With a morning at leisure to discover Ketchikan at your own pace, you might like to visit historic Creek Street, the Tongass Historical Museum or the Southeast Alaska Discovery Centre. Your boat will get as close as possible to the ever-changing Twin Sawyer Glaciers, which cannot be accessed by larger ships.

- You might choose to head out on a seaplane excursion to the Juneau Icefield, including an Alaskan salmon feast at the remote Taku Glacier Lodge. Alternatively, get up-close to the impressive Mendenhall Glacier on a guided canoe trip, with the option to step onto the glacier itself and see its incredible ice caves. Another option is a helicopter ride over the Juneau Icefield and Herbert Glacier, home to spectacular rock formations and icefalls. Or for a true Alaskan experience, perhaps upgrade to a helicopter dog sled tour on the Herbert Glacier (additional expense).
