Excellent tour. Scandinavia spectacular. Tour guide-professional, excellent manager, excellent knowledge. Comfortable coach with excellent driver. Would thoroughly recommend this tour. Certainly exceeded our expectations. Would have given higher ratings but there is always room for improvement.

Our tour guide was excellent. She was always available and had a wonderful personality. She laughed a lot and this was so good when on a fairly long bus ride. Our driver was a quiet respectful young man whose driving ability was indeed remarkable. We always felt very safe even on those windy roads on high mountains. We happened to be in the front seat read more on our way to Geiranger, Norway. The accommodation was not great in several hotels, however this may be because of very little choice in some areas. On occasion we felt some had much better accommodation than others. My comment would be that accommodation, where possible, should be similar for all on the one tour and not some with suites and others with less than adequate accommodation. The tour content was excellent and we were 'blown away' by the amazing scenery. All in all a great experience and I would definitely recommend Insight. This was our 4th tour with them.

This tour was too rushed, everyone was tired (some people had to miss some included visits because they needed to rest) and the tour director did not have thorough knowledge of the places that were visited. Many people had suitcases damaged but the tour director was not interested in doing anything to stop this. Visits to included sights were too rushed, read more some were missed entirely (the lookout over Florence and the Amsterdam sightseeing tour), and the whole tour seemed to be designed around the optional excursions.

Booking with Global Journeys is a hassle free experience, we always get a prompt and competent service and a competitive price. We have travelled with Insight for many years and we have never been disappointed with their tours. This trip was interesting, informative and a lot of fun as usual. The sights were memorable and varied. The highlights for read more us were Skara Brae, the neolithic village in Orkney Islands and the Giant Causeway on the shores of Norther Ireland. I will also remember when I was asked to sit in a special chair of the late Queen Mother, at her private residence, the Castle and Gardens of Mey, (optional tour in Scotland), making the other ladies in the group a little jealous. Apparently, the late Queen Mother was rather small in stature like myself!
We had never done a coach tour prior to the Italian Escapade but certainly will repeat the experience with the same company. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would not hesitate to recommend the company. We were spoilt and pampered beyond belief! Everything worked like clockwork but we expect that there was a lot of work done behind the scenes that read more we were blissfully unaware of. We found the Tour Director always pleasant, happy and obliging and went out of her way to make sure that we, in turn were completely catered for. So many good memories to take home.

What a tremendous introduction to the British Isles. A well paced tour with a brilliant guide Christina Bader and excellent coach driver Adrian . They both managed to make our tour a wonderful experience. Tremendous scenery and city highlights with expertly organised and resourced maps to guide us around cities on our own. The coach was excellent with read more the additional room for legs and luggage and the seat rotation policy meant meeting everyone on the bus. Highlights were Blair Castle, Scottish scenery, lakes district in Scotland and England especially Bowness hotel,Waterford Chrystal tour,sheepdog farm, Liverpool options and probably most important the range of people from Canada USA Singapore and Australia that galvanised together to make the whole journey great fun. Celebrating birthdays and special occasions was a lovely touch.

An excellent itinerary with an outstanding and very knowledgeable tour director. All the hotels were centrally located, however, some were four star rating where others were below (Rome, Capri, Santa Margerita).

Than you so much...we had a wonderful time. Exceeded our expectations. We have always wanted to go to Sicily. What a brilliant Island it is. Steeped in Ancient history! Francis was exceptional as a guide.

We travelled a big distance and saw many excellent sites. Perhaps the pace of the tour could be lessened by having two nights in the one place (eg Edinburgh, Glasgow ) as there were many early morning starts. I have travelled with them before and find the coaches far superior to other companies.
This was one of the best vacations I have ever taken! 1

This was one of the best vacations I have ever taken! The weather was nicest morning and evening, so I didn't take the mid-day optional extras, but all of the ones I did take were absolutely amazing. The hotels were great and the food was excellent, though not so much in some of the cafes we went to. That's not on the tour, though.
A day early in Berlin helps relax before the tour. Most significant tours/events are 'optional' at a price which can significantly add to the tour cost. An extra post-tour day in Warsaw helps recovery from the tour.
Another great Insight tour. Highly recommended. 5

Vinchenzo our wonderful tour guide made the trip, beautiful scenery, good travelling companions. Another great Insight tour. Highly recommended. Yvonne from Global Journeys made the whole process very easy.
This tour was fabulous. Fairly fast paced but with ages from 12-70 on our tour everyone kept up easily. It really is a good 'taster' tour (which is all you can ask of a 17 day tour which takes in 5 countries) of each country and will give you a general experience of each country. You can never have enough 'free time' but given this tour packs in so read more much to see the amount of 'free time' provided was more than sufficient for all ages. The options were well thought out, very good value for money and you were never pressured into undertaking them. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable in both history and interesting tit bits about each place (very humourous at times) - his commentary was never boring and was structured to appeal to all ages / interests. He also was flexible when it came to the daily schedule, happy to re-assess and re-organise to suit the group but still managing to see all the sights as per the original tour itinerary.
During our tour we experienced a heat wave affecting most of the countries so our daily temp was between 34-41 most days. Which in some places was extremely out of the ordinary (ie no air conditioning in the hotel rooms). Phillip (tour guide) for example shuffled our tour activities each day to keep us out of the heat so that we could still enjoy each experience. Adding many 'flourishes' (special treats) of gelato, drinks, extra stops etc to keep us going. Some places we spent less time at, others more, depending on the heat and this was always only at the agreeance of all the group. The hotels we stayed at were all good - some maybe not up to Australian 4 star level, but had everything you would need for a 2 night stay. Our tour guide was always happy to arrange a change of room if necessary. But mostly they were excellent and definitely central in all places stayed. All sights in walking distance from the hotels. The days were seamlessly organised, nothing was ever a problem, our driver was excellent and safe and the bus always immaculate with more than ample seating and leg room. To sum it up - a well thought out and planned 17 day 'taster' tour of the main countries of Europe. Would highly recommend to all ages. (Ed: Review based on slightly different itinerary. Wonderful trip. Insight coach was very comfortable with great leg room. Excellent courteous driver and vivacious tour guide who made sure that the tour went smoothly. The 'flourishes' that Insight provides were terrific and unexpected. Optional trips were quite good value however more time in some places would be appreciated e.g. Toledo. Thank you read more Georgie for your assistance! You were wonderful.

Spectacular Scandinavia & its Fjords

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour with the spectacular scenery, congenial company on the tour, knowledge of our guide and the high standard of most elements of the tour. Norway was the most scenic and interesting of the 3 countries we visited. I thought that some of the optional activities could have been included at no extra cost.
Well paced tour. Excellent Driver and Tour Leader who provided intelligent and relevant commentary. Very good value for money. The hotels were mostly very good although some hotels in Scandinavia seemed not to understand the concept of a twin room as opposed to a double room! All in all, highly recommended.
Would have preferred a bit more time to the trip 1

Despite knowing that we were covering long distances in a bus, it did get a bit wearying sitting on the bus day in day out. I think i would have preferred more days in the cities of Stockholm, Bergen and Oslo and miss Falun and Lillehammer or just had a bit more time to the trip. I did enjoy Odense but given that we spent all day on the bus getting read more there and back to Copenhagen because we couldn't continue on to the ferry trip. I think i would have preferred a rescheduling that involved an extra night in Stockholm. The bus was too airless but it was roomy. I doubt we would have enjoyed the trip anywhere as much if Frederike had not been our tour guide. Her dry sense of humour was tremendous and she bent over backwards to help everyone on the bus with just about anything!
