Wow what a great trip! Having not been on a guided tour before I found the Globus staff to be helpful and friendly. As we traveled with another couple i requested we be placed together. Not only was our accommodation close to each other through each step but also our Rocky Mountaineer seats were side by side which made this spectacular excursion wonderful. ...read more Spectacular train journey and gold leaf was excellent. Our bus tour guide Darcy was humble, knowledgeable and helpful, along with our bus driver Gunther we couldn't have asked for more fun bus journey. Spotting heaps of wildlife along the way it was never any trouble to stop for enough time so “everyone” could get a pic. All overnight accommodation was outstanding and could not have asked for better and again food was outstanding . Our only disappointment was there was never enough time at each overnight stop to explore the area.

Cruising on the Volendam was all we thought and more, sensational! Being our first cruise we loved the relaxed feel of the ship and I think it should be said that the gala nights on this ship in particular is nothing special. It's nice that everyone is dressed up but tuxedo and cocktail dress are not needed. The friendliness of the staff and the food, we could not fault. Awesome scenery not to be missed, we've ticked our bucket list.

Epic train trip (service, comfort, host and staff best we have seen). Great but necessary "all go" Globus tour and leader. Very good relaxing cruise to finish. Wonderful views and country. Transfers to and from airport and waterfront on the Canada line sky train are unbeatable in time, efficiency and cost. Vancouver does it well.

Absolutely magnificent tour from start to finish. Scenery was unforgettable. Rocky Mountaineer Train was all and more than we expected. Glad we didn't upgrade to Goldleaf as we felt more pampered in Silverleaf. The service was first class and not having to move from your seat for meals was excellent. Globus really should have had more forethought in getting us to Whistler before the road closed. The cruise was more than we expected. Scenery was fantastic and the verandah cabin and all meals and service on board were excellent.

We had a wonderful journey. Our hotels were beyond amazing! Much better than we expected. The one in Vancouver, Fairmont Waterfront, was just wonderful in its position, and the rest were great as well. The Rocky Mountaineer was an eye opener and just wonderful, and the staff outstanding. The only thing we could mention was we would have liked more time at the top when we did the Peak 2 Peak ride at Whistler, in order to explore a bit more. Our tour leader, Tarek, was excellent in going that bit extra to make things better for us, and many times he got us places before all the other coaches arrived. The cruise ship, Volendam, was a great experience and the food and the crew were also wonderful. It was a very comfortable ship and felt warm and welcoming, and not glitzy like some ships, which we liked very much. The crew couldn't do enough for us and were always happy. We have no complaints at all, and were very happy with our tour. Amazing trip, and would go again for sure.

Scenery on the Rockies tour was wow all the way. Only negative was the length of time spent of the Rocky Mountaineer train (around 12 hours each day) and by the end of the day we could wait to arrive at destination. Loved the Alaskan countryside & the excursions we took (booked with private companies) were awe inspiring. A slight negative was the overall operations of the cruise ship. The entertainment was great, facilities were great and we had fun. We did think that the food was only average & not up to the standard of other cruises we have been on. There is only one coffee shop on board & they were always under the pump. The staff generally seem the be constantly under pressure and we did not enjoy the usual rapport you have on a cruise, especially with the waiters. Some of the staff bordered on being unfriendly. Maybe that could be a language problem as nearly all staff were from Indonesia & Philippines.

I'm glad we did the total tour of Train, Coach and ship. It made our trip varied and interesting. I did think 2 days at Banff, Lake Louise and Whistler would have been much better. Art was a great guide. We were lucky to have someone with such great local knowledge. After extensive travel we regard this trip as one of our best ever. Although Alaska was great the ship was a bit tired, but could not fault the staff and the service which were second to none. All in all a great experience.

As much as we loved the tour, we felt it was quite rushed. As most hotels didn't allow check in until 4pm, we didn't have enough time at each destination. We would have loved to spend an extra night at Lake Louise, Jasper and Whistler. This would have made the perfect holiday.

I was about to book our holiday with an American company when a Google search led me to Global Journeys here in Australia - and some $2000 cheaper!! I made initial enquiries and this led to a booking. Contact with our consultant (Michelle) has been frequent and informative. The ability to make part payments was also useful. The documentation we received ...read more was clear and concise. Michelle was also able to amend our names to match our passport as the cruise booking was initially done with our shortened first names. We found Globus very friendly and courteous and I have recommended them to family and friends and will continue to do so. Thank you for arranging a fantastic holiday for us.

A fantastic experience, and a well thought out itinerary. The scenery was beautiful, and the journey will remain a wonderful lifelong memory. The cruise extension was interesting, however Holland America fell somewhat short of our expectations. Their onboard communication was only adequate, and the food selections could have been better. It was a very enjoyable travel experience for us, with a good combination of train, coach and cruise ship journeys, and meeting up with wonderful people from different parts of the world.

Having thought of doing this tour & cruise, we were very pleased when Georgie actually contacted us ( no replies from other agencies we'd contacted) - and it was smooth sailing (forgive the pun) from that moment on. We were very impressed with all aspects of this tour & cruise, it was very well organised and the only hitch was the aftermath of the Calgary floods which caused our Rocky Mountaineer train journey to take longer than expected, however, it is such a wonderful rail experience that it didn't really matter anyway!

The Global Journey's experience was faultless. Georgie dealt with every request promptly and effectively. The tour pace was just a tad quick for us, an extra night or two to catch your breath and look around a bit would have been great for us. The Rocky Mountaineer was brilliant, they do it well. Right from the moment we booked the trip with Georgie to when we met our Tour Director, Michelle Meyers, everything just fell into place. We couldn't fault the trip at all and it all went very smoothly. The hotels were all first class, the Coach was always beautifully clean, the Rocky Mountaineer was terrific and the places the Coach took us to see ...read more were all stunning. We met some great people from many different places and had a wonderful time with them. The ship going to Alaska was more than we expected and it was great to see the little towns along the way and talk to the local people. Overall we enjoyed the whole trip and haven't stopped talking about it since we arrived back home.
