Spent an amazing 3 weeks exploring the 3 countries. Never knew of Belize before signing up for this tour and had one of the best snorkeling experience ever. Being a bit of a longer tour than the usual 2 weeks, it can get tiring towards the end but this tour really covers a lot of places and distances and much time on the road. Nevertheless, this tour read more is a great way to get the taste of Mexico, Guatemala and Belize. Best tacos and coffees.
I regret only attending this tour for Puerto Princesa and El Nido. This tour really opened my eyes to the adventures and beauty this country has to offer. From planning the group activities to helping a small group of us plan a trip on a free day Albert did amazing. His expertise of the areas was appreciated!
Costa Rica what an amazing place to visit, there are sloths, birds, jungle, national parks, beaches, great food what's not to love. G Adventures fantastic tour great locations visited, we had the most passionate, informative, positive Tour Leader we have ever encounted we have done many many trips over the world. We would highly recommend G Adventures read more and our wonderful travel advisor Tracey Standing that made this trip happen. Thank you so very much.
The tour was fantastic, I would 100% recommend it. My group leader, PC, ensured everyone was looked after, and was having a great time.
Beautiful Jordan with G Adventures 0Highlights of JordanMichelle and Sharon, VIC, Australia, Mar 2025
The 10 days trip in Jordan has been amazing. Not one dull day. Weather was perfect and not many crowds. Everyday we were at a unique place and definitely hit all the highlights in Jordan. Even though its not an 'active' tour, it is definitely active enough compared to other classic tours which I am glad. Jordan is amazing, would love to return again.
It was an interesting trip, very different to what I expected. Accommodation left a lot to be desired, especially in the early part of the trip, sometimes no hot water or lukewarm, I would say 1 to 2 star rating. Very disappointed there were no breakfasts included and usually stopped at fast food places on early start days. A lot of time spent on read more bus travel. Having to pay for nearly all meals plus all the tipping made it an expensive trip. Highlights would be seeing some of the ruins, snorkeling in the Caribbean, swimming in the Cenotes, plus cooking class with the women's group, but the thing that made the trip was the people in the group, they were the best crew ever.
Had travelled with G Adventures in Cambodia before (river cruise to HCM City) and enjoyed it. This trip had good and not so good features. Note, I travelled solo, on a room share basis. Angkor Wat was really worth the return visit as we got to go up to the top level as it was no so crowded as when I was there in Jan 2020. The tour gives you a real feel read more for the countryside as opposed to just seeing Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. The country towns (except Kratie, which we didn't see any of) were really interesting, each with its features. It was nice to visit businesses with a community emphasis eg silk farm and restaurant as part of the tour and the La Plantation pepper farm (by tuk tuk).
It is worth spending a few extra days in Phnom Penh as there are quite a few places to see that are not included on the tour. Koh Rong island is a good place to relax with a nice beach (very clean, warm shallow water) and a lovely walk to the next village. Food options on the island were very good. Hotel there was very basic for the price (price on booking site 2-3 times the other hotels we stayed in). Our G Adventures CEO was pleasant and helpful with good English. He took us on a tour of his childhood home and small village, showing us the local rice wine factory, etc
That said there are a few downsides to the tour. I chose this trip over Intrepid as it had more free time. However, optional tours took up almost all the free time (total cost about US$250) and there was pressure to do these by both the CEO and other participants. Hotels in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, whilst good, were poorly located (about 2km from city centres). I didn't mind the walk but was not comfortable doing it after about 7pm alone. This was a pity in Siem Reap as the city comes alive at night (in PP it was not such an issue as I had extra days there in a more centrally located hotel). Also, the hotel in Siem Reap was not the one listed in the final itinerary and CEO said it had not been used for sometime (it is still on their itinerary on the website). Hotel in PP was surrounded by motor bike repair places and CEO said there were no recommended eating places nearby (so group had to get tuk tuks into riverside area).
Hotels in other locations were basic but adequate, except Kratie. Tour went to Kratie to see the endangered dolphins. We did this on motorised boats, which simply meant chasing the poor things around making a lot of noise (only 2-4 people per boat) and risking injuring then with the small propellers. This was all we did in Kratie as hotel was on edge of town and it was after a long day's travel. Hotel was really basic as was the food provided (many had cold meals that should have been hot, even though we had to order in advance).
Single supplement is about the same as paying as you go for a separate room (should be half that). Booking with Global Journeys is always easy and this trip was no exception. Tracey even went to the effort of providing the address and contact numbers for the hotels, as GAdventures did not. I would I go with G Adventures again - only to a country I was not confident getting around by myself. If you are a couple you could probably hire a car with driver and stay in better hotels for the price of this tour.
The tour was a great way to see Laos quickly. I especially loved the homestay night on the slow boat and wish that we could have spent more time with the community. Nak was an amazing CEO who helped us all in any way he could and created a welcoming, warm and lively environment.
Group of 16, hassle free safari. Saw the big 5, did game drives, boat safaris, walking safaris, mokoro safaris. Saw vic falls. Did the add ons of okavango delta flight, vic falls helicopter, vic falls white water rafting, all amazing. Best part of the trip was Massivu our tour leader and Anthony our driver, both amazing people who made the entire trip read more an extremely memorable one, thank you to both of you 🙏
This was a well organised trip through Vietnam from Hanoi in the north to Ho Chi Minh city in the south. Our guide was very enthusiastic, the tour inclusions very interesting and great additional options - for example, our culinary tour in Hanoi introduced us to the different tastes of Vietnam. We had a motorcycle tour in Hue that took us out of our read more comfort zone but was well worth doing. We have travelled previously with G Adventures and would do so again. We especially like that the company supports disadvantaged or handicapped individuals in the country we visit.
We are a family of three, with a 14yr old daughter. We completed a 9 night tour in Japan with G Adventures , booked through Gobal Journeys. Our agent has been very responsive to my email queries. There was a issue with the sleeping arrangement, but with a great response the issue was resolved to my satisfaction. The tour had a friendly, enthusiastic read more and very helpful Japanese guide
Out group of 15 for on well, we were varied ages, my daughter was also well engaged with the group. Accommodation was comfortable and varied with size of rooms and comfort of the bed, all expected after researching Japanese Accommodation.
I would definitely recommend this tour for those interested in seeing Japan, but without the stress of being from A to B.
I absolutely loved my time in Mexico! G Adventures was amazing and I would highly recommend them to anyone. My tour guide was so informative and made sure everyone had an amazing time. A high light of my trip was going on a party boat in Lake Bacalar and also visiting Chichen Itza as we learnt so much about the history.
Awesome time spent in Vietnam on Classic Vietnam: Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City tour 28 Aug to 6 Sep 2024 0Classic Vietnam: Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh CityMartha and Katrina, Christchurch, New Zealand, Aug 2024
This G Adventure trip booked through Global Journeys was great. Well put together, great hotels, fabulous food, awesome guided tours, with plenty of great optional activities with ample spare time to do whatever we wanted to do. The cost of the tour was very good too as were the optional activities. Communication was key throughout from start of booking read more to end of tour, we were always kept in the loop.
Highlights of the tour were Halong Bay, kayaking, Train Street, Hoi An sights and shopping, motorbike tour to interesting places, noodle making, Cu Chi Tunnels and so many more and all the guides along the way were fantastic, knowledgeable and funny too which made the trip memorable. We had an awesome CEO, Nak, who made us feel very welcome and treated us like family which was very special. He was so much fun, lots of jokes and laughter and fun photos/videos to capture our memories. We loved his enthusiasm and passion for Vietnam which was evident in every story and explanation he gave, and he showed his love of the company, G Adventures. I would definitely book a G Adventures trip again when travelling in the future. Thank you Nak, G Adventures and the Global Journeys team!
We used the G Adventures package tour to visit Iguazu Falls and very happy we did so. Trying to visit independently and working through logistical issues would have been challenging, particularly for those, like us, who have no Spanish nor Portuguese language skills. This package handled all the logistical arrangements of airport transfers, border crossings, read more visiting both sides of the falls, including the various walks, and arranging the optional activities. We chose to visit the Bird Park, which was excellent and highly recommended, and also did the boat trip from the Argentine side which is a thrilling ride under the falls. This trip is not operated by G Adventures directly so there are some slight differences to normal G tours, but we were very happy with the tour and recommend it highly.
Italy with interest 1Ultimate ItalyKathryn, ACT, Australia, Aug 2024
The Ultimate Italy tour was a fabulous 14 days spent with a great group and led by a charismatic and knowledgeable CEO, Silvia. The itinerary - from Rome to Venice - was spaced well with at least 2 nights spent in each accommodation. As is noted, you need to carry your own luggage so backpacks proved preferable over having to carry suitcases. My dealings read more with Global Journeys were very professional with prompt and accurate information provided, and very friendly and efficient staff. Would definitely consider another G Adventure trip, and will use Global Journeys again.
India - the sub continent! 0Essential IndiaMeredith and Richard, NSW, Australia, Aug 2024
India is an amazing country with an amazing history, varied cultural and spiritual beliefs and architecture to die for; a photographer’s dream. Beware though, it’s is not a place for the faint hearted as it’s physically and mentally challenging on a daily basis. It can be quite hot and steamy and the general cleanliness and noise pollution could become read more quite overwhelming … rural settings are somewhat less confronting.
Accommodation standards do vary and does food quality. A roll of TP is a mandatory piece of arsenal a tourist must haves! Be sure you are well researched before signing on the dotted line … well informed an India trip or tour will be most rewarding.
Great tour through Java 0Best of JavaHayden, WA, Australia, Jul 2024
Great group of travellers and a great guide with Mangun! Good local knowledge and always very organised 😁 Optional Tours were all exceptional and our bus drivers were all friendly and experienced.
Booked very last minute all things considered but still experienced an overall stress free and exciting time. Took a solid amount of planning out of my hands and was amazing for a first time traveler such as myself
Excellent trip organised by Global Journeys. Georgie our travel consultant was very prompt and friendly in all correspondence! Excellent value for money. G adventures tour operator are very organised and efficient. Accommodation was 4 star, travel group was small and felt like family. Overall tour was a good mix of travel by boat, train, flight and read more luxury bus. Enjoyed every moment of the trip.
