Best of Eastern Europe in 9 days 0 , Australia, May 2019
May is the perfect time to visit Eastern Europe, beautiful weather and no crowds. Regensburg, Prague and Budapest at night were the highlight. Travelling single felt safe and although it goes at a very fast pace, if you don’t have much time, this is perfect. We had a good group of fun people on the trip which made it very special.

There could be ...read more more fun and dancing/singing entertainment in general. Although we were on a more mature Trafalgar group, it does not mean we do not want to laugh and sing and dance. I was very happy with Madeline organising my trip. Thank you and looking forward for another great fun trip in 2021.
Trafalgar Imperial Europe Tour 2 , QLD, Australia, Jun 2018
Overall the tour was very good, went to all the cities and places we wanted to go to and the weather was pretty good across most of the trip. In the main Trafalgar was quite good but there were hiccups along the way.
Enjoyable and informative trip with beautiful cities visited at a good pace. 1 , NSW, Australia, Aug 2017
Ideal length trip visiting Eastern Europe and its beautiful Imperial Cities. All hotels and sightseeing were excellent and our Tour Director, Kurt, was the best we have experienced.
Tour pace was nice 2 , NSW, Australia, Jun 2015
Overall a value for money tour. Saw many sights which not be possible if we were to do it on our own. Tour pace was just nice. Plenty of leisure time for shopping or resting in the hotel. Hotels were of a good quality except for the one in Salzburg which is on the highway. Food included was not the best but what can one expect for the price paid. ...read more I would recommend this tour if you want to take in as many sights as possible within a limited period of time. Prague is absolutely amazing and a few more days would be perfect. Will take a Trafalgar tour again without any hesitation.
Very interesting places 7 , VIC, Australia, May 2015
Disappointingly Hilton Danube was cancelled and stayed in another hotel in Vienna. Novotel Centrum hotel in Budapest in very bad, derelict filthy smelly part of town with old men sleeping and urinating everywhere in street, disgusting part of town. Misleading information on brochure "Dine tonight at your hotel in the beautiful 'city of Salzburg'. ...read more This hotel was miles from the 'city of Salzburg' in the middle of nowhere with nothing to see and nowhere to walk. It had no air conditioning and it was a very hot day and night and many people requested fans and there was an outcry from all on the tour about this so-called 'hotel'. I, amongst many others, requested to be relocated to another hotel in the city but could only get a different room away from the road noise but had to suffer the extreme heat with no relief. The tour guide knowingly ordered that we complete the assessment forms the day before we arrived at this hotel and told us which boxes to fill in - nothing under very good - and many people asked for their forms back so they could be amended.

He was very authoritarian, rude, bossy and under no circumstances was to be interrupted while he kept continually telling us how wealthy he is, is a lawyer (but only practiced for five weeks and been a tour guide for 25 years!!!, calling himself Doctor Q). We heard a terrific bang underneath us on the coach and talking amongst ourselves who was going to tell him no-one had the courage to do so and put up with his wrath for him being interrupted , as one man said 'don't say anything as you know what he's like when he gets interrupted', he'll find out soon enough when the bus breaks down - which it did eventually and a mechanic had to be called - so Dr Q our tour guide had quite an interestingly tyrannical personality and I certainly wouldn't like to have him as a tour guide on any of my future tours. Overall it was a tour of very interesting places.
A great holiday with some great local tour guides 1 , Australia, Aug 2013

Trafalgar has done a very good job 1 , Australia, Aug 2012
I totally enjoyed the Imperial Europe tour. It was a well organised tour. Trafalgar has done a very good job. The tour operator Craig Hill is an Australian and he is very good. He is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I could not had asked for a better tour guide. The local guides are very good too! Overall the accommodation is very good except ...read more the hotel in Salzburg! It was shocking and basic! None of us were happy with this hotel. It would be perfect if the hotels that we are staying were in the city centre.
