Thought starting with a free day unnecessary. Tour manager and driver were excellent - organised, helpful and congenial. Accommodation and meal at Fitzroy Crossing below standard and $20 compensation seems inadequate. Generally I would have liked a little more free time at the end of each day. Sometimes a bare hour was all there was. Meals could be later.
We have been on several guided coach tours before. This one stood out the most as with only a small number of guests on board, the tour was very personal and intimate. Easy, relaxed and enjoyable. No rush. Tour Director Lu was very knowledgeable, caring and a perfect entertainer. Our coach driver was also a great expert. 'Inclusions' and 'optionals' read more were well balanced. Most importantly unlike our experience before on several other tours, there was no pressure to buy the 'optionals'. Always honest advise was provided. Being in New Zealand, tipping did not seem to be a big issue either. Overall a great enjoyable holiday. Will do it again!
Great value, excellent itinerary. The tour guide was interesting and informative and went out of her way to ensure that everyone had an enjoyable experience.

I was very satisfied with the journey and with the services of Global Journeys. Everything was well organized and went very well. The Coach was in an excellent condition, the seats very comfortable and the Driver excellent. The accommodations were in good condition and the daily breakfast-buffets and the included lunches and dinners very nice. If I read more have the opportunity to travel again to Australia (or somewhere else), I will again use your services.
It was an interesting trip. Our tour guide Nellie Sullivan was enthusiastic and informative and Mark our driver was very good on the roads and the trip generally. Favourite moments were Broome and the Stairway to the Moon, the Geiki Gorge and Ord River cruises although the Ord was my favourite. You could include another cruise. The guides were also read more interesting and informative and the organisers of the Ord cruise surprised us with afternoon tea and someone had even made gluten free cakes, a lovely touch. I also enjoyed the visit to the Yiylli Aboriginal Community and their art gallery - one of the highlights as was Ted, our Aboriginal Guide at the Argyl diamond mine. More of these Aboriginal experiences would be good.I was impressed with the Emma Gorge resort. Also the chef at Fitzroy Crossing accommodation was very helpful about g/f food and even made me a special dessert. My only crticism was that the g/f options weren't always available which is why I was appreciative when anyone made a special effort. Thre were two of us on the trip who had to follow a g/f diet. Most of the accommodation was very good especially The Cable Beach Resort. Overall it was an intense and inspirational time, the landscapes and people were amazing and worth every cent. One criticism, we were strongly encouraged not to use the toilet on the coach, which is a bit restrictive for a tour which included many over 55s - sometimes there were long delays between stops.
Tour was great!!! The tour guide (Mark) was very knowledgeable as was the drive (Paul). The New Zealand scenery was beautiful especially the South Island. Thanks for your help in setting it up.
Our tour was amazing, our guide Nellie, one in a million and so so knowledgeable and in touch with the Kimberley's. And Mark the Driver superb also. AAT has very high standards and these two certainly are valued members, they were a delight. Scenery was breathtaking and the people we met along the way all lovely and made our journey special too, be read more it our travel companions, hotel staff or tour guides - all very special. Bruce in the Bungles and Dylan on the Ord River the real stand outs. Loved it!!

The trip was fantastic, AAT Kings excelled themselves once again. Well planned and well organised. Good accommodation and meals in the outback. Beautiful landscapes and magnificent cruises. Top marks to Driver, Mark and also to Tour Guide, Nellie for sharing her knowledge and the history of the areas we travelled through. Also thanks for the little read more touches like wine at sunset over the Kimberleys on an unused airstrip and drinks at the Sandalwood Factory. Thanks to Georgie from Global Journeys for all her administrative skills in organising the tour and for arranging extra accommodation and Day Tours in Perth and Darwin to coincide with our visit to Western Australia and the Northern Territory. I would recommend this tour as a 'MUST DO'.

We would recommend this trip to anyone. Accommodation was great, & the itinerary was interesting & varied; made even better with Nellie's inside knowledge. We were very lucky in that everyone on our coach trip mixed well, & as a result it made it lots of fun. In fact it has resorted our faith in coach travel; as believe me we have had some duds, & read more that had really put us off. We were also lucky to have Mark as our driver & knew we were in very safe hands.
The tour was very well organized and run. Ted is an excellent tour guide. Acommodations were very good and the food was fine. A suggestion would be to let us know about things to do in cities where we stayed for the night. We missed a place to see Kiwis because we just happened to enter the place about 1/2 hour before we were to leave.

I believe THIS was our BEST tour ever & we have done a few. Alan you made this a wonderful holiday for read more Helena, Maisie, Maria & I, because you took care of us - thank you! To our Driver Paul Luxmore, thank you for your skill, your friendship, your commentary, and for introducing us to the beautiful music of Howard Morrison. I would also like to commend you on the cleanliness of the coach & the care you took with our luggage.
When booked I thought we were on an organised tour with AAT Kings. It turned out to be a couple of tours by other operators and accommodation before & after so it was a bit confusing especially as our first tour was changed and we weren't notified. We enjoyed ourselves though and would recommend Stamford Plaza Adelaide as they went out of their way read more to help us. Also the trip to Kangaroo Island was wonderful. I will get a quote from Global Journeys for my next trip which will hopefully be later this year.
Very happy with holiday but would have liked a little more free time and not getting up so early of a morning. But overall these were minor complaints. Our guide Tony and driver Darren were the best and would have no problems in recommending them for higher honours.
Coach was comfortable and the river cruises were a real joy 1

This was a great tour. First time in Tasmania and learned a lot from our excellent tour guide. Would have appreciated fewer one night stay overs. Some of the beds were very hard. All the hotels were clean and most of them had decent meals and service. Coach was comfortable and the river cruises were a real joy. Everyone was very friendly.
From start to finish this was a thoroughly professional job. Georgie managed our enquiries and booking in an efficient, reassuring and speedy manner which was important as we were booking from the UK. The tour of Tasmania was excellent in terms of the guide, driver, itinerary and most of the accommodation. There were a few niggles: 1 we were allocated read more a room with a connecting door for 3 of the nights. This meant that we could hear and be heard by the adjacent room. 2 in Queenstown, the motel and the food were below the standard expected. We were locked out of the hotel before breakfast, having taken our bags to the coach in the rain, we understood that the dining room would be locked but we could at least have been allowed to wait in the bar or at Reception!

Loved my tour. Our Tour Guide was outstanding - she was knowledgeable and informative and very friendly. Didn't like all the rules the coach driver sent our way...a bit much. Loved where we went, loved Kirby's assistance at Global Journeys and would recommend this tour to others.
Overall great trip, and were rewarded with fantastic weather all the way which was a bonus. Certainly saw a lot of New Zealand in 17 days. Tour guide did a great job and entertained us all with his info and jokes! Lady coach driver did an amazing job on those narrow winding mountainous roads! Tour guide and coach driver teamed well together. Only slightly read more negative points were that on an odd day here and there it seemed that perhaps a few more stops at local places of interest could easily have been included by AAT Kings to break the travelling and show us a little bit more of the country. Which brings me to my other point, which is that on a number of occasions when we were given a set time to be back at the coach, some passengers were often late which meant that time was wasted for us all.

All up we enjoyed our tour of Tasmania. Would have liked to spend our free time in Hobart closer to the main shopping area instead of near the restaurant area as we had already had lunch at Richmond. Our tour guide and driver were excellent and can recommend this tour. Thanks to Global Journeys and Kirby for their excellent service.
Lovely trip. Good accommodation. Tour guides very experienced and helpful. Food too much but better than too little - have put on weight. Good overall experience to learn about Tasmanian history and industry etc. Even the weather was pretty good. At the Cataract falls a small map at the outset would have been helpful as too much info from Greg to take read more in. Spent the afternoon there after the coach left. One of the highlights of the tour. It was good to have that free time in an interesting area. Leave out the Swiss village. Good for a toilet stop. Transfers to the hotels and the airport were appreciated. Thanks a lot. Really good trip. Mark was a very competent driver and Greg was a load of fun.
Rayand I thoroughly enjoyed the Tasmanian Wonders. It was an 'on-the-go' tour but we never heard any complaints from our fellow travellers who were mainly in the older group from several countries, although Australia and New Zealand did dominate the nationalities. Both Greg (the Tour Director) and Mark (the coach driver) both extremely professional read more made it an incredible experience that we enjoyed. There were lots of laughs and good banter amongst us while enjoying our meals at the hotels. We did enjoy the variety of stops and the scenery was so different to what we have here in Queensland. Fantastic trip for Ray and I and a big thank you Hannah for all your assistance in making it such a great experience.
