Will definitely travel with AAT Kings again   0 , Australia, Jan 2014
A great tour, of the east coast of Tasmania. Our tour guide, Greg was excellent, knowledgable and took care of all our travel arrangements with ease and in an organised manner. Global journeys were prompt in replying to email requests and organised the trip well. I will definitely travel with AAT Kings again.
An excellent way to see both South and North Islands   0 , Australia, Jan 2014
As we had been on AAT Kings 'Southern Spectacular' in 2011 the first 5 days were almost a repeat of that tour. However with a different Tour Guide and Coach Driver these 5 days were just as interesting as the first time. I cannot speak too highly of both Tour Guide, Mark Hockey and Coach Driver, Paul Luxmoore. The inclusion of the overnight cruise ...read more on Milford Mariner is a 'must' to include in all future tours. The accommodation was of a high standard and all meals were excellent. Having been to New Zealand 4 times now, I would recommend this tour as an excellent way to see both South and North Islands on one tour. I also wish to thank Geogie Wagpole from Global Journeys for her help and assistance on both our tours.
A fantastic experience   0 , Australia, Jan 2014
Best Western Launceston was the only wobble as it was 35 degrees and the hotel had only semi-useless evaporative coolers, no air con installed anywhere in building. With global warming, it needs to change or the tour needs to change accommodation. Otherwise, we thought the tour guide Christin was exceptional, and everything else made for a fantastic ...read more experience. Thank you Kirby and Global Journeys.
Will definitely use Global Journey's again   0 , Australia, Jan 2014
Kirby was amazing from the point of contact to the finalisation of our tour. I will definitely use Global Journey's again and have recommended them to a number of friends. I also found someone on the tour that booked through Kirby.
It was really amazing!   0 , Australia, Jan 2014
I enjoyed it a lot. It was really amazing! Thank you for organizing such interesting places to visit and see! I look forward to do more of the same.
I would definitely go on an AAT Kings tour again   0 , Australia, Jan 2014
Enjoyed the tour operators' experience in showing us features/areas I would not have done on my own. A friendly, mixed group of people on our tour, you could dine with someone every meal, or choose to have free time in your room. Most accommodation was very good, all were clean but the meals at Strahan and Cradle Mountain were standouts. The walk along ...read more the lake at Cradle Mountain was fabulous and would have preferred more time walking around this natural beauty. I would definitely go on an AAT Kings tour again, this time Western Australia, money permitting.
We experienced & saw a lot!   0 , Australia, Jan 2014
I decided last minute to do the 10 days Tasmanian Wonders tour. Global Journeys were fantastic in helping me organise my trip. Travelling with AAT Kings was amazing, the coach was always clean & the staff (Carolyn & John) were always friendly & willing to go out of their way to help. Carolyn was also a wealth of information, she knew the history & stories ...read more of Tasmania off the top of her head. The itinerary was very well planned, we experienced & saw a lot!
Excellent guide and bus driver   0 , United Kingdom, Dec 2013
Really enjoyed the tour. Excellent guide and bus driver. The accommodation was first class, with one exception, in Rockhampton. We would recommend the tour to friends.
Tour guide and coach driver were fantastic   1 , Australia, Dec 2013
This was our first experience on a coach tour so we didn't know what to expect. Alan the tour guide and coach driver were fantastic. Accommodation was a little disappointing in some places and the fact that the itinerary was reversed at the last minute was also disappointing. We would have preferred to have spent less time in the coach, although with ...read more the distances travelled there was no other way. Perhaps in future we would choose a tour where we had more free time and perhaps a smaller group as there were 48 in ours.
Very relaxed on a very comfortable coach   0 , New Zealand, Dec 2013
Very relaxed on a very comfortable coach. Because we were just a small group we all became like family - many new friends made. Some of the places we visited we probably would not have known about or seen if exploring Tasmania on our own. Wonderful to sit back and enjoy the journey.
I enjoyed this tour greatly   0 , Germany, Dec 2013
This tour I enjoyed greatly and like to share my memories with friends. I also give my thanks to Michelle, our tour consultant and the coach driver for their friendliness and kindness.
Very happy with the coach tour experience in the South Island   1 , Australia, Dec 2013
Both Kerry and myself were very happy with the coach tour experience in the South Island of New Zealand. Everything was so well organised from the moment we stepped off the plane at Christchurch. We were met by an AAT Kings representative and driven to the hotel where we joined the other tourists for the induction meeting. There we met our Tour Guide, ...read more Ted, who proved to be a mine of information through the whole tour. We didn't have to look at Google because he new everything that was asked of him. He was passionate about his country and it showed with his enthusiasm. Also a good rapport with the driver. All the hotels along the way were adequate for this type of trip and the breakfasts were standard. The scenery was as you'd expect - fantastic, along with some of the activities that were laid on. Queenstown was probably the highlight for us and the steamship cruise to the farm for that awesome buffet barbecue. Definitely money well spent and looking forward to the next trip. Thank you Global Journeys and AAT Kings.
AAT Kings ran the itinerary very smoothly   0 , United States, Dec 2013
My comments are in regard to the tour I took along the East Coast of Tasmania. The reason I didn't grade the tour higher is that we didn't see a Wine Glass Bay. I mean, we saw the entrance into it from a very far distance but we didn't have a Wine Glass Bay experience when it 's seen from a look out point. It is just so sad that I've missed this once ...read more in a lifetime opportunity to see one of the most beautiful places in the world while I was so close to it! I strongly suggest you to make some changes in the itienary that will accommodate visiting Wine Glass bay as optional excursion. Other than this very big disadvantage, AAT Kings ran the itinerary very smoothly and the tour guide was excellent and this is what I was expecting. Thank you for my nice holiday and Merry Christmas to you!
Such happy memories   0 , Australia, Dec 2013
Our recent trip to Tasmania was outstanding. I can't thank Kirby enough for all her advice and help, and yes I e-mailed and called her a lot. Kirby was always willing to help me with even small questions and everything went without a hitch. Kirby even planned my 2 extra days stay. All our paper work was in order, simply great. I would highly recommend ...read more Global Journeys and AAT Kings and plan to contact Kirby should I travel again. Just saw Kirbys' photo and she is simply lovely - you have so made a difference to travel for me & my elderly mother in law whom I travelled with, are still talking about our trip and we share such happy memories.
Tour director was outstanding, thanks again!   0 , Australia, Nov 2013
We booked through Global Journeys for our recent trip to New Zealand. We travelled with AAT Kings on the New Zealand Marvel Tour. This was a special trip as it was the first overseas trip for my 84 year old Mother in Law, along with us came my sister and her husband and my cousin and her husband, so all up there were 7 of us. Kirby booked and organised ...read more everything for us extremely well which made our trip very enjoyable. Also the tour director Ngaire from AAT Kings was outstanding. Thanks again!
Well paced tour, no hassles   1 , Australia, Nov 2013
My experience with Global Journeys was great, considering the trouble I had with cancellations of the seats twice by AAT Kings. The tour was excellent with fantastic service by staff members all round. Accommodation was excellent, the staff members were all very friendly. Well paced tour, no hassles and great driver and guide.
Very impressed with the driver and tour operator   0 , Australia, Nov 2013
I am writing on behalf of my mother and myself. I was very impressed with the enthusiasm and energy of the driver and tour operator who kept us on time, informed and entertained.
Wonderful experience that I will remember for the rest of my life   1 , Australia , Nov 2013
Wonderful experience that I will remember for the rest of my life and I would do it again and again.
Itinerary, tour director and tour bus driver were all excellent   1 , United States, Nov 2013
The hotels/motels were the low point of the tour, which was generally very well done. Tour itinerary, tour director and tour bus driver were all excellent. I didn't expect a lot since most of the cities and/or towns were not areas with large populations. However, one motel ran out of gas and there was no hot water. Unacceptable. The food served as part ...read more of the tour was decent enough. The best hotel, which was excellent, was in Fremantle. The choice for Perth was not a good one. Perth, being a major city, had to offer numerous choices. There had to be a better hotel than the Travelodge. Global Journeys and Kirby did an excellent job. I was a little hesitant doing all of this online, but Kirby handled everything perfectly and on time. Thank you for an excellent experience. This was our third trip to Australia and we enjoyed each one. It was well worth the travel time. Some of our American friends don't know what they are missing.
Early dinners were the downside   0 , United Kingdom, Oct 2013
Only downside was the incredibly early included evening meal 6.30p.m. and once 6p.m. All over by the very latest 8 p.m. These early dinners were in small towns were there was nothing to do after dinner. If the meal was (say) 7.30p.m. we could, at least, have a leisurely shower and a pre-dinner drink in the bar before going in to dinner. Better for ...read more us and more profit for the hotel.
