Superb worry free holiday   7 Untamed Kimberley , NSW, Australia, May 2016
Just returned from AAT Kings Untamed Kimberley tour. Having travelled with AAT Kings previously we expected it to be very good and we were not disappointed. While the accommodation and meals varied, naturally, depending on where we were in the Kimberley, it ranged from good to fantastic. How the team in Emma Gorge are able to provide meals of such excellence read more in the middle of nowhere I have no idea.... wow. Our wonderful, patient, knowledgeable and hard working tour guide Dave and driver Darren were just marvellous. We personally had no problems at all and those on our bus who did were able to be assisted efficiently, quietly and quickly by Dave and or Darren. The inclusions were wonderful as were optional extras.

Book early with Global Journeys if you want to do the full day flight/4WD tour into the Bungle Bungles. I shall never forget much of our trip but a real highlight was a visit to the Yiyilli aboriginal community. The bus was very comfortable, drives and accommodation all organised beautifully and with great thought for comfort. Our country is amazing and I highly recommend seeing it with AAT Kings.
Lovely Top End trip 4 Tropical Top End (May-Sep) , Australia, May 2016
We really enjoyed our trip. The coaches were excellent as were our tour drivers. Full of great communication and humour and our tour destinations were great. Food was good and the accommodation was up to standard except for one. We were so pleased with the way the whole tour was conducted we would certainly consider doing it again.....maybe to Alice read more Springs next time. Thank you Emily for organising everything so well for us.
Good trip except the weather did not cooperate. 1 Tasmanian Wonders , QLD, Australia, May 2016
The tour covered almost everything we wanted to see and do in Tasmania. The weather at this time of the Year (May) was wild, wet and windy but it was still possible to imagine how magnificent the scenery would be in good weather. The tour guide and bus driver were very professional and knowledgeable. The accommodation was quite good and the meals read more were more than adequate. The highlights for us were the Gordon River cruise with a stopover on Sarah Island, Cradle Mountain, and Port Arthur.
Most enjoyable and well organised and run trip 3 Tassie's Wilderness Icons , WA, Australia, Apr 2016
Organisation 9/10, our Driver and Tour Director were both professional and helpful. Margaret and Mark are to be complimented. Would we travel with AAT Kings again? Must say Hannah's suggestion we do the smaller version 6 nights was the correct one for our plans. The shifting of seats each day is a must and a good policy. Our fellow travellers were nice read more and punctual in returning to the coach. (not always the case). There were two talkers but sharing them around was OK.

We would consider using Global Journeys again and especially if Hannah was available. Her follow up and explanations and research was exceptional. Made online easier than expected. Accommodation at Wrest Point Excellent. Driver excellent. We plan to travel to Europe Aug 2017 if all goes well. Many thanks Hannah and Global Journeys.
Southern Wonders (AAT Kings) 3 Southern Wonders , VIC, Australia, Apr 2016
Great trip and scenery, enhanced by the great weather. Tour guide very knowledgeable and coach driver was very good. Great mix of participants who all mixed well together. Meals were great and substantial. Optional tours were fantastic and cruise through Milford sound brilliant.
Tasmanian Wonders   6 Tasmanian Wonders , Queensland, Australia, Mar 2016
This was a first for us in many ways, first time traveling on a tour and first time to Tasmania so we went with somewhat of an open mind. I have to say this tour was somewhat hectic, there were early mornings and many short stops but it covered Tasmania and gave us a taste of the place. The coach driver Tom and Tour Guide Veronica (who these days normally read more does only day tours) were really good, we enjoyed their commentary and knowledge and friendliness.

There were some things that would be good to change, like nowhere near enough time at Port Arthur, 3-4 hours is not enough, while the wine tasting and fruit farm could be removed. Why go to a fruit farm at the end of the tour for a start, but then it is seasonal and there was no fruit at this time of the year. There was no tour of the fruit farm or explanation of what they did, just come in and spend your money.

Accommodation in general was good, however West Point at Hobart is too far out of the way (35 min walk into Hobart) and very little in the vicinity of the hotel. Some of the accommodation also had bath shower combined which is not so good for some of the over 55's which this tour is aimed at. In the end I can say we did enjoy this tour, it has given us a taste of Tasmania and certainly we want to go back. I would recommend it to anyone who has never been, however I would caution anyone who has movement disabilities to choose a less hectic tour.
The Long White Cloud 7 Spirit of New Zealand , United Kingdom, Mar 2016
I have travelled with AAT Kings before and again this holiday was up to expectations. This tour states clearly it does not use five star hotels but hotels were always well equipped and spotlessly clean although some were a little faded in decor. Our tour guide was exceptional, such an enthusiastic, helpful, approachable and friendly person who conveyed read more to us her passion for her country. She was very knowledgeable and always had a welcoming smile on her face. Our driver too was very experienced and drove very safely leaving his passengers relaxed and comfortable in the very modern and smart coach which he kept immaculately clean. He also personally added a great deal to our trip experience. The tour itinerary was comprehensive covering the major sites of both North and South Islands. Highlights for me were many, staying overnight in a boat on Milford Sound, the Abel Tasman National Park, glow-worm caves, thermal pools, the Bay Of Islands and its beautiful coastline and turquoise sea. I could go on and on. The scenery is stunning and quite variable as you travel through different areas. I think the optional tours were quite expensive but everyone who joined them had an amazing experience.

Queenstown seems to be the adventure capital of the world and I loved staying the extra nights there to really get a feel for the place. The tour pace was good considering the miles we had to travel with obviously some early starts but then with quieter time interspersed and some free days for exploring on ones own. The stops for toilet breaks and coffee were welcome and often included some place of interest. I would definitely say to anyone thinking of joining this tour don't just think about it, do it! You won't be disappointed. I travelled in March and it was a little cooler but if you want to avoid the crowds this is the month to go. I would avoid January because the children from New Zealand I think are still off school and so there are more native people travelling as well as people from abroad. February is a good month to go but may be a little too hot for someone and is definitely busier I am told. It is amazing how you join a tour group with complete strangers. I always travel alone and end up having made some new friends. It is a sociable experience and if you are people friendly and respect one other then you will fit in very well.

As for my experience with booking with Global Journeys I would not hesitate to recommend them and I would certainly use them again. The consultant I dealt with was very efficient and friendly. She responded to my e-mails promptly. I have no complaints in that respect and can only compliment her on her high level of efficiency.
10 day Tamanian Wonders 1 Tasmanian Wonders , NSW, Australia, Mar 2016
Overall a very enjoyable trip with adequate accommodation, some I would even class as superior. As a single traveller I thought it very good value and the guide and coach driver were most obliging and congenial. One small complaint I had was the choice of the American country music that was played, which I would have tolerated in The USA , but found read more totally inappropriate for the tour. It was changed when I complained, regardless that the singers were Australian, but I found the 2 hours of for eg. The Tennessee Waltz, nauseating! The one coach trip I had enjoyed a number of years previously had played some really great Autralian ballads. Some of which I had not heard. The biggest reason I would possibly never go again was the early morning departures. As a retiree, I prefer to wake up with the birds and the sun. Not pre dawn! I found this most exhausting and would have preferred a 9am rather than 8am start. The early morning rush was a decided turn off.
A lovely holiday 2 Southern Spectacular , NSW, Australia, Feb 2016
This was a very enjoyable trip, well run and a beautiful country with friendly people. Completely and very competently organised by Hannah from Global Journeys - I loved it all.
Good Tassie Trip 2 Tasmanian Wonders , QLD, Australia, Feb 2016
The trip was good, the disappointment was only spending two hours at Port Arthur. The ghost tour was too late, the only session was 9:30pm. (GJ: I think that's the idea Betty, so it's scary!) We could have skipped the fruit farm and lavender farm which would have given us more time at Port Arthur and Richmond. Kerry the driver was very good & our tour guide was average.
Fabulous Tasmania   2 Tasmanian Wonders , NSW, Australia, Feb 2016
Loved my trip to Tasmania. Our Tour Director Caroline was great. She had a vast knowledge of Tasmania and its history and kept us all keen to hear more. The accommodation and food was lovely. Just loved walking with the penguins at Bicheno, the Gordon river Cruise, the Salamanca Markets and so much more. It was a busy 10 days and we had a great bus read more load of fellow tourists. Would recommend very highly to anyone who wants to get to see Tasmania.
Tasmanian adventure 2 Tasmanian Wonders , QLD, Australia, Feb 2016
I sent my in-laws on this trip. They are not very experienced travellers and had never been on a guided tour. I felt confident in sending them as I was sure they would not have to stress about anything and I was right! They said the trip was absolutely marvellous and they were so well cared for by their guide and coach driver...nothing was too much read more trouble. They met lots of lovely people and brought home many memories of fun times and wonderful history and scenery. Thank you to Hannah who made the booking of the tour effortless.
Wonderful trip to New Zealand 3 New Zealand Marvel , Australia, Jan 2016
Absolutely fantastic holiday from start to finish, everything was so well organised. Our tour guide Mel and our driver Mark were fantastic. Accommodation, food, highlight dinners and all tours were fabulous. Michelle our booking consultant was so helpful even though as I was booking for 8 people, 6 of which were in the UK. We couldn't have asked for read more a better holiday. We will definitely use Global Journeys and AAT Kings again.
Tasmanian Wonders   6 Tasmanian Wonders , Auckland, New Zealand, Jan 2016
It was a great way to see Tasmania & was very full on. Our Tour Guide Margaret was full of local information & well organised, & our Coach Driver Tom's driving was impeccable. Found the early morning starts a bit difficult, but we did pack in a lot in every day so can't complain. The scenery, Cradle Mountain & Dove Lake, Cape Tourville, the Nut at Stanley, read more Cataract Gorge, Highfield House, Port Arthur & Sarah Island - all the interesting places with their little quirks eg Sheffield- town of murals & Railton, with it's tree sculptures, all added to the wonderfulness that is Tasmania. For me the highlight was Port Arthur- what an incredible place - a beautiful bay, an old penitentiary full of history, both sad & interesting & so full of tales & times of those who have gone before. Make sure to spend plenty of time there. I would have liked to have spent more time at some places & less at others & perhaps one or two more places could have been included eg. The Wall in the Wilderness, & a visit to M.O.N.A. Accommodation & meals were all good value & it was a great way to meet lots of lovely people. In one word, this Tasmanian Wonders tour was "fabulous".
A lovely carefree holiday   3 Tasmanian Wonders , WA, Australia, Jan 2016
Better than expected. If we do another trip would happily book through Global Journeys. The accommodation in 2 places a bit below par - Queenstown and Launceston (no air con on hot days room with westerly aspect heated up in the afternoon sun. Fan was ineffective.
Wonderful Australian hospitality and professionalism 2 Perfect Tasmania , United Kingdom, Jan 2016
I would certainly book with AAT Kings again (and through Global Journeys). This was a really well-designed holiday and I got to see things I would never in a million years have seen for myself. Everyone was utterly professional: this has been my general experience in my two trips to Australia so far, but it was especially true without exception on read more this visit. I have particular praise for the tour-operator: managing so many people, being informed and entertaining, remaining cheerful through organisational hassles - she couldn't have done a better job. Just to explain my ratings: the tour accommodation was very good, and I only remove one star because of little glitches such as - why no WiFi in the restaurant in the Grand Chancellor in Hobart? Why such noisy air-conditioning in the Grand Chancellor in Launceston? Why such dreadful lack of sound-proofing in the hotel in Table Mountain? The coach was really very good, and it was good to have a (slow) charging facility through a USB port; there was WiFi (rationed), but quite often it would go out of range, which was a bit of a nuisance.

The tour pace was fast, which I suppose is a necessary evil given the amount that needs to be packed in, but it really was regrettable that we had so little time to look at the astonishing Wall by the phenomenally talented Greg Duncan (instead we had to rush away to lunch: I'd much rather have stayed and gazed at the carving). None of these are gripes: some of them are no doubt easily solved. All in all I had a marvellous time, felt myself in totally safe, professional hands: a big thank you to everyone involved.
One of the best trips I have done   2 Tasmanian Wonders , SA, Australia, Dec 2015
Everything was great. Our driver Tom was very good and Dave did a great job as our tour guide. The penguin tour was lovely (see pic!) A big thanks to AAT Kings and Global Journeys, and not to forget Michelle White, our Tour Consultant.
Beautiful New Zealand 1 Kia Ora New Zealand , QLD, Australia, Dec 2015
This was my second visit to New Zealand. The tour director Tania and Paul our driver were fantastic. My fellow travellers were mostly retired professionals from USA, UK, SA and Australia. Unfortunately in course of the tour people were joining and leaving. The highlights were Milford Sound, TranzAlpine Train, Maori village and farewell dinner! For me read more it was uplifting to see Christchurch being rebuilt and Christchurch Art Gallery reopened. I will certainly book another AAT Kings tour with Global Journeys.
Terrific trip! 2 , Australia, Nov 2015
Thank you Georgie for once again organising our holiday so successfully. Our bus tour with AAT Kings from Sydney to Cairns was a terrific trip! Our fellow travellers were so friendly and we had a wonderful time together, there were 8 Australians and 20 Internationals. The highlights were the Great Barrier Reef, Fraser Island, Daydream Island and Mission read more Beach, to name a few. It was so nice to see another section of our diverse country, we saw a working cattle station, cane fields, banana & pineapple plantations, tropical rainforests and so much more. We hope we can see another slice of our great country in the not too distant future, and we would certainly book again with Global Journeys!
Tassie Getaway 1 Tassie Getaway , NSW, Australia, Nov 2015
Domenic and I were very impressed with all of the tour but felt it was not long enough though. The 1st day that it supposed to have started, it was a get to know you time and the last day was breakfast and leave so really it was only 4 days of touring. The Tour Director Dave was excellent very caring with all of us and very knowledgeable as well as read more Brett our driver. The places we stayed at were great and the tour was great very pretty. Only one criticism the modern Art Gallery in Mona we were not impressed and we stayed there too long. Maybe a younger group would like it. We just loved the ducks, lizards and peacocks that were roaming the grounds.
