Loved our trip and will be booking again in next 12 -18 months for another Cosmos tour. Most hotels were great. Could only find fault with one hotel which wasn’t that great. Tour Director, Daniela was great, fun and very informative. Our driver, Lorenzo was fantastic. He was very friendly and a good safe driver. We felt very comfortable with his driving. read more We had a great bunch of people on the tour and had a lot of fun together. Only one person on the tour that spoilt things for others as she was never happy with anything and complained constantly about everything. In the end no one could please her so it was best just to ignore the comments and have a good time.

Some wonderful scenery along with incisive commentary provided by our tour director Liz, who along with our driver Barry kept us on our schedule. Hotels were by and large acceptable however a couple of them for whatever reason were poorer than others.
Both my wife and I were impressed with the two separate Cosmos tours we recently completed in Central and Eastern Europe. The tours were full to the brim with almost constant activity, each day bringing new experiences and things to see and do. It is hard to find fault with their organisation of the tours. The location and quality of hotels was mostly read more excellent. The more out of the way hotels (there were a few) did not have a bad impact as there was always options for getting about although on most nights rest seemed more important than more activity considering the pace of the tours. When the out of the way hotels reduced dining options, Cosmos mostly provided dinner as part of the tour.
In organised tours of this kind there needs to be a positive attitude and avoid whinging when things do not go exactly to plan (e.g. at border crossings where you are in other peoples' hands). The only criticism I would make is the location of "comfort stops" on longer bus trips. These stops were mainly just petrol/fast food/toilet locations and left a lot to be desired in many cases. Maybe a more serious review of these places could be made to avoid below standard places and even to finding better ones. The optional excursions (especially the dinners) were quite expensive in my opinion and sometimes also missed the mark (e.g. WWII and Cold War Icons in Berlin). The tour directors and drivers were excellent and beyond criticism - I am in awe of their ability and attitude. Jemma at Global Journeys was client focused and satisfied all our needs.

The pace of the tour was fast, there were times when we were in the coach for 4 hours with comfort stops along the way but still long driving days. The Krakow hotel was dated and right next to a service station and far from anything worth seeing, that was a shame since we were there for 3 nights if you didn’t do the optional dinner you did feel a little read more trapped. The salt mines were an amazing must see! Auschwitz - Birkenau was incredibly moving and haunting to stand at a place where such atrocities were committed. Overall I enjoyed my time in Poland.
Good mix of land tour & cruise of Greek islands but too many free days e.g. 1st day is nothing but optional cruise of 3 islands near Athens. After one week of land tour, we returned to Athens for another full day of nothing. Last day after the outer island cruise we again returned to Athens for another day of nothing. So basically 3 full days of nothing.
This was a bucket list tour and we were very pleased to have completed it. The tour was good, the tour director was great and we had a great group of fellow travellers. The optional excursions were all well worth while. The dinner and show in Branson; the dinner and Sandia Tramway in Albuquerque; and the St Louis Arch ride to the top were all exceptional. read more Hotels were mostly very good with one or two exceptions. As always, Hannah from Global Journeys did an outstanding job with our booking and we will continue to use Global Journeys for all our bookings.
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour ! I can't begin to explain the many wonderful sights we saw, just amazing!! A beautiful bunch of people on the coach, who became like long lost friends very early on in the tour. Accommodation was great . The only small complaint was that it was all a bit rushed, but given the distance we travelled and the many amazing read more things we saw, that was totally understandable. Would do it all again in a heartbeat. Jemma from Global Journeys was always on hand to answer my MANY questions prior to the trip. She showed extreme patience to my ignorance, given it was my first time traveling . One word of advice - always watch where your walking! Especially in Chicago, sidewalks very dodgy............ Overall the BEST travel experience I have ever had and will be very hard to top.
We enjoyed all the travel stops, Venezia, Milan, Cinque Terre and most of all Capri. People travelling with us were fantastic! Coach host Patrizia and driver Vinchenzo were the best and couldn’t do enough for us. It was a busy on the go trip which was needed if you wanted to see so many interesting places. Accommodation was not always the best, in some read more places I’d rate it a 2 star while others were very good at 4 star. I would recommend Cosmos overall for an enjoyable and memorable tour.

Eastern Us & Canada Grand Vacation

We had Eastern Canada on our wishlist, and our researching found this excursion, which worked in with our primary reason for the trip (our grandson got married in NY Central Park). The motor coach, driver and tour director were very good. The mix of travellers from 'related' countries (Australia, New Zealand, England, Scotland and Wales) was also very read more good, AND no one in the group was of those annoying types who was always late or overbearing.
The selected hotels were generally on par with expectations of Cosmos tours, with the odd occasional surprise. There was one disconcerting aspect, which we knew about when booking - predominately no included breakfast. This is a deviation from all other Cosmos tours that we have taken. The optional excursions were generally well utilised. The amount of spare time was more than sufficient for personal usage - either exploration or relaxation.

I was disappointed by the Alhambra, the main reason for booking this trip, as the blue and white mosaic tiles that are shown on television were nowhere in evidence, although the gardens were lovely. On the other hand there was a lot of interesting tile-work in the cities on houses and other buildings, and the cathedrals and other churches were extremely read more impressive. There was also a lot of very boring driving hours on the coach with endless fields of olive trees.
This being our very first tour, it was very good. Our Tour Director (Melanie Wagner) was very good. The coach driver (Jonathan) was very good and we felt very safe with his driving abilities. The tour over all was about the right time, although a couple of places we could have done an extra day, as it was very fast and short. The only complaint is the read more Inn of Chicago was a little tired as the room was looking old, the carpet needed to be replaced as it had holes in.

This was truly an amazing holiday booked through Global Journeys. All went very smoothly, took the worry out of us having to organise it and Global Journeys has so many trips so you can compare. I felt that Cosmos exceeded our expectations with our excellent guide, and great accommodation and plenty of time to ourselves as well. This trip is a must read more I really liked the relaxed way, no meals were included but that did not bother us as there are so many places to eat, we took cereal with us, bought fruit and went out at night.
All the hotels were centrally located. The optional extras were not forced onto anyone you could do some or none completely up to you, the ones we took were so much fun. I never dreamt that at my age I would be zip lining through dense forest high up in the mountains it was just brilliant. Overall this was a well organised tour with a great tour director and I would not hesitate to book again with Global Journeys or Cosmos.

Our experiences on this tour were very positive. Our tour director was well spoken, polite and enjoyed a good sense of humour. His knowledge of the colourful history of Ireland and its people was extensive and enriched our enjoyment of the tour considerably. Our driver too was very good at his job and most helpful. The hotels we stayed at were all of read more a high standard and the included meals more than adequate. Some of the optional activities seemed somewhat expensive but most were worthwhile. Our local Belfast guide was exceptional and we enjoyed magic weather for our Dingle Peninsula and Ring of Kerry tour. All in all a great tour with companionable company.
I enjoyed the tour on the whole. The sights and destinations were great. Our group all got on very well together which was lucky. The accommodation in Athens was great. However, the accommodation was not so good during the tour. Some of the hotels had things missing or not working in the room e.g: in Olympia the air conditioning! I would rather have read more paid more for the tour to get better accommodation.
The food was not very enjoyable. Some of the buffet breakfasts and dinners were inedible. The hot food was cold and the cold food was warm! The included lunches were at restaurants that didn't cater for everyone. Some of us only felt like a sandwich but only cooked food was ever offered! The 'included' wine was awful.
Most of the optional tours were fine. The driver and tour guide were great.

The hotels were fabulous. The tour guide we had Michelle was absolutely fabulous would recommend her very highly. Nothing was too much gave a lot of information. The whole tour was wonderful. Rocky Mountain excellent silver class. Was great I thought even better than gold class, food fantastic all the crew in our carriage went out of they way to make read more us have a good time. Unfortunately we didn’t see and bears which was disappointing. On the Volendam on the second night on the ship the crew noticed that the spare bed slats were broken. Two nights later during the night water started leaking from the ceiling above my bed. So the next day I couldn’t go in my room most of the day due to having repairs done. The stewards where fabulous apart from that everything else was good.
Great trip through 8 states, lots of American history as well as the Route 66 was a pleasant surprise. Steve the tour guide was fantastic, accommodation lovely. Highly recommend this trip.
From the start the tour was relaxed entertaining and well managed by the tour director, the pace was in line with what I expected and the hotels where excellent. Happy with atmosphere in the bus and the free time, i was able to see all the places I expected along and off route 66. Overall I rates this trip excellent and the tour director was excellent read more and issues was handled well, this made for a worry less holiday.

Well organised tour with some exceptional excursions. Some hotels were below par and was disappointed. The tour leader and city tour guides were well informed and friendly, appreciated their services. Overall, a satisfactory journey.
Trip was great, sites amazing and Beatrix was a great tour leader. As I am 70, I was pleased the tour was no longer than 12 days, as the pace of the trip began to take its toll as it neared the end. On a whole the standard of the accommodation was only average, some places were good. The accommodation in Copenhagen was awful (my room at least), while read more the accommodation in Bromma was great. I thought it was a strange choice as it was close to the domestic terminal and everyone on tour was an international traveller.
The booking experience was efficient to a point. I found it strange that I booked through what was marked on the internet as Australian site for Globus/Cosmos. Georgie couldn’t have been more helpful but the optional extras had to be booked through another site which led to some confusion.

Highlight - well organised. Driver/ Tour Director - both excellent. The following needs Improvement: Hotels - few of the hotels needed to be upgraded. Dinners - main course needs to have options (most of them served Beef & Pork). Coaches - internet access should be available (due to the time difference). People - needs proper introduction on the first read more day (maybe a proper dinner & mingle time) sorry to say some of them never spoke in the entire trip, which I feel a bit odd. Weather condition - attire must be informed as most of them brought summer clothes, most of the places were very cold which was unexpected. Last day dispersal - was a bit of disappointment, last stop Paris needed more days & internal tours included. Overall trip was exciting and enjoyed every part of it.
