A wonderful trip with Globus 1 , NSW, Australia, Apr 2019
Well organised trip and sightseeing with Globus. It is very nice for them to offer a bottle of water every day. All hotels were high quality and centrally located (except Prague’s one a bit far). Optional tours at Vienna seem too many for concert and dinner. It would be good to include one or two into the normal trip. We had a free day at Vienna, and ...read more organised ourselves to Schönbrunn Palace. Berlin is an very exciting place, and we spent several extra days to explore the city. Overall it was a great trip. And thanks again, Hannah, for your help for all the bookings.
Very historic and interesting as well as good fun 4 , SA, Australia, May 2018
Very good tour. The only complaint would be the fact that optional excursions were a bit over the top in terms of the number.
Thought Provoking Vacation 4 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2017
I thought this would be an interesting trip but for anyone interested in history it really was. Seeing the worst of the Nazi regime at Auschwitz was horrifying but seeing how the countries we visited had improved their lifestyle since the fall of communism was encouraging. The constant changing of currencies was something to be prepared for. Hotels ...read more on the whole were very good and the food enabled us to try the local dishes. I did quite a few of the excursions and particularly liked the salt mine a and the gypsy music on our Budapest dinner. Our tour guide was, unfortunately not the best. He seemed to be quite uninterested in giving a lot of information and when we were off the bus we hardly saw him?
14 days The Best of Eastern Europe   5 , VIC, Australia, May 2017
My husband and I enjoyed thoroughly the whole trip of the 14 days Eastern Europe in April 2017. Though I cannot say it is perfect but it had met most of our expectations.

The tourist consultant, Dino, was exceptionally experienced, knowledgeable, helpful and responsible. The coach driver was also very polite and helpful. All the local tourist ...read more guides were also experienced and well presented. Out of the 43 tourists, I would say eighty percentage came from America, only 4 from Melbourne and two from New Zealand. We got along very well during our whole trip. The coach was very good except the wifi was sometimes very weak or disconnected. My husband and I joined in most of the excursions. Though they were not very cheap they were worth joining especially the concentration camp excursion. Most of the buffet breakfasts and the included dinners were of good standard. All the accommodations were centrally located so very convenient to find nice restatements, department stores and train stations.

I found your company , Global Journeys, trustworthy and well organised, and most importantly you offer good discounts to all tours and flights. I will definitely recommend your company to my friends.
Well-organised Tour with Caring Tour Director 6 , QLD, Australia, Sep 2016
This was the second time that we booked a European tour through Hannah Campbell at Global Journeys and she was, once again, informative and precise regarding our booking. We thoroughly enjoyed our Best Of Eastern Europe tour conducted by Globus. From the very start, it was clear that this was very well-organised with a competent, highly experienced ...read more tour director. Brane was always such a caring person who had everyone's best interests genuinely at heart. Our bus driver, Martin, was also excellent. There were 39 people on our tour - 6 Australians, 4 Canadians, 2 New Zealanders, 2 Puerto Rucans and 25 Americans. Everyone got on very well! There were many meals included and these were always ample and very tasty.

The hotels we stayed in were top-class and in great locations to get around when we had free time. The pace was constant but there was breathing space too to ensure that we all could manage the consistently early starts and the Busy days, especially when travelling between cities. The optional tours were well worth doing although many of the tour highlights were included in the basic price. For us, the highlights were the Polish Polka Party, the Danube Cruise at Night in Budapest and the Prague by Night Walking Tour. The local guides were outstanding in the various cities and towns. Overall, we would highly recommend this tour for a worry-free overseas trip involving various languages, currency and customs. Although staying in one place to fully appreciate it was not part of this tour, it was possible to decided which cities appealed for a possible return visit in the future.
Fantastic Central & Eastern Europe Experience   3 , WA, Australia, Jul 2016
Our experience with Global Journeys, especially with Michelle White has been excellent. All interactions with Michelle have been positive. She is professional, patient and quick to respond to multiple queries and changes to quotes regarding itineraries/destinations/dates. This was my first time booking a holiday through Global Journeys and I am happy ...read more to recommend them to anyone who is considering using this company, particularly when dealing with Michelle. We booked a 14 day European holiday with Globus via Global Journeys and we were somewhat happy with the overall experience however, we had some positive and negative experiences with the trip.

Firstly, there was a problem with our airport pick up as the driver was 45 minutes late due to a flight change by the airline. We arrived into Berlin half an hour earlier. This perhaps, should have been flagged by Global Journeys with Globus or the driver should have double checked arrival times prior to picking us up. This caused unnecessary angst arriving into Berlin with limited means of reaching the driver as it was a Sunday and the Globus office was shut. As for the tour, I believe advertising it as a 14 day tour is misleading because it is in fact a 12 day tour. A 6pm dinner & talk on the “first” day is hardly considered a fruitful 1st day although essential information were distributed. I think this could have been done at a day called “Pre-Tour or Induction” but it should not be regarded as the first day of the tour. Similarly, the trip really ended on day 13 with a farewell dinner as we didn’t really see anyone on the 14th morning for breakfast as most of our fellow travellers have departed Berlin by then and you are expected to check out of the hotel on the 14th day anyway.

Most of the hotel accommodations were of good standard and are generally located centrally at the city that we were visiting bar some issues with some which I will be posting separate reviews on Tripadvisor and via direct feedback to the individual hotels. Other than that, the overall itinerary was first-rate. Yes, it was very fast paced and covered a lot of sights and experiences so prospective travellers need to be prepared that a lot of fast walking is required. Some of the optional excursions were certainly a “must do” especially the dinner cruise on the Danube, the Salt Mines and the Mozart & Strauss concert. The dinner cruise on the Danube in Budapest is certainly the Highlight of the tour and the visit to Auschwitz was a memorable and humbling experience. Globus certainly took us to a lot of cities and sights that we wouldn’t have achieved in the same duration had we done this on our own so with that in mind, I am glad that we selected this tour.

The trip was complemented with a clean and new Mercedes coach (only four months old, we were told). It was also comforting to have a very careful driver, Roman and the fantastically funny Tour Director, Mario to share our journey with. In spite of his quirky sense of humour, Mario was very warm, efficient but professional. At the end of the tour, we felt like we have made a new friend. The travellers on this tour were a good mix of Americans, Canadians, Kiwis and Aussies who I believe got along well, especially after a few drinks! On the whole, it was an enjoyable tour that covered a lot of key tourist locations. The breakfasts at each hotel were excellent and the few lunches and dinners that were provided were also very good. Globus also took the trouble to provide a bottle of spring water for each traveller each morning which was very thoughtful. Are we glad we did this tour? Yes. Will we do another coach tour with Globus? Not for a while as the early wake up calls and early start was a killer for late owls like my husband and I.
Holiday was excellent 1 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2015
The holiday was excellent with a number of varied experiences included... from river cruising in Budapest to driving through the open countryside. We saw interesting cities and towns and had a chance to appreciate the culture of eastern European regions and the resilience of its people. The optional excursions were colourful and fun. They provided the ...read more music and costumes of the region with local food and spirits, creating a bond with our fellow travelers. We had many enjoyable evenings out.
