(B)

This morning, board the world-famous Rocky Mountaineer train and settle into your carriage with large panoramic windows for expansive views of the fabled Rocky Mountains. Your journey takes you through the Spiral Tunnels, a historic engineering feat which snakes its way through the region. There is time to settle into your comfortable hotel, explore, relax and dine this evening. Stay: Kamloops, hotel assigned by Rocky Mountaineer (B/L)

Rejoin the Rocky Mountaineer and continue your rail adventure west towards the Pacific Ocean. Along the way, enjoy incredible front-row views of the region's natural beauty, taking in some of its many highlights, which include Fraser Canyon, the Coast Mountains and Fraser Valley. Late this afternoon, arrive in Vancouver where you will spend the next two nights. Settle into your centrally located hotel and enjoy free time to explore. Tonight, you might like to try a local restaurant for dinner. Stay Two Nights: Vancouver, Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel (B/L)

After breakfast this morning, transfer to board your premium cruise ship. Enjoy time to relax and settle into your cabin before dinner on board this evening. Stay Seven Nights: Holland America Line's Volendam or Koningsdam (B/D)

Enjoy a full day at sea at the beginning of your phenomenal journey. Relax and absorb the majestic scenery as your ship cruises past dramatic rocky headlands and glides over the frigid waters of the Inside Passage. Today your journey brings you to Alaska's capital, Juneau. There is time to explore the region's glacial terrain and gold rush history or perhaps choose to make your way to the town and explore the rustic shops located here. You may also like to experience an exhilarating dog sled ride over a glacier or try one of the other activities available to you. These include sampling delicious salmon baked over a fire or even trying your hand at panning for gold in this former gold rush town (own expense). (B/L/D)

This morning, you'll dock at the port of Skagway, which is located at the northernmost point of the Inside Passage. Skagway was once a frontier town and gateway to the Klondike and still celebrates its gold rush past to this day. You will find a variety of stores and saloons in town that capture the excitement and history of the gold rush days. Here, you will also have the opportunity to learn more about gold prospecting or to view some of the fascinating local wildlife on a tour (own expense). (B/L/D)

Tour and cruise of Canada and Alaska. 1 , NSW, Australia, Aug 2022
Having arrived home from our fantastic Canada & Alaska tour I have to say it was hassle free and the scenery was every pic a postcard. Great accommodation throughout and always breakfast, but did feel there were too many extras to pay for, so many added tours and meals. The tours of course are optional and your choice.

Could not fault Dale our tour ...read more leader, she was fantastic, always there to help, great stories and knowledge. Our cabin and meals on the cruise were excellent. The crew so friendly and hard working and the ship always being cleaned. Unfortunately we missed our dog-sledding tour through bad weather, no ones fault. We did add a tour in Juneau and did feel it was not at all value for money, very overrated - an old cannery and totem poles with a pure chance sighting of a whale - would not go there. The overall trip was excellent but if you are on a budget it can be pricey.
Tick off the bucket list!   2 , WA, Australia, Aug 2019
What an amazing trip! We ticked so many things off our bucket list. Every day was a jam packed adventure! We got to see Mother Nature at its best. Bears, elks, eagles, salmon, long horned sheep, and this list goes on. We got to visit so many wild and wonderful towns all so different to one another. Our tour guide Ben Direen was fantastic as was our ...read more driver Big Mike. The 7 day cruise to Alaska was a nice way to finish the trip with some time to chill out as well as options for adventure on shore. First time with Travelmarvel and I’ll definitely be travelling with them again. I was very impressed with their service.
Travelmarvel Reflections tour of Western Canada 2 , WA, Australia, Jun 2019
We've just returned from a thoroughly enjoyable Travelmarvel Reflections tour of Western Canada. Going early June allowed us to still see quite a bit of snow, especially on top of the mountains in Whistler. We were so lucky with the weather (warm) with just a bit of rain one night.

Even though we were a big group of 48 we all got along well. On ...read more the bus component our roller blading tour director Roneil was friendly and well organised, as was our delightful coach driver Lana. Accommodation was of a high standard, though Kamloops was somewhat basic - our favourite being the log cabins at Blue River.

The Rocky Mountaineer was a delightful experience, we were certainly fed really well. The cruise to Alaska was great with the highlight being Glacier Bay. We are pleased we chose Reflections and would gladly recommend it to our friends. Hannah (Global Journeys) we once again appreciate how efficient you have been in organising our trip and promptly answering any questions.
Tour of Canada and Alaska   9 , NSW, Australia, May 2019
Firstly let me say this has been my second booking with Global Journeys and I cannot fault them. Every email enquiry was answered promptly and to my satisfaction, took some worry out of our journey before we left home. Thanks Georgie.

Our tour from coach to train to ship went smoothly, well organised and I never felt anxious about the next step. ...read more I have travelled with other companies including Scenic and Insight and would recommend Travelmarvel along with them. I was initially worried about the amount of free time but it really worked with this tour and was possibly needed especially as we were travelling with 2 other couples.

We booked the helicopter and dog sled via Juneau and the crab feast and lumberjack show via Ketchikan... both excellent. Highly recommend going Gold Leaf on the Rocky Mountaineer, the glass roof makes for excellent viewing, the fine dining experience is better than pulling a tray down in front of your seat. Excellent service but patience is required. I would also recommend that on day 1 from Banff you eat before you board or take a snack because breakfast was 10.30 for us and we were first seating.

Accommodation was great, and always well located. Funny enough the only night we went 'umph' was at Lake Louise a premier hotel, great location but the room was not as good as we had through the rest of the tour.
Would also advise if you do the same tour as we did to have alternate plans for the last day, disembarked at 9.30 to rain so really couldn’t do much more than coffee shop hop until coach trip to the airport at 7.30pm. Had it been fine we would have gone to Capillano or walked around Stanly Park, that last day was arduous.
Awesome trip through the Rockies & Alaska 8 , NSW, Australia, May 2019
This was an awesome trip. Would definitely book with Global Journeys & Travelmarvel again. Hard to pick a favourite but our helicopter trip in Juneau to the Glacier and dog sled ride would be close to be the best.
Great holiday!   12 , VIC, Australia, Jun 2018
Our trip was great, the coach portion was tiring with several early mornings. We have not done pre-organised tours such as this before so whilst all the details were taken care of for us it felt a bit rushed at times with little free time. The days on the Rocky Mountaineer were very long due to delays with freight trains but could not believe the generosity ...read more of the refund we received! Our tour guide, Willo was extremely knowledgeable and competent, as was the driver Claude.

We had stress at the domestic airport at Melbourne as staff are unable to "read" the electronically attached ETA. As I couldn't find a hard copy of my husband's we missed our flight and had to postpone our flight to the next day. The importance of having a hard copy of this needs to be emphasized to future travelers or improved scanning procedures for staff at domestic airports.

When trying to contact Travelmarvel for assistance at the airport early on the day I'd intended departure there was no answer from the assistance line but we were referred to ring during office hours which was useless to us for this early flight. Once contested during office hours the staff were helpful in making the changes to our flights for the next day. Luckily we had a day pre-tour so we didn't miss the start but we did have an extra night booked at Victoria that was not needed.
