What our clients are saying about adventures to the South Pole

“Holiday of a lifetime in Antarctica”
Evva - NSW, Australia Jan 2019
Antarctica in January is spectacular!!! I cannot recommend this cruise enough. The check-in was easy, the cabins were clean and quite comfortable considering their small size, the food was amazing and the scenery...beyond words. The Drake Passage is as bad as everyone says, make sure you take prescription medication. Day 1 in Antarctica and we had a continental landing, spotted penguins and seals, had Orcas approach the ship who swam underneath us and I was lucky enough to camp on Antarctica! Believe more

“The most amazing experience ever!”
Danielle - VIC, Australia Dec 2018
This trip exceeded every expectation! The boat was very comfortable. The staff were exceptional - from the cleaning staff to the expedition staff. I was worried about the sea days but I needed the sea days to have some down time to recover from our expedition days. The food was diverse and great quality. I would recommend this trip to everyone. You must go to South not go to Antarctica without going there as it is so amazing!

“Brilliant, scintillating Antarctica”
Norm & Wendy - WA, Australia Jan 2018
Antarctica - you must visit and soon and no better than with APT and Ponant. The ship was first class, the meals delicious and plentiful and the ‘free’ bar tempting. As a small ship, the Le Lyrial catered for the varied passenger list, all of whom were easy to liaise with and share experiences. The expedition, yes expedition and not a holiday, was challenging for some as the twice daily zodiac trips to the mainland involved a dressing up/layering against the cold and somewhat difficult landings more

“Antarctica and Peru”
Ros & Rod - VIC, Australia Jan 2018
The Ponant cruise of Antarctica was excellent. Efficient management of daily tours by zodiacs to fascinating locations. Pristine environments and wildlife. Food, service and accommodation on the ship was also wonderful. The land component in Peru was a delight as well. Of course we expected to be impressed by Machu Picchu, but there was so much more. Our wonderful local guide, Juan Jose, was full of info about Maras, Moray, the sacred valley, Cusco, and so very much more. Our only niggle was more
