We thoroughly enjoyed our Insight tour of Ireland and would only travel with Insight for all future tours. Everything about an Insight and Global Journeys experience is professional, enjoyable, comfortable and hassle free. We had the most awesome fun with our tour companions, and the Insight Tour Director fostered a sense of camaraderie and fun within read more the group. He also shared his wide knowledge of Ireland's history and it's charms readily and interestingly. My next tour will be with Insight Tours and booked through Hannah at Global journeys. We have traveled with other bus tours but the last three we have taken have been with Insight. What can one say except for the obvious - 'Simply the best'. Tour Directors have many functions but above all one mantra is your personnel well being and safety. As for Global Journeys they make life so much easier. Nothing is too much trouble and they seem read more to go out of their way to help you, both before and after your booking and indeed once when I had a query during our actual tour. Some travel agents have told me how risky it is booking a tour over the internet. With Global Journeys its not a worry at all. Indeed this is now one of three we have booked through them. After the grandeur of Russia, the Moroccan sights seemed more ordinary. We did enjoy the easier pace and the chance to travel in the Sahara. We also enjoyed shopping in the souks. We enjoyed the dinners and the belly dancers and the buggy ride. Our Tour Director, Najib, was very helpful, when needed, and even helped to get us things at better prices. read more One small criticism - many of us could not understand everything he said, because of his accent.

The Tours was very good, Michael our guide was fantastic, very passionate about his job, and could answer all questions thrown at him - The sights we saw were amazing (it would have been nice to have had a bit more time in Nice to allow for some personal time, it say 2 nights but we didn't arrive until after 5Pm the first day. We were also disappointed read more we didn't visit the casino in Monte Carlo as advertised. These are small negatives but for the cost of the trip we were happy with what we experienced.
This was a really excellent tour experience. Hotel accommodations were uniformly brilliant in location, and usually in hotel quality - of particular the Tuscany and Venice accommodations. As always, the pace of a tour seeing so many extraordinary things was too fast to really process, but what was done was exceptional and rich experiences, very well read more coordinated by our marvelous guide, Daniele. I felt that probably the Sienna and Cortina excursions were a bit pricey and could have been an inclusion, even if an extra cost had been included. Loved the Tuscan winery and Burano excursions, although the wonderful seafood meal was too big to be followed by a final dinner! The modified bus with extra seat room is a huge selling point, coming from a family of 6' 4" men, and the extra seat width option was brilliant. I cannot speak highly enough of both Insight and Global Journeys!
Comprehensive and very informative 6

The WW1 battlefields tour was very comprehensive and very informative. It certainly increased our knowledge of the battles and losses that occurred in this part of France and Belgium. As well as learning more about the part the Australian soldiers played in WW1, it was interesting to learn of the British and Canadian involvement as well. It was nice read more to discover that the French and Belgium people still speak so highly of the Australian soldiers and their sacrifices. I couldn't help feeling a little sad by the end of the tour at all the losses, the many sad stories and the massive number of headstones throughout the countryside. It was also a surprise to learn of how many soldiers did not have headstones and were never identified. I would recommend this tour both for war history enthusiasts and for anyone who is interested in the human side of war.
I really enjoyed this tour. Our guide Karin was excellent, as was the driver who had some difficult roads to negotiate. It is a most fascinating part of the world, with a resilient and friendly population. If you want history, great cities and beautiful scenery, this tour has it in abundance.

Had a great time but tour could have more of the smaller towns included. That way, we would see more of local culture in that region.
Dealing with Hannah from Global Journeys was a dream. Nothing was too much trouble including accommodating last minute changes. Overall tour our was very good. The guide, driver, coach & locations visited were excellent. The hotels and breakfast were generally excellent though some hotels were located a bit out of town. Fine for us, but difficult for read more the less mobile. For us, the included meals were very ordinary. If you like nice food I would strongly recommend skipping and going to local restaurants in lieu. There was a bit of a hard sell on optional excursions - some were great, others poor. A lot of walking is necessary so a degree of fitness is required. As with all tours (I guess) tour was very regimented, up at 6.15am, bags out by 7am etc, and you will be held up by incapable or slower travellers so you need to ensure this is your style of travel.

The tour covered a lot of the country in a fairly short time, so you didn't always get as much time as you would like in certain places, but you get a good overview of some great places you can return to and explore in you own time.
Need excursions that are a little more adventurous other than just evening meals. Something with a little involvement and energy. Most of the excursions were a quite boring as they mostly involved just watching or eating.
I had a wonderful holiday and was very pleased with the tour conducted by Insight Vacations. In particular I thought the service provided by the Tour Director, Gigi Bromage was exceptional, particularly in the circumstances where one of our tour companions had an accident and Gigi went to great lengths to be of assistance. I was also very happy with read more the service provided by Michelle White from Global Journeys. From the initial pre-booking stages, right up to the point of departure, Michelle was happy to answer any questions I had. All flights, tours and transfers were very well organised and ran like clock-work, which made the whole experience very enjoyable. I would certainly book through Global Journeys again and I would certainly be interested in doing another tour conducted by Insight Vacations.
The tour was absolutely excellent. We'd certainly use Global Journeys and Insight again. Our guide was brilliant. The only minor change we would suggest is that the pace could have been a little faster. We didn't need toilet stops every two hours and sometimes more frequently (including the lunch stop) and arriving half an hour later at the hotel in read more the evenings would have been fine. A great tour at a good pace. Interesting locations with considerable diversity. The tour director was very professional, engaging and a good communicator. The driver was professional and friendly and the coach always clean. These two made the trip. A most relaxing and enjoyable experience.
We had a brilliant experience and enjoyed every moment of our holiday. Global Journeys provided very easy online booking facility in order to arrange the holiday and our agents personal communication and ability to make requested adjustments was greatly appreciated. I would definitely consider using Global Journeys for future holiday bookings. Thanks.
We enjoyed this tour thoroughly. The tour guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and organised. The coach was very comfortable and the pace of the tour as expected. I would recommend.

What a fantastic introductory view of the European cities and countryside. The accommodation was of a very high standard with the included meals excellent. Most of the optional excursions were interesting and good value but probably need to be made more transparent on initial costing as they enhance the trip and add significantly to the whole experience. read more The Switzerland options and the Tuscany trip to San Gims and restaurant are not to be missed. The coaches have plenty of room for feet and luggage and both the coach driver Raffaele and tour director Sharon were first class assisting us all to really enjoy every day. We met some fantastic people from all over Australia and would highly commend the tour and Global Journeys. Thank you Hannah for your efficient planning and communication. We would certainly use you again.
Tour guide not up to scratch 6

Unfortunately the tour was not like the previous ones we have done due to our tour guide who did not make this holiday as enjoyable as it should of been. Roger I felt lacked personality and communication skills and his time management was not up to scratch. The accommodation we had fell short of expectation. This is was also the view of a lot of the read more other passengers on the trip. I am not sure if we would use Insight Vacations again.

Highlights of Eastern Europe

We had a very enjoyable trip which exceeded all expectations. The Insight tour of Eastern Europe was well organised, the accommodation and meals excellent and most importantly our tour guide Neira gave each and every person in the group her individual attention and advice. She always went the extra mile and her local knowledge, attention to detail read more and organisational skills were outstanding. We would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone interested in WWII history or just wanting to go somewhere in Europe out of the ordinary. Most people on the tour where seasoned travellers.
Cruise was up to expectations 1

Alaska was a wonderful place to visit. Denali National Park and Prince William Sound glaciers were spectacular. The cruise was up to expectations. The ship was comfortable and a good size - not too big, the crew attentive. A very relaxing few days. We have no complaints of the land tour but felt the coach, tour director and driver were not of the read more usual Insight standard. Maybe that's Alaska!
