While Safaga itself is more industrial in nature, it does offer a few local attractions such as black sand dunes and therapeutic mineral springs but you're best to explore beyond the port. Luxor is located approximately 220 kms (about 137 miles) from Safaga and the journey can take around 3 to 4 hours by road, but the sight of Luxor's ancient wonders are worth the effort.

An Unforgettable First Cruise Experience with MSC!   5 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2024
It was our first time cruising, and we honestly didn’t know what to expect. But MSC exceeded every expectation we had. From the exceptional service to the incredible variety of food and entertainment, everything was perfect. The ports we visited were beautiful, and each day felt like a new adventure. We stayed in a balcony suite on Deck 14, and the read more mornings and sunsets were absolutely breathtaking.
