Enjoy a free day in Chefchaouen to explore. The city, whitewashed in different shades of blue, is spectacular on its own but with the surrounding mountains, it's a sight to behold. - On this trip you can expect to stay in local hotels or pensions (with the exception of the start and finish hotels, which are often larger city hotels), which will vary a little in standard and facilities: some may not have elevators, air-conditioning or English-speaking staff, but most importantly all are locally-run, with some traditional character, and in excellent central locations to give you maximum time for exploring the sights.
- Please note that Morocco is a developing country and as such the infrastructure is not as reliable as you would expect at home. Expect quirky plumbing and the odd cold shower!
- While in the mountains our accommodation will be basic refuge-style multi-share with shared unisex facilities. In Merzouga we will stay in a traditional desert auberge (guesthouse).

We have just finished our two-week 'Highlights of Morocco tour with G Adventures and it was excellent. Our small group of eight was in the best of hands with Abdel our guide and Ismail our driver. The mini bus was air-conditioned and comfortable. The tour included many little extras off the normal tourist trail such as meals in family homes and visits read more to women's co-operatives. The accommodation was good and the food was wonderful. We all came home eager to try and replicate some of the new dishes we were given.
We had a fabulous 15 day highlights tour of Morocco with G Adventures in May. Fabulous fast paced tour led by a brilliant Chief Experience Officer. We explored beaches, medinas, Sahara desert and the High Atlas Mountains. We had a group of 10 from different countries and had a great time. Highly recommended.
From the busy cities of Fes and Marrakech and Roman ruins of Volubilis dating back to 1BC to the snow-capped peaks of the High Atlas Mountains and the Sahara desert, this tour is all encompassing. A fast-paced trip as I like it, offering endless variety for all my senses and camera. A knowledgeable guide who was proud to show us his country and put read more together a good mix of restaurants, picnic stops, markets and rest stops into the itinerary.
