Cruise Itinerary

Departs: 3:00 PM

Relish the best of sand, sun and sea on a cruise from Fort Lauderdale with Princess. The most popular beach resort in Florida is even more rightly famed as the "Yachting Capital of the World," with more than 40,000 registered crafts calling its waters home. The city also prides itself on being the "Venice of America" with more than 300 miles of navigable waterways.

Princess ships generally berth at Pier 2/Terminal 2 in Port Everglades, which is located in the Northport section. This facility is used for both embarkation and disembarkation. Luggage collection, check-in, and immigration and customs inspections are all conducted on the ground level. The second level provides seating for passengers who have been checked in and are waiting to board. On days when multiple ships are in port, another berth may be assigned. Ship pier/terminal assignments are posted at the entrance of the port and will direct you to the appropriate location.

Take a dip in our sparkling freshwater pools and leave your everyday world behind. Unwind on a padded lounger and soak up the sun, catch up on reading, listen to music or dream of your next adventure on board or ashore. And what better way to relax and revitalize after a day exploring the world than a long soak in one of our whirling hot tubs. And don’t forget, there is always a server nearby to bring you a refreshing cocktail or favourite beverage.

Arrives: 9:00 AM Departs: 6:00 PM

Dutch influence still lingers on this balmy Caribbean island, part of the former Netherlands Antilles until its independence in 1986. Aruba is a contrast, the island's arid interior is dotted with cactus and windswept divi-divi trees while secluded coves and sandy beaches make up its coast.

Top Things to Do in Aruba:

  • 4WD through the Aruba Arikok National Park
  • explore the islands capital, Oranjestad
  • climb the steps to the summit of Hooiberg
  • swim and relax at Eagle Beach
  • snorkel or dive the Antilla shipwreck
Port:Oranjestad

Incredibly white sands and cobalt blue seas make the small island of Aruba a popular destination. In the bustling freeport town of Oranjestad, sherbet-coloured Dutch colonial buildings, draped in bougainvillea, oleander and hibiscus are simply picturesque. Ships will dock at the cruise terminal.

Top Things to Do in Oranjestad:

  • 4WD through the Aruba Arikok National Park
  • visit the National Archeological Museum
  • climb the steps to the summit of Hooiberg
  • swim and relax at Eagle Beach
  • snorkel at De Palm Island

There’s no better way to experience a place than through its food. So you’ll find regional flavors all around you on board, favorite recipes chefs brought from home or discovered along the way. Think curries from India and homemade pasta from Italy. Seafood in Alaska and street tacos in Mexico. We don’t just say "authentic" we serve it.

Arrives: 6:00 AM Departs: 4:30 PM

The Panama Canal, a marvel of engineering, links the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, facilitating global maritime trade. Stretching approximately 80km/50mi, this intricate waterway features three locks - Miraflores, Pedro Miguel, and Gatun - that elevate and lower vessels to overcome the variation in sea levels.

The Miraflores Locks' visitor center offers an insightful experience, allowing observers to witness massive ships navigating the locks. The Gatun Locks, a crucial part of the canal, showcase the impressive process of raising and lowering water levels to enable the passage of ships.

Traversing the Panama Canal provides a firsthand glimpse into the intricate operations that have shaped international shipping for over a century.

Arrives: 7:00 AM Departs: 6:00 PM

Panama is a cosmopolitan, dynamic city, where the modern and the traditional come together to create a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere. Three main sections make up the city, the historical ruins of the 16th century called Panama Viejo, the 17th century Spanish Colonial Casco Viejo and the modern skyscraper city.

Top Things to Do in Panama City:

  • explore Portobelo National Park
  • watch ships pass through the Panama Canal
  • shop until you drop at the Duty-Free Zone
  • ride a vintage train on the Panama Railway
Port:Fuerte Amador

Fuerte Amador, located at the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal, is a man-made peninsula extending into the Pacific Ocean. The one-mile (1.6km) causeway is formed by connecting four small islands with rocks from the canal, and hosts shops and restaurants around a marina which serves as a tender dock to visiting ships. Offering panoramic views of Panama City's skyline, the causeway is also home to the Smithsonian Institute of Tropical Research. The tender dock is conveniently located, providing easy access to Panama City with a transfer time of around 25 minutes (14km/8.5mi distance).

Original musicals, dazzling magic shows, feature films, top comedians, and nightclubs that get your feet movin' and groovin' - there’s something happening around every corner, and you have a whole cruise of days and nights to experience it all.

Arrives: 7:00 AM Departs: 7:00 PM

Puntarenas beckons with its rich tapestry of lush landscapes making it a vibrant spot for adventure and relaxation. This coastal city is a treasure trove of biodiversity, offering thrilling activities like zip-lining and river rafting amidst its natural parks, and is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts eager to spot sloths, scarlet macaws, and capuchin monkeys in their natural habitats.

The city's history is as rich as its landscapes, from its indigenous roots to its emergence as a vital coffee exporting hub. Today, Puntarenas thrives with cultural landmarks such as the Casa de la Cultura and the Marine History Museum, blending educational experiences with natural exploration. Whether it's wandering through the Paseo de los Turistas, visiting the NATUWA Macaw Sanctuary, or exploring the Monteverde Cloud Forest, Puntarenas offers a unique blend of cultural and ecological wonders for every traveller.

Port:Puerto Caldera

Puerto Caldera's cruise terminal is approximately 23 kilometers (about 14 miles) from the city of Puntarenas, around 30 minutes away. For transportation, you can opt for taxis, which are readily available at the port, or consider an organized shore excursion to maximize your visit. A must-see is the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, offering a glimpse into the country's diverse flora and fauna.

It’s no surprise The Shops are awarded “Best Onboard Shopping” from Porthole magazine year after year. You’ll find fine merchandise from brands like Swarovski, Chanel, Estée Lauder, Clinique, Lancôme, Calvin Klein, Citizen and Tissot, plus local crafts, keepsakes and souvenirs. Venues vary by ship and are subject to change.

Arrives: 8:00 AM Departs: 5:00 PM

Puerto Chiapas, located near Tapachula, is the primary docking point for cruises exploring the southern part of Mexico. The port is about 30 kilometres (approximately 18.6 miles) from Tapachula, a short 30-minute drive away. Tapachula offers a rich tapestry of cultural and natural attractions. The nearby Izapa Mayan ruins, a significant yet less-visited archaeological site, provide insight into ancient Mesoamerican civilisation.

For those interested in agritourism, local coffee plantations offer insightful tours and tastings, highlighting the area’s renowned coffee production. Additionally, Tapachula’s city centre boasts charming architecture and lively markets. For a serene day, the unspoilt beaches along the Pacific coast are ideal for relaxation and scenic walks.

Very good cruise packages   0 , Kerala, India, Sep 2025
This is my second Cruise package with 19 days. We enjoyed very much through out the entire days. Everything works perfectly. One thing I noticed, they are charging very high rate for WiFi. It's should be decreased. Otherwise everything fantastic. Thank you team Princess.
Mother Daughter Cruise   5 , ACT, Australia, Nov 2024
I really should have done my homework on this cruise ship. I’ve learnt a lot about what to look for in a cruise. This cruise ship was not for us. Personal opinion though. Main reasons was the generation difference. The first 10 days was basically a 70’s plus floating retirement home. Don’t get me wrong, I love the elderly. But when you are taking your read more daughter (22 yrs old) on a very expensive cruise you would expect to have some younger ones around. It did improve the following 10 days with other guests coming aboard that were younger. I’m now fully clued up on which cruise lines cater for what age group. Every days a school day. Due to the elderly population the activities were catered around them. I found the activities repeated themselves and not many to choose from. The evening shows in the Princess Theatre were too loud, and I had to leave a few shows because my ears were hurting. I was not alone. The Cruise Director was aware of it and advised they had fixed the volume but there was little difference. The quality of the shows were average. I think I enjoyed three of them.

The food was varied and there was something for all tastes. Though I wished I could of shown them how to make mash potatoes and custard. Both were low standard and almost not edible. They nailed the roast meats, they were brilliant. If you are lactose intolerant or allergic to dairy you can forget the dessert bar. I lived on jelly the entire cruise. I wasn’t going to miss out on dessert. 😂 The staff were divine.

The rooms perfect for what you need. Beds super comfy with awesome soft fluffy pillows and the doona cosy. The shower was clearly designed around a 5 year. It’s tiny. You can’t bend in it. So shaving legs, forget it unless you stick your leg out and put your foot on the toilet lid. The laundry was awesome. It’s where I found a duck. I was extremely disappointed when the only two ports I was desperate to visit and were solely the reason I chose this cruise we were unable to disembark due to high winds. No fault of the cruise company but extremely disappointing as I’ll never get that opportunity again.

Dubrovnik and Mykonos 😔 I didn’t enjoy Tunisia and Kotor. We had professional photos taken on the last night offered. Rookie mistake. Our photos were terrible. Even the Manager agreed and gave me two digital ones for free if I paid for two printed ones. There was literally only two worth purchasing. It is wise to have photos taken throughout the whole cruise and by different photographers. That way you have many choices and the photographers have different skill levels. We learnt the hard way. For those of you cruising for the first time, they have a crew appreciation fee. Where they charge your room $17 per person each day. I’m assuming the money goes to top up the staff wages. That’s another $680 you are charged on top of gratuity and the cost of the cruise. It certainly adds up. Don’t forget the drinks and wifi packages. Which we did not do as we just couldn’t afford it.

Island Princess Cruise is perfect if you want a small ship, a handful of activities, enjoy meeting older people, and looking for a very quiet relaxing time. Unfortunately that was not what I was looking for, and came away disappointed. As I previously mentioned, I should of researched it better.
Adriatic and Aegean Explorer 0 , NSW, Australia, Oct 2024
Global Journeys provided a stress free booking experience and communicate well. My husband and I enjoyed the 20 day Adriatic and Aegean Explorer cruise on Princess. It should be noted that this cruise was 2 cruise tours put together. The food and entertainment were fantastic. The passengers were mostly of retirement age. We had great weather and less read more crowds in October. The Princess shore excursions were well organised, but at a slow pace sometimes. So we booked an independent shore experience online, kayaking around Dubrovnik, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Next time I would research more active onshore experiences.
Wonderful cruise 4 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2023
I would recommend this cruise. Iceland was an amazing destination. Happy with Princess. Even though Island Princess is one of their older ships I have no complaints.
Wonderful Scandinavian cruise   6 , QLD, Australia, Sep 2022
Everything about the cruise was fantastic. The Covid test requirement went smoothly. The weather was beautiful and was able to see the northern lights. All of the shore excursions were interesting and well organised. There were plenty of activities on the ship while we were at sea. The evening entertainment was enjoyable, particularly the Princess singers read more and dancers.
