mr Sam Lockhart). I am now safely back in NZ and had a wonderful time on my tour of Wales. I was apprehensive going on my own but David, the tour director made sure I was well looked after and I soon made friends with the other people on the tour.

Great tour, made a wonderful experience by our Coach and Tour Guide Ken O'Connell. He was extremely knowledgeable of the history of Ireland from prehistoric times to present, was a great entertainer with song and verse and drove very competently given some of the challenging roads.
