Wonderful Australian hospitality and professionalism 2 Perfect Tasmania , United Kingdom, Jan 2016
I would certainly book with AAT Kings again (and through Global Journeys). This was a really well-designed holiday and I got to see things I would never in a million years have seen for myself. Everyone was utterly professional: this has been my general experience in my two trips to Australia so far, but it was especially true without exception on read more this visit. I have particular praise for the tour-operator: managing so many people, being informed and entertaining, remaining cheerful through organisational hassles - she couldn't have done a better job. Just to explain my ratings: the tour accommodation was very good, and I only remove one star because of little glitches such as - why no WiFi in the restaurant in the Grand Chancellor in Hobart? Why such noisy air-conditioning in the Grand Chancellor in Launceston? Why such dreadful lack of sound-proofing in the hotel in Table Mountain? The coach was really very good, and it was good to have a (slow) charging facility through a USB port; there was WiFi (rationed), but quite often it would go out of range, which was a bit of a nuisance.

The tour pace was fast, which I suppose is a necessary evil given the amount that needs to be packed in, but it really was regrettable that we had so little time to look at the astonishing Wall by the phenomenally talented Greg Duncan (instead we had to rush away to lunch: I'd much rather have stayed and gazed at the carving). None of these are gripes: some of them are no doubt easily solved. All in all I had a marvellous time, felt myself in totally safe, professional hands: a big thank you to everyone involved.
One of the best trips I have done   2 Tasmanian Wonders , SA, Australia, Dec 2015
Everything was great. Our driver Tom was very good and Dave did a great job as our tour guide. The penguin tour was lovely (see pic!) A big thanks to AAT Kings and Global Journeys, and not to forget Michelle White, our Tour Consultant.
Beautiful New Zealand 1 Kia Ora New Zealand , QLD, Australia, Dec 2015
This was my second visit to New Zealand. The tour director Tania and Paul our driver were fantastic. My fellow travellers were mostly retired professionals from USA, UK, SA and Australia. Unfortunately in course of the tour people were joining and leaving. The highlights were Milford Sound, TranzAlpine Train, Maori village and farewell dinner! For me read more it was uplifting to see Christchurch being rebuilt and Christchurch Art Gallery reopened. I will certainly book another AAT Kings tour with Global Journeys.
Terrific trip! 2 , Australia, Nov 2015
Thank you Georgie for once again organising our holiday so successfully. Our bus tour with AAT Kings from Sydney to Cairns was a terrific trip! Our fellow travellers were so friendly and we had a wonderful time together, there were 8 Australians and 20 Internationals. The highlights were the Great Barrier Reef, Fraser Island, Daydream Island and Mission read more Beach, to name a few. It was so nice to see another section of our diverse country, we saw a working cattle station, cane fields, banana & pineapple plantations, tropical rainforests and so much more. We hope we can see another slice of our great country in the not too distant future, and we would certainly book again with Global Journeys!
Tassie Getaway 1 Tassie Getaway , NSW, Australia, Nov 2015
Domenic and I were very impressed with all of the tour but felt it was not long enough though. The 1st day that it supposed to have started, it was a get to know you time and the last day was breakfast and leave so really it was only 4 days of touring. The Tour Director Dave was excellent very caring with all of us and very knowledgeable as well as read more Brett our driver. The places we stayed at were great and the tour was great very pretty. Only one criticism the modern Art Gallery in Mona we were not impressed and we stayed there too long. Maybe a younger group would like it. We just loved the ducks, lizards and peacocks that were roaming the grounds.
Wouldn't have it any other way. 1 Tasmanian Wonders , WA, Australia, Nov 2015
I saw so much more than I thought the tour would do. I was tired on returning home but wouldn't have it any other way. Many thanks to all involved.
Certainly travel with AAT Kings again. 1 Tasmanian Wonders , VIC, Australia, Nov 2015
We had a wonderful time and would certainly travel with AAT Kings again. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and she gave us a wealth of information about Tasmania which really enhanced our enjoyment of the tour.
Enjoyable trip with nice tour mates 1 Tasmanian Wonders , Singapore, Nov 2015
It was a good and enjoyable trip with nice tour mates, competent tour director ,Kelly and skillful coach driver, Tom. Would also like to compliment Yvonne Brooks for her professionalism in handling our tour booking.
A most enjoyable and relaxing holiday 1 Northern Spotlight , NSW, Australia, Oct 2015
A most enjoyable and relaxing holiday thank you, aided by a good group, fine weather, the guide (Mel) and the driver (Mark). Although we had previously visited the North Island on our own, the tour itinerary enabled us to visit and learn about areas not seen earlier. We would certainly advise a tour such as yours in preference to solo travel.
Great way to see Tasmania 1 Tasmanian Wonders , NSW, Australia, Oct 2015
We thought this was a great way to see Tasmania. The trip was certainly made more enjoyable by our tour guide Kelly and our coach driver Tom. They were informative, friendly, helpful and great travelling companions. As it was a short trip sometimes the early starts were a little tiring but if this is a problem for people I would suggest they take a read more longer trip. Overall a fabulous few days.
Nearly everything was excellent 3 South Western Escape , NZ, New Zealand, Oct 2015
We met Liz again who was our guide in the Kimberley in 2011! We would never have been able to cover so much ground without AAT. Nearly everything was excellent. I suppose time and distances precluded us from spending longer at some of the sites such as Cape le Grand NP. Having hearing problems, both my husband and I found the ding room layout at read more all hotels except the Fremantle Esplanade an ordeal as the noise of so many people talking and low ceilings made it impossible to have conversations - that is more our problem than AAT's but maybe smaller tables seating 4-6 people would work better. Thank you for organising it all so well.
Experience with AAT Kings was great 1 Tassie's Wilderness Icons , QLD, Australia, Oct 2015
Experience with AAT Kings was great. Would travel with them again anytime. Experience with Global Journeys was excellent too. Hannah especially, answered all my questions and got back to me quickly. As a first time tour traveller (and travelling alone) this made all the difference to me. Some of the tour was a bit fast paced. Could have spent more time read more in some places and people were a bit rushed when leaving. Would let travellers know that the coach is fitted with USB chargers for phones. As a first time traveller I wasn't aware of this until I actually got on the coach.
Recommend tour to anyone wanting to see Tasmania 1 Tasmanian Wonders , WA, Australia, Oct 2015
The tour was good value for money would recommend it to anyone wanting to see Tasmania you come away satisfied you have covered the lot. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and passionate, updated us with information which was relevant being a local. The driver was excellent, very experienced and hence we were able to enjoy the trip knowing we were read more in safe hands. It was good to see the excellent team working of the tour director and the driver. Thank you.
No doubt we will visit again 1 , NZ, New Zealand, Oct 2015
This was our first guided tour in Australia and we fully enjoyed not just the beautiful coastal towns but also the forest and islands we visited. The tour was organised very well to take care of everybody's travel plan from the first day of arrival to the last day of departure. We met many interested people (there were 40 people in our group), some read more of them spent up to four months travelling in Australia. it was a great holiday. No doubt we will have another visit in the near future to see other parts of the country.
I would definitely recommend this tour 5 Outback Adventure , NZ, New Zealand, Sep 2015
We had an exceptional Guide and Driver team. They worked well together and efficiency solved problems that other members of our tour had. We had the best holiday we ever had and would certainly use Global Journeys and AAT Kings again. There were some really special moments on the tour, moonrise over the Olgas, ( it was a super moon) The Earth's Sanctuary, read more sleeping in an underground room at Coober Pedy, walking round Uluru, awesome! It was a great experience, the driver and guide worked in together points of interest and lots of information on each area we traveled into. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Great tour and you definitely see a lot of New Zealand 2 New Zealand Vista , QLD, Australia, Sep 2015
I loved this tour, although I didn't like the fact that there were two coaches of AAT Kings and one coach with Trafalgar. Yes it did work but we didn't like that the others got to see things we didn't and we got to see things they didn't. It was a great tour and you definitely see a lot of New Zealand, the only thing I didn't like was getting to the read more hotels a bit late and on the travel days not much to see or do, probably needs to be longer. I would have rather spent more time in Dunedin instead of Queenstown.
Perfect New Zealand Vista   2 New Zealand Vista , QLD, Australia, Sep 2015
Perfect time of year, perfect length, awesome accommodation, great guide and driver, there is nothing at all I would recommend or improve about this trip. I would do it again for sure.
Overall a fantastic holiday 1 Tastes of Southern Australia , NZ, New Zealand, Sep 2015
We did have a problem with the documents. Some confusion over who had them. James our tour director found them and had them sent on to Melbourne. The B&B was a great idea. The very long bus day was too long and uncomfortable. It would have been better to stay somewhere else on route as everyone liked the small towns better than the cities. The Adelaide read more hotel was horrid, the rooms were stuffy and very hot. The desk said they were having trouble with the air conditioning but never fixed it or offered new rooms so it was a poor ending to a great holiday. Overall a fantastic holiday.
Entire trip was beyond expectations 1 New Zealand Magic , QLD, Australia, Aug 2015
New Zealand was WONDERFUL! The Tour Guide, Mark, was extremely knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble for him. Paul the driver was excellent, always felt safe with him on all roads. We saw so much of NZ, even more than expected. The entire trip was beyond expectations, the early starts some days were not so fun, but to see all we did required read more that sleep-in sacrifice. Hotels were great, some better than others, the food was lovely, but if I ever see a Pavlova again, I'll scream!! Our booking agent, Emily at Global Journeys, was very helpful, and even though I booked late, nothing was too much bother for her. Well done, Global Journeys and AAT Kings.. I'll be back!!
Would do it again 1 New Zealand Marvel , WA, Australia, Aug 2015
There was a lot crammed into a short time-frame, but then I knew what it would be like having checked the map beforehand. Driver and Tour Director were really good. We were very lucky with the weather - two or three wet days but wonderful snow in Milford, Exuberant snowball fights for folk that had never seen snow. Quite cold, but we had the advantage read more of only a few coaches on the road and at the venues. Would do it again.
