Great Way To See Europe 0 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2025
A great way to travel Europe, unpack once and off you go! Great for solo travelling, lots of options. If staying on MSC Europa do not book Level 5, way too much engine noise.
Luxury fjord cruising with great coffee 0 , WA, Australia, Sep 2025
We enjoyed the dance classes (one of many activities on the boat) and the breakfast was just as good as we make ourselves at home. The staff at dinner were very attentive. The gym was great (we didn't get there as often as we had planned, too many things happening. The after dinner shows were almost all awesome - only one of average quality.
The read more cruise of fjords was the highlight for us - the reason we took this trip. Having said that, the stops in Stavanger and Oslo were both excellent experiences too.
Great cruise and worry free! 0 Mediterranean , ON, Canada, Sep 2025
Ethan was very dedicated to helping us, and answered questions and concerns right away. He made us feel at ease with the cruise. Very, very professional work - thanks so much Ethan!
Trip magic   0 Exploring Greece and the Adriatic , MA, United States, Aug 2025
This trip was far beyond expectations. Food I ate, places I visited, super nice people I met on th ship. I took over 1500 pictures Magic sunsets. Only thing you need to watch for. - taxi drivers in Istanbul trying to charge 2 times for same fare so try to use cash.
Extremely enjoyable ocean cruise. 0 Northern Europe , QLD, Australia, Jul 2025
I was happy with everything. I would use MSC Cruise Lines and Global Journeys again. My travel agent for this trip was Sam Harris and I was extremely satisfied with his service. However, Hannah took over my booking when Sam left and was helpful to me.
Magical Mediterranean Cruise 0 , VIC, Australia, Jul 2025
What an incredible tour around the Mediterranean. The weather was sensational, the boat was well organised and the cruise staff couldn’t have been more helpful or delightful. Thanks to Grace’s assistance, everything from booking my trip to getting on the plane was seamless. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful 7 nights with MSC and couldn’t fault them, Widi our cabin attendant was amazing and looked after us extremely well. Dinner with Nule was also a pleasure. Hannah Campbell organised everything for us and was great. We would recommend Global Journeys and MSC cruises to friends and family

FAQ's

What's the check-in process for my MSC cruise?

Your check-in process begins at the check-in time shown on your cruise ticket. A dedicated check-in slot is assigned to you by default by MSC Cruises, but it could be changed during the web check-in, choosing from those available. Please note, if you arrive before your dedicated check-in slot opens you may be requested to wait outside of the terminal building. In the event you arrive after your dedicated check-in slot closes you may be denied embarkation. Check-in and boarding close 2 hours before the ship’s departure.

The ship’s departure and arrival times shown on your ticket or in the MSC for ME app are estimated and might differ from those indicated, which is why it is essential you adhere to your check-in slot. Before arriving at the port, please ensure that all personal details shown on the embarkation form in your e-ticket are checked and correct. You will be required to show your embarkation form (on paper or digital version) or your personal QR code before boarding.

Is that embarkation process the same for MSC Yacht Club guests?

As an MSC Yacht Club guest, we welcome you with a bespoke check-in experience. As part of your exclusive privileges, you have the flexibility to check in at your convenience, aligned with the ship’s operational schedule and at least 2 hours prior to the ship’s departure. You will also be personally escorted by a butler to the Top Sail Lounge, where you will be greeted by the Concierge and start a relaxing holiday.

Why do I have to complete a web check-in?

The web check-in is used to collect your personal data, which is necessary to issue your e-ticket. An e-ticket is an electronic ticket that provides a summary of all booked services, information about the itinerary, luggage labels, and other useful details for going on your MSC cruise. Web check-in is available from 30 days to 24 hours before departure. MSC recommend completing your web check-in as early as possible to ensure you receive your e-ticket promptly.

Do I have to register my credit card during the Web Check-in?

No, you can register your credit card on board at the Activation Points or leave a cash deposit with Guest Services at reception immediately after embarkation. Please make sure that your credit or debit card can be used abroad. All purchases made on board are paid for with your personal MSC Cruise Card. You therefore do not need to have any cash or credit cards with you on board. If you have already registered your credit card during web check-in, you do not need to register your means of payment on board.

Do I need to have travel insurance for my MSC cruise?

To ensure maximum peace of mind, it is recommended that all passengers have a travel and medical insurance policy that covers them against risks related to cancellation, trip interruption, repatriation costs, medical assistance and other related expenses, as well as hospitalisation. Not having insurance in place you might be exposed to additional costs that could not be covered by MSC. For details on your insurance options please click here.

Are service charges (gratuities) included in my cruise fare?

No. At MSC Cruises, exceptional guest service is our top priority. During your cruise, you will meet staff throughout the ship who provide you with excellent service. They are supported by just as many staff and crew who work hard behind the scenes to ensure you enjoy every moment onboard.

For your convenience MSC Cruises will automatically add a daily service charge to your shipboard account, based on your chosen itinerary and the number of days for which the services are actually provided. Service charges are subject to change but rates vary between US$ 10 per night to US$ 20 per night (per person).

Do I need to do anything if I have mobility issues, medical issues or dietary requirements?

MSC Cruises and its staff have always been attentive to the needs of their guests, and constantly strive to offer the best possible service, meeting international accessibility standards. Your Global Journey's cruise advisor will need to inform MSC Cruises of any special requirements. This information should preferably be provided at the time of booking, or, at the very latest, at least 30 working days before sailing. If MSC are notified after this deadline, they will do everything in their power to provide the services requested, but this may not be possible at such short notice.

Will there be a Medical Center onboard?

Our onboard medical facilities meet or exceed the standards for cruise ship medical centers adopted by CLIA and include basic diagnostic and treatment abilities, however the ship’s medical centers are not required to be and are not equipped to the same standards as a land-based hospital. They are staffed by full-time registered doctors and nurses, including paramedics on some ships. In addition to twice-daily clinic hours, medical staff are available 24 hours a day in an emergency.

Our Medical Centers are intended to provide acute care for illness and accidents that may occur while on holiday and not to provide long-term care for patients with chronic illnesses or as a substitute for regular health care. The medical staff on board is not available for daily care unless you are hospitalized in the ship’s medical Center. You must be able to care for yourself, including dressing, eating, and attending the ship's safety drills. " If you cannot care for yourself independently in these areas, please make arrangements to ensure you can do so.

Charges for medical services rendered on board are added to your shipboard account, and an itemized account will be provided to submit to your insurance company. Please note that many health insurance plans do not cover the cost of medical care at sea, in foreign countries, or for air evacuation unless this has been specifically arranged. Guests are encouraged to obtain travel medical insurance before travel to be reimbursed for services rendered.

What is the luggage limit on my MSC cruise?

Each guest is limited to checking in two suitcases per person* (not exceeding 90x75x43 cm in size and 23 kg in weight per bag) and two pieces of hand luggage per person* (not exceeding 56x45x25 cm in size and 23 kg in weight per bag). If you are travelling to your departure port by air, please check the luggage size and weight limitations with your airline as this may differ from the MSC Cruises policy. The maximum amount of luggage in each cabin must not exceed 100 kg and/or 8 pieces total for all passengers in the same cabin.

How do I pay for things onboard?

All on board purchases are made with your personal MSC Cruise Card, eliminating the need to carry cash or credit cards on board. After embarking and collecting the Cruise Card from your cabin, You should activate it for onboard purchases by self-registering your credit/debit/prepaid card at one of the Cruise Card Activation Points. You can do this independently, at any time from embarkation until 11:00 pm the following day, at any of the Cruise Card Activation Points located around the ship. These new devices let you register your card simply, rapidly and securely. Please note that you will be asked to enter the PIN number. Alternatively, you can leave cash deposit at the Reception – Guest Service.

How do I settle my final bill?

By Visa, MasterCard, Diners, JCB, Discover and American Express. If you choose to pay by credit card, your account will be closed automatically at the end of the cruise, so there is no need to go to the Reception – Guest Service.

You can also use a debit or prepaid car, but you should make sure that your debit/prepaid card is enabled for use abroad. The following debit cards are accepted: Maestro, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard debit Any amount debited to your card and not spent during your cruise will be reimbursed in cash at the Reception - Guest Service on the final morning before disembarkation.
