Overall great trip 2 New Zealand Magic , Australia, Mar 2014
Overall great trip, and were rewarded with fantastic weather all the way which was a bonus. Certainly saw a lot of New Zealand in 17 days. Tour guide did a great job and entertained us all with his info and jokes! Lady coach driver did an amazing job on those narrow winding mountainous roads! Tour guide and coach driver teamed well together. Only slightly read more negative points were that on an odd day here and there it seemed that perhaps a few more stops at local places of interest could easily have been included by AAT Kings to break the travelling and show us a little bit more of the country. Which brings me to my other point, which is that on a number of occasions when we were given a set time to be back at the coach, some passengers were often late which meant that time was wasted for us all.
Guide and driver were excellent and we recommend this tour 1 Tassie's East Coast Highlights , Australia, Mar 2014
All up we enjoyed our tour of Tasmania. Would have liked to spend our free time in Hobart closer to the main shopping area instead of near the restaurant area as we had already had lunch at Richmond. Our tour guide and driver were excellent and can recommend this tour. Thanks to Global Journeys and Kirby for their excellent service.
Lovely trip 1 Tasmanian Wonders , New Zealand, Mar 2014
Lovely trip. Good accommodation. Tour guides very experienced and helpful. Food too much but better than too little - have put on weight. Good overall experience to learn about Tasmanian history and industry etc. Even the weather was pretty good. At the Cataract falls a small map at the outset would have been helpful as too much info from Greg to take read more in. Spent the afternoon there after the coach left. One of the highlights of the tour. It was good to have that free time in an interesting area. Leave out the Swiss village. Good for a toilet stop. Transfers to the hotels and the airport were appreciated. Thanks a lot. Really good trip. Mark was a very competent driver and Greg was a load of fun.
Such a great experience 1 Tasmanian Wonders , Australia, Mar 2014
Rayand I thoroughly enjoyed the Tasmanian Wonders. It was an 'on-the-go' tour but we never heard any complaints from our fellow travellers who were mainly in the older group from several countries, although Australia and New Zealand did dominate the nationalities. Both Greg (the Tour Director) and Mark (the coach driver) both extremely professional read more made it an incredible experience that we enjoyed. There were lots of laughs and good banter amongst us while enjoying our meals at the hotels. We did enjoy the variety of stops and the scenery was so different to what we have here in Queensland. Fantastic trip for Ray and I and a big thank you Hannah for all your assistance in making it such a great experience.
One of the best we have done 1 Tasmanian Wonders , New Zealand, Mar 2014
Really enjoyed the tour. One of the best we have done. We were taken to places that we may have missed out on if we had undertaken the trip under our own steam. Will strongly recommend to everyone possible.
Very pleased that I did this tour 1 Tassie's Wilderness Icons , Australia, Mar 2014
Overall I was very pleased that I did the tour as the drive from Hobart to Queenstown is boring and would be terrible on your own in bad weather. It was good to meet interesting people on the tour and visit many great sights. Tall Timbers accommodation was the best, wish we could have spent longer there while the accommodation in Queenstown was less read more than average, though clean, the staff were very pleasant however the owner lacked friendly service skills and we had 2 nights there. There must be a way to change the tour to avoid Queenstown all together or only stay for one night. The river cruise was brilliant, especially the visit to Sarah Island, the staff were friendly and helpful and the lunch was excellent. A great day out. The tour guide spoke well and while he gave us some good information on the tour, I felt he was just doing his job and didn't want to do any more than he had to. The driver was excellent and felt very safe as he drove around the winding road.
An excellent holiday, beyond our expectation 1 Tasmanian Wonders , United Kingdom, Mar 2014
We had an excellent holiday in Tasmania, much and beyond to our expectation. The tour was well planned for seeing places, scenary and travelling stops. The guide was very good with lots of humour and knowledge. We felt very safe with the coach driver, through out the journey. The fellow tour paricipants were friendly and we had a great time travelling read more together. We will definitely recommend the tour and Global Journeys to our friends.
Will certainly be using Global J1ourneys for any future tours 3 Tasmanian Wonders , Australia, Mar 2014
Tasmanian Wonders tour with AAT Kings was great value for money. We normally go on premium tours but this was a low cost tour and the quality of the hotels and accommodation was great. We have used AAT Kings a number of times and this tour was up to their usual high standard. The local knowlege of our tour guide, Carolyn, was exceptional. This was our read more first experience with online booking and we will certainly be using Global Journeys (and tour consulant Kirby Graf) for any future tours - maybe Europe next year!
Most aspects of the tour were extremely satisfying 3 Southern Wonders , Australia, Mar 2014
This is our first bus tour experience. Most aspects of the tour were extremely satisfying. Our Tour Director and Driver were excellent, could not be faulted for their efforts, information and all the background work they did. They were very knowledgeable, relating stories of New Zealand, its people and their obvious love of country shone through. We read more were enthralled with all the scenery and diverse locations we were able to visit from the Itinerary. The optional tours offered were really good and gave a wide choice for the various people on board. We would certainly travel with Global Journeys in the future. Already thinking of taking maybe a river cruise, or another coach tour in Europe. We have enthused over the wonderful experience ever since we got back home.
Global Journeys and AAT Kings were great 1 , Canada, Feb 2014
The East Coast Explorer gave us a nice look at this area of Australia. Highlights were Fraser Island and Farm Homestead visit. Mission Beach Castaways resort on the beach was great - wished we could stay an extra day. We also really enjoyed Noosa. The only negative was the Travel Lodge Rockhampton - AC was noisy and the hallway carpet smelled so bad read more that we had to stop breathing in order to get to our room - think this stop over needs to be replaced. Global Journeys and AAT Kings were great.
Well paced and scenery was fantastic 1 Southern Wonders , Australia, Feb 2014
I had a fabulous holiday with the New Zealand South Island tour booked via Global Journeys. The hotels were comfortable, the tour well paced and scenery was fantastic. I really enjoyed my trip.
I shall be recommending this tour to my friends 1 Tasmanian Wonders , Australia, Feb 2014
We have just returned to Perth from a 10 day Wonder Tour of Tasmania. Our tour consultant, Kirby arranged everything very efficiently and we did not have to worry about a thing. The coach tour was with AAT Kings. To our driver John, who kept the coach in pristine condition both inside and out, we had the utmost faith in his driving ability. The first read more part of the tour up the west coast of the state was very windy and he looked after his passengers very well. To our Tour Guide, Tony, he was 1 in a million. His knowledge of the area was A1 and he kept us entertained with his stories of the past. He was very organised and the tour went very smoothly. As for the tour itself we saw a lot of Tasmania from the treacherous coastline, to the national parks and the convict days of Sarah Island and Port Arthur. Our accommodation was excellent and the meals were varied from A la carte to Buffet and well presented at all the locations. I shall be recommending this tour to my friends and ask them to use Kirby, at Global Journeys as their consultant.
A magical fortnight 1 New Zealand Marvel , Australia, Feb 2014
From first contact with Global Journeys, the planning was very easy and Michelle was prompt and attentive. The follow-up and updates together with finer detail in ensuring that all forms were available instilled confidence as to how the tour itself would run. I wasn't disappointed as Ngaire and Chris from AAT Kings cared very well for the passengers read more on our tour and were very friendly, great sense of humour but very professional. The New Zealand landscape was beautiful and there was so much information that people driving around in their cars wouldn't get to hear. Well done Global Journeys and AAT Kings travel for a magical fortnight.
Most enjoyable tour 1 , United Kingdom, Feb 2014
Most enjoyable tour. Everyone very helpful. It was nice for us to be able to place all the responsibilities in someone else's hands and just enjoy the trip. Thank you.
Tour gave us the overview of Tasmania we were seeking 1 Tasmanian Wonders , New Zealand, Feb 2014
A bit too busy for older travelers, with so many early starts. Tour meals were excellent. We would have preferred less 'commercial' stops - e.g. bypass Swiss Village, Lavender Farm guide was too inexperienced to be informative. Optional evening Ghost Tour at Port Arthur was dreadful, not entertaining nor scary as promoted, not a skillful guide - a total read more waste of time and money! Including the Treetop Walk would be good. Excellent drivers, pleasant and helpful. Overall, the tour gave us the overview of Tasmania that we were seeking. Thanks for your help.
Great tour, covers pretty much all the major sights 1 New Zealand Magic , Australia, Feb 2014
Great tour, covers pretty much all the major sights on both islands. Our tour guide, Cam, was very knowledgable & was always on hand to deal with any problems. Only issue with accommodation were the Ibis hotels (Christchurch & Rotorua). The rooms were smallish compared with the other hotels during the tour & for some reason had 2 double beds in them read more which made the rooms extremely cramped with little space to move about in.
We enjoyed the tour very much and look forward to another 1 Tasmanian Wonders , Australia, Feb 2014
Hannah looked after us from Global Journeys and like before was always prompt, obliging and helpful. We enjoyed the tour very much and look forward to going somewhere in the world again soon. One other factor that made the tour special is the Coach Driver Tom, we felt completely at ease with him at the helm, such professionalism and just like the Tour read more Guide Robin very approachable, courteous and knowledgeable (Excellent). We had a lot of fun with the other guests on the Tour. One thing I would of loved to have happened was to have a group photograph. The name tag was a good idea and you could even have a first name list of everyone as well? Tasmania a very nice place with a pace to match, pity it wasn't green, it would have looked spectacular. I hope they get rain soon.
A great trip, would go back and visit again 1 Tasmanian Wonders , Australia, Feb 2014
Had a great trip, the weather was perfect. Tom the bus driver was very friendly and courteous. Our tour guide Robin was very knowledgeable and friendly. The other passengers were all nice and we got on well with each other. Met some lovely people on our tour. Tasmania is a lovely place, would go back and visit again.
An enjoyable trip, would definitely recommend 1 New Zealand Magic , Australia, Jan 2014
We had an enjoyable trip, coach full of people. Our deliver Alan was experienced along with tour director Tania she was lovely and went out of her way to make us fell comfortable. Would definitely recommend.
Happy with the tour 1 Tassie's Wilderness Icons , Australia, Jan 2014
Thanks for the opportunity to provide feedback. I was generally happy with the tour and also meeting up with people I didn't know. We really seemed to get on really well which made the tour more enjoyable. The following are some things worth considering. The stay at Queenstown and the tours taken from there are worth reviewing. The tours could include read more a new destination in order to avoid return trips. For the 7 day tour it was a shame we didn't have a final night meal together - everyone went in different directions. And finally the mix of Single and Married Couples was good - thus allowing the Single people to mingle easily! Is this something you always consider!
